Please watch on my channel “Innocents Betrayed The History of Gun Control” and my heart goes out to families that are hurt by this tragedy. I would have helped protect you with my ar-15 against that bad guy if I was was there.
@wervasdeferens You have a point, but the problem is that it still could have passed if the Democrats hadn't changed it to 2/3rd majority for some reason. We can agree that Republicans overwhelmingly didn't vote for it but it was Democrats who aborted it even when it could have passed.
@twistfinger The "goal lines" were moved because, in order to pay for the bill, it closed a large corporate tax loophole, and the GOP wanted to get rid of that by amending the bill, calling it a "massive corporate tax increase." So, in order to get around that stall tactic, and show Republicans for the fascists they are, they moved it to the 2/3rds rule, barring amendments. The GOP have shot themselves in the foot with this one!
@JohnnyBB82 I heard about that loophole being closed but I didn't know that was the reason they changed to 2/3rds. The Republicans also didn't like those corporate tax loopholes being closed to pay for unemployment either. The problem is just that all the tea party is going to hear is "we just can't afford this runaway Democrat spending and tax raising that kills jobs!" And they won't even think twice about it.
@twistfinger Exactly. They're painting this loophole closing as a "massive tax increase" to try and hide their fascist pandering to corporations, hoping the American public won't notice. Republicans wanted to stall the bill with amendment after amendment, but Democrats took that tactic away from them. They're always howling about bills needing to be paid for, but at every turn are hamstringing Democrats every attempt to pay for anything.

Only 12 repubs voted to aid the 911 first responders, 12. But this is somehow Anthony Weiner and Nancy Pelosi's fault? Am I missing something here?

So 90% of Republicans DIDN'T vote for this bill and somehow that's the Dems fault?
Wow, Republicans get crazier and crazier with each passing day

@dfrutled We know Republicans didn't vote for it. But the point is that Democrats moved the goal line so that it wouldn't pass for some reason.
