I want to know why and how when i strum over 16 nps the game won't register my strums (i'm talking about not only when i'm hitting notes but also when there are none) because if I was to strum my fastess then i'd fail almost instantly but the meter hardly goes down, which would indicate not registering my strums am I right?

GoWC is a lying sack of shit as proven on many occasions. Don't take his word on anything. And yes the game does have a strum cap. If you strum over 16 nps the strums cancel out and you end up missing a lot of notes. This is 15.5 nps meaning you have to strum with crazy precision or else you will go to slow or go to fast and cancel out the strums.

In GH3 there have been faster strumming sections that have been FC'd, but using the same guitar for Trogdor is much more difficult, because there is a strum limit in the game. GH2 and RB1 were made by the same people, and they both have strum limits.

Well, they can't change the timing window for drums. The same timing window used for strumming is also used for drum rolls. Therefore, if thousands of people have fced the fast roll in This Calling then why the hell does it take months for one person to fc the strumming in GGAHT. BTW, there is a timing window for GH3 lol. It's just a lot bigger compared to rock band.

Rock Band 2 has been proven to have no strum limit. Also GH3 has a timing window but the front end and back ends are larger then other games. What you are thinking of is that if a hammer-on is the only note coming you can be holding down the fret before the note even before the note appears and still manage to hit the note. That is just the mechanic for hammer-ons they decided to use for gh3.
