Radiohead, Queen, Muse, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, The Beatles, U2, Coldplay, and R.E.M are often compared with each other. In my opinion, I can see why this is, but I have always seem them all as different, except for Coldplay and Muse (they are the REAL posers, if anyone is). Although, Radiohead, I believe has the most unique style of all of them, Johnny Greenwood and Thom Yorke compose, write, and play songs In a style that bands such as Coldplay and Muse have tried (AND FAILED) to imitate.
@blood666fall Muse's first album Showbiz is the only thing that has sounded remotely like Radiohead. They have done just fine with their other albums. They've played Wembley Stadium 4 times now. They didn't intentionally copy Radiohead on their first album, although they have admitted that The Bends is a big influence on them. Listening to Muse's later albums, it's more of a Queen/Rage Against The Machine hybrid. They are their own band, but they pay a lot of respect to their influences.
radiohead kicks Muse, U2 and Coldplay... they're much more inventive and originals. They have invented something! Maybe U2 too, but just a thing, they can't do things so different as Radiohead. This is the best band in the las 20 years
awesome man thanks for the houston vids! i was lawn for this show so couldnt see much other than a vortex of light. one of the best times ive ever had
the Muse vs Radiohead debate is like the Coldplay vs U2 debate, it's pointless... they are all different and every person will have different opinions on each...If Radiohead had continued along The Bends/OK Computer route they would be absolutely massive now, but went all experimental and downhill in my view, Muse have stepped into their place, but their is room for both of them...
Just shut the fuck up you muse fans ok? Why you always must complain about radiohead and other bands. Just shut your mouths full of cakes. End of story! Muse = great band radiohead = great band. Bye chlidren.

Saw radiohead twice this tour and they didnt play planet telex on neither show...it is one of the songs, amongst I Might Be Wrong and Sit Down Stand Up, that i was REALLY hoping to see them play live...oh well, they played My Iron Lung in St. Louis which was awesome
This was by far the best concert I have ever been to. Thanks for showing it to me again! the rainbow before the show was so awesome, and then when they were playing there was a shooting star. no lie. wow, what a show!

Muse are the bratty lovechild of Radiohead and Queen, they are ok but they are never going to be as good as either of those 2 bands.
Radiohead = best ever... Pink Floyd = 2nd :D

Yorke's voice is a bit whiny on this song. Bellamy is a much better singer!
manco82 2 years ago
Bellamy is the whiny fuck, not Thom.

@degree7 - listen to "Stockholm Syndrome" and then write that Bellamy is a whiny fuck. If anything "Planet Telex" defines Yorke as a whiny fuck.

@manco82 Stockholm Syndrome is just a terrible song altogether.

manco82 2 years ago
Yes, I am shitting on Stockholm Syndrome.
It has no soul. What's more, the song just appears to be about defining the term 'stockholm syndrome' itself, only utilizing trashy, cliched lyrics.
I'm sure if you're a fan of hard rock and heavy metal (and you're an angsty teenager) then Stockholm Syndrome is probably the Best ThiNg EvaR!lolz
But some people just appreciate more subtle and defined music, that doesn't make use of the louder=better mentality.

@degree7 - you think SS is easy to play? I'd like to see Radiohead try it. It's fast and lots of time changes.
manco82 2 years ago
@manco82
When did I say that SS is easy to play?
But it doesn't matter, because Johnny Greenwood is a 10x better musician that Bellamy.
degree7 2 years ago
@manco82 what time changes? Stockholm Syndrome is 4/4 throughout. do you actually have any idea what you're talking about?
