I heard Mr. Sweany on 1/15/12 in Morgantown WV and for me he was the show! Not to take away from the others, Ruthie Foster voice is amazing, I enjoyed Magic Slim, Bhi Bhiman was interesting, and Johnny Winter’s Guitar sound was horrible. He is an excellent guitar player/singer-I’ll put it this way, I have never remembered the opening act of any concert I have attended-but he stuck! And why he opened puzzled me, but it did set the tone that all had to step it up a notch.Hope to see him live again.
This is Patrick Sweany. In response to your comment, This is about as straight a cover as I could possibly do of Robert Nighthawk's "Sweet Black Angel" in order to demonstrate that particular style, and it's influence, on players like Muddy Waters and Earl Hooker and more well known Bluesmen to my STUDENTS. So kiss my ass. Prick.

If you are going to do a cover do a cover. If you are going to write an orginianl tune do that, not both.
