@LavergneCP Ghosts =/= Missingno. You could encounter a Missingno. that looked like a ghost if you performed the glitch with certain letters in your name, but not all Ghosts are Missingno.

@Garr386 Pokemon is quite linear, I can't imagine what wrong decisions you can make. I just keep track of the moves by which level they learn them and then keep a document which reminds me which move is what.

Anyway I liked the video. I love these theories even if I know they're false. It's a fun "what if" thing. I especially love the Gengar being Clefable's shadow thing. That one I can believe. I also heard Clefable was meant to be the mascot for Pokemon too. There's even stranger talk about Giratina being devil-inspired and the Old Chateau theory. It keeps me entertained because mostly I'm wracking my mind trying to come up with new unique Pokemon sets. Mewtwo and Mew more so.

I know that the allegations of the "disturbing images" weren't true, but it was often reported that the sprites are actually withing the image directory of the game, but never brought out. Like, people claimed that if you were to access the files, you'd find the image animations for them supposedly. I'm pretty sure that's not true either (as the Buried Alive was denied validation).
i don't see whats so hard to believe that blue's raticate died, maybe not that YOU killed it, but it could have died some other way. it makes since why he questions you being in the pokemon tower in the first place when he was there too, he was visiting his deceased raticate. who knows, maybe its teeth grew too long and it died from bad care, i had a Guinea pig that died that way.

I had few fun glitches happened to me with Pokemon Stadiums. I got Pokemon Nidokings They were named "??????????????????????" 3 of 'em was 100 level. one of 'em was 1 level they all knew 4 attacks tackle,tackle,tackle,tackle. I don't know how those nidokings got in to my old n64. After time passed more weird named pokemons started to appear in my pokemon stadium like dittos or oddishes. They were named with special marks.
@zeeviz If you move glitch Pokemon, like Missingno over to Stadium, they will usually become dittos. I think in either Stadium 1 or 2 they become "substitutes" and cannot be used in battle.

bout the raticate thing, what i think happened is that since blue is a selfish jerk and reminds me a lot of paul from the diamond and pearl episodes, he gets ridof his raticate for beeing a "fool" just like paul got rid of his azumaril after failing his first gym battlewith roark just my theory
It was just a creepypasta story, it's a whole genre of creepy stories usually dedicated to stuff like this and frequently based on videogames. A number of the more famous creepypastas are Pokemon-based. They're not 'rumours', they're just creepypasta stories and most people reading are aware of this.
There's no need to take it seriously enough to spend hours trying to 'disprove' it. ;)
He does talk about the captain being a CUT master. You only need cut like 3 times in the game so he prob just stored his ratticate after teaching it cut, something I do in every game

Don't people remember how popular Pokèmon was back then? The news media in Japan, S. Korea, America, Europe, and Australia would have KILLED to hear such allegations. pff haha, the gameboy never ever used .wav files. The track is written in a specific code, that the gameboy then generates, so there's no way that it could have play that file back. heh, its funny thinking of that though.
I can see several reasons to why the first two rumors are fake. First of all, they say the white hand has two unknown attacks that are listed as "fist" and "brutal", and then later on explains what the attakcs do. Well ok I thought those attacks were unknown but not at all? As for the buried alive, it's supposed to be a "boss" of the game. Oh I'm sorry I didn't know pokemon was a fucking RPG. Besides losing to this boss seems to ruin the game forever. Why would anyone even bother to do that?
@TamashiiHiroka aha, well actually it goes by what he meant, from what i know. red is the character that you are. and green is your rival... for instance, pokemon silver when you fight red... and same in gold. the name doesnt change, just some clearance :3

I do believe this whole big legend around it is fake (obviously), but the original lavender town music still makes me feel strange... And that's kinda creepy. I never have headaches, but i do when i listen to it. I might even get a bit sick. Really, really weird.

bout the raticate thing, what i think happened is that since blue is a selfish jerk and reminds me a lot of paul from the diamond and pearl episodes, he gets ridof his raticate for beeing a "fool" just like paul got rid of his azumaril after failing his first gym battlewith roark just my theory

It was just a creepypasta story, it's a whole genre of creepy stories usually dedicated to stuff like this and frequently based on videogames. A number of the more famous creepypastas are Pokemon-based. They're not 'rumours', they're just creepypasta stories and most people reading are aware of this.
There's no need to take it seriously enough to spend hours trying to 'disprove' it. ;)

Btw, most of the Lavender Town Syndrome was caused from the original song that played which was different from the Red American release. However, as you mentioned in your video, all these are is Creepy pasta.
The Unknown programmer that they ramble on about is actually somebody who has mess with a cartridge or ROM of their own and then probably sold it or whatever, they are not literally referring to the original program team.
I'm uber glad you used a original Green copy though, good job!

I find it kinda amusing when people think things like the supposed "Lavender Town Syndrome" or White Hand causing illness or suicide were as real as the Porygon episode seizures. Don't people remember how popular Pokèmon was back then? The news media in Japan, S. Korea, America, Europe, and Australia would have KILLED to hear such allegations. It's not like the first gen games were just some obscure creepy retro games that barely made it to the US.

pff haha, the gameboy never ever used .wav files. The track is written in a specific code, that the gameboy then generates, so there's no way that it could have play that file back. heh, its funny thinking of that though.

I can see several reasons to why the first two rumors are fake. First of all, they say the white hand has two unknown attacks that are listed as "fist" and "brutal", and then later on explains what the attakcs do. Well ok I thought those attacks were unknown but not at all? As for the buried alive, it's supposed to be a "boss" of the game. Oh I'm sorry I didn't know pokemon was a fucking RPG. Besides losing to this boss seems to ruin the game forever. Why would anyone even bother to do that?

@TamashiiHiroka aha, well actually it goes by what he meant, from what i know. red is the character that you are. and green is your rival... for instance, pokemon silver when you fight red... and same in gold. the name doesnt change, just some clearance :3
