  • no ramp for disabled persons?

  • difference is, you showed a piece of equipment on here thats inside your truck that you can get an article 15 for. good thing the camera is shitty quality. i am sure they didnt show that piece of equipment on tv. hint, makes your gunners ears buzz.

  • @speicher2288 this vids was put out by the DOD Public Affairs office, and cleared for all OPSEC.

  • wow by the time that either hatch drops the enemy has shot 6 rpgs at you wtf

  • ROLL OVER ROLL OVER!!!!

  • watz the mile edge

  • This has same capacity as Humvee but Oshkosh MRAP used by US Army in Afghanistan costs $500,000 while an armored Humvee only costs $140,000. Still, Taliban attacking US and Australian ISAF in their modern MRAP/JLTV's and still getting KIA and casualties. New MRAP/JLTV cannot take RPG, 75mm rocket attacks and IED's by Taliban. New JLTV coming out in 2011 will cost $2.5million each, again same capacity as Humvee. US and Australian taxpayers are just getting shafted...again.

  • OH HELL YEAH.

  • Does the turret rotate? or is it just stationary?

  • @xBiGTxLPZx

might as well be with all the crap surrounding it. also, it's held onto the roof with four bolts and will disintegrate in a roll over. one of those few vehickes where the gunner stands a better chance of survival if he gets ejected. MAXPRO sucks hard balls.

  • Is it just me or does that rear hatch come up and down agonizingly slow?

  • now i just checked out the MASTIFF II and i am extremely impressed. I wish our military would adopt the design and make one of those ourselves. I really like those vehicles. if we American and British used them in the war right now, we would completely own. say what you will, but atleast go check out the MASTIFF.

  • @USxxARMYhello guys, an Italian and ask you what you think of the "LINC" as a means of protection from mines, thanks.

  • they need to fix the door. it should be faster. i dont like that. but the vehicle is very impressive aside from the door.

  • They don't allow film on the inside because its alien technology that they got from Area51 that allows them to make these thing invincible. :D

  • That backdoor makes me think twice.. If that thing goes upside down and power goes off, will that backdoor open... You do need power to operate the hydraulics right?...

  • they still classified.....not video or picture inside

  • @juanronald01 LOL no there not, they even did a Military Channel spcial onthese things and showed the inside of them like crazy.. LOL No opsec violations in any of these videos.

  • @3rdID8487

not as much the interior that's classified as it's the classified stuff intide the MRAP like the CREW system that you're not allowed to photograph.

but whatever it's not like haji can tell what something does by looking at it.

  • @juanronald01 No they aren't. Jeez, there isn't anything that remotely would be considered classified. Any one in the military (me) or has been can tell you that most vehicles are pretty shitty inside. Some cheap pas on some benches or seats, the radio set up, cheap driver "cockpit", maybe some places for storages, interior armor panels, maybe a blufor tracker. Ive been in many different types of MRAPs, HMMWV's, 113's, ACE's, they have nothing that you couldn't buy on the civilian market.

  • We built the fire suppression systems for these....helping ensure a safe return!!

  • @TheEnglishBadman

    english-

i dont know man. i didn't serve on a mastiff but i did serve on an IMG and that thing took a big hit and kept on rolling, plus the img is bit sexier! love you brits though! :D

  • hated the sound of that door closing.

  • Where as the Australian Bushmaster, Protects from mines, Comfortable, Cooled drinking system xD, oh and you only have the 1 type of MRAP, which can be configured for what ever role you want it to perform, Its logistacally and safety wise far greater then the US MRAP's

  • The US MRAP program is a complete failure.. To many varied vehicles, Poorly designed interior, And some of the models tend to tip over on poor roads. Hell one broke his neck when there MRAP went over a bump, another smashed his head into a protruding bolt, Yes the protect from the mines good, But insides need to be totally redesigned,

  • I likes these way better then the bigger ones. I want one.

  • When do these become available to the public ?

  • @MrGornking lol never

  • only waste of tax payers money

  • if taxpayers money saves lives then so be it

  • there to save soldiers lives and it works

  • My son has ridden as a gunner on one of these, it is not a waste to me.

  • pictures/videos of the inside of military vehicles is not allowed

  • Thats not exactly true, many videos and photos of the insides are available directly from the Department of Defense and are not classified.

  • @3rdID8487 doesnt matter. there could be things on a screen or info on or write non something that is classifed.

  • @VBH8888 There is nothing in this video that is classified. One of the steps all these videos got through is screening by DOD themselves for OPSEC issues.

  • really? SPAIN has bought mrap to use them in afghanistan after our bmr were jumping too often over the airs : ' ( ...Is it an bad vehicle? ( sorry my english man )

  • It is an IMG Max Pro MRAP. It's made by International Trucks

  • We discharged some of these trucks today, i was wondering what the black flag was for on the front. U can see it at 2:55sec

  • It's not a flag, it's a wooden box on the end of a metal pole

  • you have to be the dumbest person on earth to put this shit on here. have you ever heard of CLASSIFIED information its ok to have a vid of it rolling down the street but the inside of ANY military vehilce is classified info for a reason thanks for givin hajji's an inside scoop on what we drive. this is just fucking great

  • looks like a ford f650 xD

  • So much for OPSEC...

  • JUst what exactly has been a problem with Opsec?

  • this is all bullshit - these designs arent american - its all stolen from various South African APC designs such as RG32, RG31, Casspir etc - fucking theives!!

  • Umm just so you know i drive this truck everyday in Afghanistan. The Max Pro is a part of the MRAP family. RG's, Cougers,....they are all related so yes they share some features. And the Max Pro is MADE in South Africa so what are you talkin about?

  • It's made in the States by International trucks (navistar). The original design is South African and modified by the U.S and U.K to suit our needs

  • im a medic on train up to go to iraq, and im gonna be on the crew for one of these, i think they are bad ass, im gonna use one as my ambulance in my convoy

  • The austra.lian bushmaster is a far better vehicle

  • sPAIN want this vehicule : )

  • there is no MOS for driving an M-Rap, just a 3 day class

  • Im an 88m in Afghanistan, I drive this truck everyday. Your are right, I didnt get any training on this truck until my conop. before my first mission with the truck. lol Gotta love the army.

  • looks like a humvee on steroid overdose. is this made by force protection inc. or by Am general?

  • the one in this video is made be international now navistar defense called a maxxpro , force protection makes the cougar and BAE makes the RG33L

  • thanks. this should have been in the jurassic rark movies. i bet the t-rex can't chew this one.

  • whats the MOS for driving a MRAP in the USMC

  • im going into usmc may 24th, i believe that the us army are the only ones who use the mrap. i have a buddy who drives one in the army and he is just infantry.

but dont hold me to it, usmc may have these, but i doubt it

  • Hey theres no bleeper when its operating, H&S would have a field day. (he says tougue in cheek) :)

  • Better personnel carrier then the stryker thats for sure

  • mrap

  • And the hydraulic system should be a lot bigger. Two is one and one is none..

  • Nice Doors :)

  • That thing sucks some Gas!

  • The back door is a major fault of this new system. it is painfully slow to open and close. This puts the solders at great risk. The problem with a swinging door is that it is not as secure as one that opens like MRAP. But you need to consider the dangers associated with a slow moving door compared to a more secure door. I am sure that the makers of this vehicle weighed both side of the issue and created the best possible vehicle. (Simple solution install a faster motor to the door or use two)

  • new ones are cut down to half the speed. thats the origonal.

  • Would suck if the hydraulic on the rear hatch would fail

  • not really, has a back up pump..... and hand crank like your care floor jack, plus to get it open in case of a failure there is a quick release that will let it drop down.

  • I have to agree with the comment on the back door; why not have a swinging back door with auto? Does a soldier on the ramp during debussing speed up the doors decent? Also can antyone shed any light why the gunners position is a standing position and not a seated/sling seated position? Is the platform supported from the ceiling or floor mounted (blast shock transfer)? Does the MRAP have central tyre infaltion for improved x-country perfermance?

  • The new MRAP has a swinging door. The gunner seat also has a sling or you can stand. and its supported frm the floor. They are really not to good off-road even with 4wd and the 3 differential locks it has. overall i think its a great vehicle

  • Well closing an armored door is not going to be fast unless you beef up the hydraulic system which makes the whole thing heavier which means less can get into theater per cargo load.

  • whats the difference from Bradley?

  • Is that an M-RAP or an M-TRAP?

I loved my Cougar, best vehilce I have ever seen.

    Oorah

  • need patience when leaving this car....

  • that door, everyone its exposed even the driver, for like 14 seconds,

  • A manufacturing plant not to far from my house is armoring these things.

  • Back door is a death trap

  • @sapperzulu no shit. ambulance is the only use. the fucker is a mobile o.r.

  • i think the door needs to open/close faster.

  • korndogg27- I agree.

  • @korndogg27 No that's just right for safety. Any faster and it may endanger people standing under it. Everything is a compromise. Even an M1 Abrams is vulnerable. US keeps upgrading to more expensive weapons system while enemy still uses old Soviet weapons which are still effective against these overpriced vehicles.

  • ...very late but better than never... i think it will protect the GI´s in an better way...

  • These things are amazing the humvee better get ready to be replaced. My uncle makes parts for these tings.

  • bringlt- I'm glad we finally got something thats pretty safe to drive around in iraq, I just wish we could have gotten them sooner.

  • amen brotha amen
