I can never get this to work. i use a cassette adaptor and wav-prg. nothing loads. Laptop volume up full, wav-prg volume up full. Tried outputting to soundcard with PRG, TAP, T64 without success.
Normal cassettes work fine. What am I doing wrong.
nice !! but listen me. in you want to insert a mp3 car adapter into the datasette, it's not necessary to disassemble the reader !! i use my c64 like this, but i have removed the plastic sheet on the datasette yellow trasparent or brown.. i'm italian i'm sorry for my english !! later you can remount the sheet on the cassette reader like it's new!
That's actually a pretty clever way to do this... I gotta get hold of a tape adapter for my C64 too :) It would be nice if a similar thing could be done with floppies. I have quite a few that's completely messed up due to R/W errors lol :)

You just need to keep pressing the space until you got past the screen. It's in the video :P
