wow your story at the end just touched my heart. Sometimes when you speak to others with just a hello or even a little saying like "hello beautiful" or words of kindness for other they might have had a bad day and for you to speak might have brought joy inside of them and they will remember that of just a person they didnt know speak kindly to them. I had that happen to me and i saw this women again outside of her profession and she just thanked me for my kind words to her that day.
Isnt this book in English translation as well, I might have read something like this in Elementary school. Also hearing you speak French brought back memories in my French class, and how I really showed develop the language and practice again, but I know Spanish as well so the two sometimes i mix when talking lol
your children are so fortunate to be exposed to speaking multiple languages. this is such a great story and i enjoyed listening to you read it :-) thank you

This was my favourite bedtime story when I was a child, my dad always used to read it to me and this brings back a lot of memories :)
