  • Its sad that they are closing the zoo next year. Just like the poor fate of Glasgow Zoo way back in 2003 where I stay near. The panda will never come to Edinburgh zoo as the debts at Edinburgh Zoo are near busting levels.

  • 1DayLater..

    tool.

    (:

  • @maddieeefyi i AGREEE!!!! what a douche bad, haha:)

  • Dear All,

I have some questions about psychology:

    (1) Why do we love flying?

    (2) Wy do we want to imagine that ocean animals can fly in the sky, especially children?

    (3) Why do we like to imagine and to image aeroplanes as ocean animals? (eg. 747= whale & 787 = dolphin)

    (4) Why do we want to build an aeroplane looking like a penguin in the ocean?

    (5) Why do we enjoy to image sea animals are flying at sea?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

  • @applesweeter

1 = economy likes us to fly and love it. We are not made for flying but it triggers imagination. not same as intrinsic need to fly that you describe as 'love flying'

2-4 Because of aerodynamics studies that discovered that sea animal shapes are very usable for aviation...to some extend

5 Not sure this applies to most humans

But i agree we all like the ideas you suggest and human race wants to go to space at the end...

    good night

  • @jos8000

    Nice opinion!! :)

About questions 1, I guess that birds and penguins trigger our imaginations of how can we fly, and the imagination motivate us to find a way to fly high. What do you think?

About questions 3, I agree. No all people will enjoy to imagine sea animald can fly at sea. However, when I went to Ocean Park (Hong Kong) last year, I would imagine that I can fly with the sea lion in the task. Perhaps, this will give me a sense of freedom. What will be your opinion?

  • Check out the new Edinburgh Zoo YouTube channel at TheEdinburghZoo!

  • @OhFishyFish Your attempt at being funny was an epic failure.

  • annieslander (8 hours ago) Show Hide 0 Marked as spam Reply | Spam You really are taking this too seriously! Suspect you were the person who sniggered when I told my children the penguins are flying under water. Just enjoy the moment without explanation its so much more fun. !!!

And you think i'm taking it too seriously ? just enjoy the moment and keep schtuum!

  • I ♥ Penguins

  • Penguins don't 'flock'. A group of penguins are called a colony! And their movement through the water is often referred to as giving the appearance of "flying". Have i ever been to Edinburgh zoo....yes i lived across the road from it for 10 years!
