That takeoff was impressively short, but keep in mind, most airliners are quite a bit "overpowered" from a thrust-to-weight ratio point of view. Since this was apparently some sort of airshow display, the aircraft was, i'm sure, carrying just the flight crew, minimum fuel, and no passengers, baggage, cargo, or catering supplies. Therefore, such a short takeoff is certainly quite easily doable. Great show!
seems like 757's have a high power to weight ratio...

I hate to tell you this but the Boeing 757-300 or 200 does not have afterburners. Why do I know this? I am a 757 pilot for Delta Air Lines.
