The best fighters aren't exclusively from North America, so this allergy to international talent by UFC, and their "exclusive contracts" that keep a fighter only within their organization really paint them as a pointless group. It's all about the money for them, but being the best in UFC seems like being the best on your street

They are playing. Fedor is a bear, but Aoki is much more technical. Aoki would get bloodied due to his lack of stand up ability, but sooner or later, he would get Fedors arm, and snap it.

Sure buddy, sure. While I don't think that Fedor is the best fighter in the world anymore (in 2006, yes) he is still the top heavyweight fighter. No doubt.
There are probably only two or three guys that could give Fedor problems in the UFC. Velasquez (maybe), Shane Carwin, and Brock Lesnar. Fedor is a far more skilled fighter than Carwin or Lesnar, but he'd be giving up 50+ pounds to them.
That is true that he gives up 50 pounds to the likes of Carwin and Lesnar. But he has taken on fighters as heavy in Brett Rogers and Tim Sylvia. And heavier yet in the likes of Hong Man Choi (352lbs). I agree with you though, he is the best heavyweight and is right up there pound for pound.
Rogers, Sylvia and Choi are not anywhere close to the skill of a Carwin or Lesnar. Rogers is game but still rather raw. Sylvia was only average at best and was past his prime when he fought Fedor. Choi is a decent kickboxer and poor mixed martial artist. He's 2-3 in MMA with one win coming against Jose Canseco. I still think that for now Fedor would take Lesnar and will always be more skilled. But the better Brock gets over time, the harder it will be for Fedor to overcome his size.
I wish the UFC would do more things like this. It would really help to showcase the skill and beauty of the sport of MMA instead of just promoting guys kicking ass.

I'm sorry, the fact that someone wins a belt as "world" champion with 2 fights is ridiculous.
Fedor has 32 fights, he beat former ufc champions and was champion of PRIDE, wich was an AWESOME tournment.
Also, to say fedor isn't "tested" enough and in the same post saying Brock is, with 5 fights, is a lesson on how to be manipulated by media.
Watch Fesdor fights, all of em. If you can't tell why this guy is praised as one of the best ever, you really need to chose another sport to follow.

They are playing. Fedor is a bear, but Aoki is much more technical. Aoki would get bloodied due to his lack of stand up ability, but sooner or later, he would get Fedors arm, and snap it.

Brock Lesnar? fought 5 MMA fights lost 1, hasn't fought many world class heavyweights.
Cain/Carwin? again have not faced any world class/top ranked heavyweights.
Infact the HW division in the UFC has nobody with a record even CLOSE to Fedor's, and Fedor has also defeated 7 ex UFC heavyweight champions.
The only real challenge to Fedor in the UFC lie in other weight classes, Anderson Silva, Machida and Shogun Rua.

Sure buddy, sure. While I don't think that Fedor is the best fighter in the world anymore (in 2006, yes) he is still the top heavyweight fighter. No doubt.
There are probably only two or three guys that could give Fedor problems in the UFC. Velasquez (maybe), Shane Carwin, and Brock Lesnar. Fedor is a far more skilled fighter than Carwin or Lesnar, but he'd be giving up 50+ pounds to them.

That is true that he gives up 50 pounds to the likes of Carwin and Lesnar. But he has taken on fighters as heavy in Brett Rogers and Tim Sylvia. And heavier yet in the likes of Hong Man Choi (352lbs). I agree with you though, he is the best heavyweight and is right up there pound for pound.

Rogers, Sylvia and Choi are not anywhere close to the skill of a Carwin or Lesnar. Rogers is game but still rather raw. Sylvia was only average at best and was past his prime when he fought Fedor. Choi is a decent kickboxer and poor mixed martial artist. He's 2-3 in MMA with one win coming against Jose Canseco. I still think that for now Fedor would take Lesnar and will always be more skilled. But the better Brock gets over time, the harder it will be for Fedor to overcome his size.
