That's the unpleasant side of being a celebrity/well-known public figure. One option, however, is to call mall security and arrange for them to escort you from point a, b, c, etc. Usually they will accomodate such a request for a v.i.p./celeb. It looks like that's what Avril did @ the end of the vid.
