wouldn't you get arrested for doing this within the states? it being a fire hazard and all. how do they keep from having massive flame mishaps in taiwan during their sky lantern celebrations?

Glo-Lantern branded sky lanterns are totally flame retardant, they can not catch fire and are perfectly safe to use as long as the instructions included (with each lantern) are followed. Of course any local laws must be adhered to.

If it in the sky, it's pretty safe. because It won't go down until the flame is burning out.

As long as the flame keep burning it will rising up to the sky.

Unless, you launch it near your house and it might stuck to the roof or the tree nearby. Stupid people do that sometimes.
