I love the smell of the monorail :) there's just something about it. Being so excited and listening to the guy's voice and seeing the castle, passing thru the Contemporary hotel :)

And then at night when you're about to fall asleep and those blue seats feel like absolute heaven and you wouldn't trade it for anything in the world :) everything seems so perfect, and you're just so content. I love that

Thank you so much for this video. The only thing that could've made it better is if you immediately got off at the TTC and boarded the EPCOT Center monorail and had a video of both loops (and if it still had the Matt Hanson spiels, which were infinitely better than the current voice).

to me, everything that moves on the WDW property & can be ridden (monorail, bus, ferry, the tram) i consider an attraction. we were like lunatics. we were even more looney in the summer when the lines are loooong & the temp is 95 degrees in the shade! but oh the anticipation of waiting to get on the monorail & the joy you feel when you get inside never gets old!

We went from 5th to 19th February. Sadly absolutely freezing wind from the north although 12 of the 14 days were bright and sunny. This was the third time I have visited in Feb but the coldest by far. just unlucky really. Hoping to go back in Sept but flights from UK almost double what they were a year ago.

The construction site next to the contemporary resort is the future site of bay lake tower resort. Its currently under construction, and is opening next year, or at the end of this one.

Actually, I don't :( But I would guess they would due to the proximity of the original contemporary. Oh, and I was wrong. the estimated opening is August 2009, as of now. and units are on sale for DVC members, currently.

this is the Express Monorail so it goes from the Magic Kingdom to the Ticket and Transportation Centre and back, the Resort Monorail goes around and stops at the Contemporary, Polynesian, and Grand Floridian.

usually 8am. Depends on when park opens. If it opens at 8am, It probly opens at 7am. Epcots monorail operates from 7:30am - 1:30am

The max speed of the Mk VI is in excess of 75 mph. However, Disney restricts speed to only 45 mph. A top speed of 54 mph was achieved at WDW by a monorail in a test run.

I think the sad comment they make is when they mention if this concludes your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, when the Monorail returns to the TTC. So it must be hard when it's true for some of those guests who hear it.

Me too. My mom and I stayed at the Grand Floridian Resort And Spa just so she could chill out at the spa and the pool, and I could ride the monorail all day long and I never got bored of it.

I can remember from 1975 when I was little how cool it was to sit in there after a day at the park. You're all hot you climb in and that a/c hits you and once you hear that air sound of the door closing and the movement on the rail, your happy and want to take a nap.

I didn't go on this monorail when we went to EPCOT for the first time from MK-TTC. Can anyone tell me why?

because theres three different monorails. The express that takes you from the TTC directly to the MK. The Resort which stops at the MK, TTC, Comtemporary, Grand Floridian and Polynesian. The third is the one you were on. It goes from the TTC to Epcot.

No he was on the express monorail that takes him from TTC to Magic Kingdom, not the Epcot monorail. The trip from TTC to Epcot takes longer to get to.
