please anybody please send this song if anyone has a copy of this song to my e-mail so that i can put it on my ipod i can not find it anywhere i do not want the youtube video just the song
I never heard this version before and always knew others sang it but I must agree that the Jackson 5 version is better. Michael at 11 just had a smoother tone. Michael made "Can You Remember" and "Who's Loving You" his and it doesn't matter who sang them before or after ; They are Michael's. Bobby Taylor was a great producer and the early J-5 arrangements are so refined. Even the line "when we were babies" flows better than saying "children"
yea i can remember when i was a kid and play in the rain so much fun just dancing and just damn i cant rember no more but u guys dug deep in the archives and got this hot song
I agree with you about michael jackson. As much as I love the Delfonics, Noone could sing better than michael! happy birthday, michael (Aug.29th) R.I.P.
Like this version better than MJ's simply because the words make better sense. Love MJ too but this is the original. Sounds better coming from an adult than being a kid and saying "Can you remember when we were babies?" The answer is no. "Can you remember when we were children?" Probably more likely. I pay attention to words as well as sound and just like this version better
i'v only ever know the J5 version but i knew it was a cover. this is nice but i'm so used to cute lil michael's version but i do like that this is more mellow. both classics
I keep telling people, never compare the orginator to anybody else who copy there style, the orginator is always going to be the best, cause they had nobody to compare it to when they first made the song! Any musician will tell you that! I like the Dels and J5, but compare J5 to anybody after the J5, not the Dels, because the orginators always win whether you like their version or not!
This jam goes right through me like a sweet summer breeze on an August night, out on the porch, driveway or front lawn kickin' back and lovin' the moment.
MEMORIES ARE MADE OF THIS.
Thanks to PELONSOLDIES for takin' me back to a better time and a much kinder world.
Yes I can remember the blue, red light basement party and the fun we had. Dancing in the arms of that special someone and hoping the music never stopped, Gee thoses were the real days, Can you remember? Thanks for the posting.
my mom talks about those days all the time... lol. i'm 18 and i grew up on oldies especially the delfonics, stylistics, blue magic, and the miracles
the jackson five went hard on this song i absolutely love their version! and renditions of other songs, before i head their version for the first time today i didn't know this was originally the delfonics'! amazing...
Good stuff !!

NO way, the Delfonics sung the crap out of this one, yes, the J5 did it well, but voice maturity doesn't compare to the Delfonics.

All this time I thought this was written for Michael,
Lyrically it was so suited to the J,5, oh well, as you live, you learn,...but for me it's J,5 all the way!
SuperXavier30 2 years ago
they just changed some of the lyrics for the J5
