Went on this For a week, Dec-8th-15th Sydney to New Caledonia (Nomea, Mystery Island and Isle of Pines) One night there was a Giant big Bump, We hit an Cargo Container, lol. Theres a big Bump with Blue paint of the front of the Ship now. Though the Cruise was Awesome. Btw Sarah Brenton was the captain :)

Will be boarding Pacific pearl in November 2011. First time on a ship so looking forward to the experience.

I will always see her as ocean village! The best memories of my life was aboard ocean village and im notletting a refurbishment take that away! When im older il visit that ship again, il still call it ocean village. Pacific pearl? P&O suck! They should have left ocean village, as ocean village! It was a ship of its own. P&O have loads! Stop stealing ships!

@little2kwl Actually they don't P&O Australia is different to P&O UK. How you think of P&O is different to P&O Australia which is a lot like Ocean Village.

Went on the 19-27 jan. Was so awesome we've decided to do it again lol. So we'll be back on the 8 of Jan this time, wanted to do the 10 day as 8 was'nt long enough hahahaha. We even managed to get a group from the prevoius cruise(19-27 jan 2011) to come along hahaha

just got off Jan 27th - jan 30th. Had the meanest time at sea!! Awesome room, loved the Waterfront and Planatation, regulars at Connexions hahahahaha The marquee is awesome too. Sup to all the Food & Wine Jan 2011 cruise peeps! FVHS staff, that's us again next year!

Yes... we are booked from Auckland on 15 May, and I just cannot find a website to tell me what is provided in cabins (e.g. ,soap, hair dryer, you know, basic hotel type things) got any info? Wonder if we'll meet!

i heard from a lady today following her inaugural cruise and she told me she had an overflowing toilet,lights not working in her cabin and also was disappointed with the lack of parental control with children.Thats not a fault of the crew or ship but it sounded like a lot of westie families with no parental skills were on board.I hope the crew will be able to reprimand out of control brats when i go on my cruise in May.She said the food was great and the crew as with the dreadlocked pianist.

Just got off the Pacific Pearl's inaugural cruise Auckland - Noumea. I was very pleased with our cabin - deck 6 midships. The entertainment was great, and the standard of service and food in both the Waterfront and Plantation was very good. We had a few teething troubles with flushing toilets. The public areas have been refurbished but cabins only new carpets and bathrooms it seems. I have travelled with Princess, Fred Olsen and Carnival cruise lines over the past 6 years.

going next may on the 15 day cruise to Norfolk Island then to Queensland.Im counting down the days.The last 2 ships ive been on was when i was 14 and before that when i was 11.The old Sratheden and Castel Felice.Im sure this will be more luxurious.The last ones had no stabilizers and built around 1930.
