So much so that i bought the dvd of Ramayana especially for its songs but sadly the songs in that dvd turned out to be in sanskrit which made it difficult for me to memorise the words............but i simply love this song. rams duty as a king was greater than his marriage as he was first duty was towards his society. he know sita was pure however people started to talk and doubt sita so sita left. also one reason why sita had to leave is becuase a rishi had cursed vishnu that he would spend a good span of his life away from his wife and feel the pain of it as vishnu had killed the rishis wife. hope that answers your question. i tried to narrow it down as much as

yug, when ram had killed ravan, he said to laxman that the real sita was always with him and the one ravan took away was a maya. he had given sita to agni dev before ravans sister came to panchvati. ravan couldnt even have looked at the real sita. sita could have been given back in private but ram heard some varnar talking about sits chasity so ram did the agnipariksha, when sita walked through the fire the real sita walked out. this way he got sita back and shut ppl up
