  • looks like lamborghini!!!

  • really cool laptop

  • This computer is good, but the battery life is eh

  • desktops are way better right?

and i think that pc should a a epic icon on top

  • Supposedly removable graphics card for upgrades, not seeing much optional for it, however, many will like that it's 1.5GB video RAM, the 4 core version I see listing allowing more RAM then a dual core version, not sure about it? 8GB is part system RAM (on the mobo) and one card comes stock?

  • You could get the 13.3" Macbook Pro and remove the CD player, and insert the OptiBay, which allows you to put in an extra HD. Not the cheapest setup, but much more compact than this machine.

  • terrible sound, terrible gaming

    worst of both worlds

    at least you have storage

  • FUCKEN every computer apple makes sucks monkey tits fuck and no one who owns one realizes how fucken bad they are and they brag about there shity ass cpu.

  • Vampire!!

  • @1BYEBYE1 My Alienware M14X can at 30 FPS

  • @1BYEBYE1 sure u can just not in directx11 for sure . u need dual GTX (dunno about model but guess 2xGTX260 will do fine) as for gaming on laptop with Nvidia 540m and intel HD3000 running all games until now pretty well and for casual gamer is just great!

  • Mine backlights never worked :/

  • How is the laptop doing so far for dj?

  • Have you mixed video to another monitor via hdmi out? I use Virtua DJ Pro and absolutely luv it. I am seriously considering the Asus g74 or g75 when it's released. Thanks for posting.

  • Is the GPU upgradeable?

  • I have a computer about the same price that runs better. It has 2 SSD, a 3.9 GHz Processor, and 16Gb of ram, with a AMD 6000 Series GPU. Whats up with the spec difference? Is it just name brand kinda thing or what?

  • you been smoking dope? looking pretty zoned if im honest. either that or you never sleep

  • its asooooooooooooos mooron

  • @dwolf97 -_-

  • looks like a lambo from the back ?!!!

  • is the sound good?

  • External hard drive works.

  • 0:23 My keyboard does not light up anymore what did you press to light it again

  • @RageQuitForMe hi i have the same computer and to turn lights on and off under keys press the fn button near the window icon and at same time press F4 or brightness and F3 to dim

  • @1124judiee Omg thank you so much

  • Quem veio aqui por causa do Leon?

  • whats its clock speed...?

  • you look like a zombie

  • Awesome. I guess it's time to dispose my current ASUS G60JX.

  • @itzEpoXy me too! woohoo

  • Virtual DJ home free :)

  • I personally think a ThinkPad would have been a better choice for mobile DJ use, They are very robust but arent massive like this asus. These specs are also overkill.

  • I wanted to buy it but it was really expensive and I bought DELL XPS 17 which was much cheaper i-5 2410M 2.30 Ghz / 8 Gb RAM / HDD with 500 Gb. I placed SSD with 90 Gb so my computer works incredibly fast. Video: NVIDIA GeForce GT 550M and Intel HD Graphics 3000. I've tried to run such games as Battlefield 3 and NFS Run with maximum graphics, they work brilliant. I love the sound technology it has in. Plus 9 cell battery. Good cooling system too.

  • @PsihoDD you can't run bf3 on ultra settings on a laptop.

  • @PsihoDD its nice but the asus cooling system is more advance. and the gpu is 2 times more powerful then the gt line of mobile gpu. dell xps 17 is good for multimedia but not that great for gaming. it speakers is mind blowing but it cant really run bf3 with everything set on max. atleast medium

  • @PsihoDD

well you got a dualcore cpu instad of a quad core in the g73sw, also the g73 has a gtx 460 not a gt555

  • @PsihoDD What model? There are PLENTY of Dell XPS models, you do know I'd hope?!

  • @PsihoDD Optimus technology seems to be pain in the ass. Some older game does not working on this machine. FYI GTX 560M is kicking GT555M ass in most of the benchmark

test which GT555M is nvidia second class notebook fast gpu. Asus G53 can support 2 hdd slot which you can put ssd for bot and hdd for files. This laptop is not for travel/battery life saver, this is best bang buck gaming machine experience.

  • @PsihoDD Its great, only you cannot comparing high end gaming notebook

    to medium gaming notebook.

  • Actually, I was waiting from ASUS something more better.

  • this is chuck norris of laptops

  • It's pronounced "laptop" not "labtop". -__-

  • @Eversorphantas

    Tomato Tomäto.

do you really have nothing better to do than

    correct peoples pronunciation....

    on a laptop review? wow.

  • I will get it in april ;)

  • asus good choice

  • I dunno I got my MacBook pro 15 for $1300 with an i7 as well and I have not yet upgraded the storage. 500 gb is enough for me for a while. Macs are better for most things IMO but there is that price difference. You made a good choice with that laptop, as it got good ratings on amazon. Skrillex and deadmau5 use macs but all that matters is the music you put out :)

  • you should get an SSD for more speed.

  • I am sure there is 9 mm 1tb drive is available in the market but speed is 5400rpm , I suggest you can still use 500gb 7500rpm drive which is prety much faster compare1tb Plus from my experience ( i have hell off game saved in my 500gb drive but still planty of space available

  • hello,

    i have a question.

i saw this laptop for 779 euro with amazing stats.

but is this a good laptop? and is medion a trustable marked?

  • that laptop is amazing i know this because im using one and its mine haha

now put this commet in top comments !!!!!!!!!

  • ive got the same rating with an athlon x2 250@ 3.7ghz OC 4gb of billistix ram OC, Raid 0 and radeon 6570 gpu

  • you should put a SSD in there and it'll fly! like a mac book air.

  • My only complain truthfully, is that they've gone to great lengths in trying to outbeat every single laptop manufacturer, why stop at a lower resolution than Mac. If this PC had the same resolution as a Mac it would have been great. Thats the one thing that people don't understand about Mac be it desktop or laptop. Your not really paying for anything other than a high resolution screen, giving you that ultra bright, rich look. The software anyone can download. They use the same compnoants as pc

  • @aky19832001 This laptop has a good resolution like the mac? or the Mac is better ?

  • @MonkeyDCamacho some Mac images are sharper due to the either the glossy screen which is far better and easier on the eyes or if you opted for upgraded version with higer resolution, its not much higher if you were to choice say a 17 inch mac pro, but that difference WITH a glossy makes objects appear so real its confusing the mind.

If you get the non glossy basic mac, then it would be no difference on paper, BUT you will see that the mac just has sharper images, due to the configuration

  • @MonkeyDCamacho of the MB to graphics card to screen. Like for example if you have a really high end pc and an expensive grahpics card, you can adjust all you want but a 60hz screen with 1920x1080 just kills the effects color quality.

Thats why there coming out with higher resoultion monitors that are I think 2040 at 75hz and offer real clear colors and give you actual colors and not the colors that we have on standard screen. Like a white on a 2040 look super crisp and sharp. on 1980 dull

  • @aky19832001 OK , thanks for the information, so do you think , this is a good laptop ?

  • @MonkeyDCamacho This in my book trampels the mac pro. Your getting so much more performance, durability, ruggedness and the asus warrenty on this particular laptop is great. I've taken apart alot of mac either due to bad hard drive or simply faulty laptop. Mac's always have something going on after a while. When you open a Mac its really just an intel pc, with apple shell and poorly designed internal imo.

  • @MonkeyDCamacho Bascially your just paying for a high resoultion laptop. There no difference on the inside than other laptop. But the Asus offers alot more and the inside is very well put to gether, there are no flemsy cheap components like there are in mac. On the outside mac looks great, once you open up, youll see its its not well put like the asus, I open up this laptop and was very impressed. It was built to withstand dooms day. Buy the newer model with blurary.

  • @aky19832001 Thanks dude ! I will buy this laptop ;)

  • I got that laptop a few months ago. I've already dropped it more times than I care to admit, sat on it and was involved in an automotive accident with me, it flew from the back of my suv all the way to the dashboard ( thankfully It missed my head by a bit). The damn thing runs like its possessed by a demon. Great grahics, but Its not mind boggoling. I build gaming PC. Dollar for dollar its the most you can get.

  • This laptop rapes the fuck out of Mac!!

  • were you able to figure out your Hard Drive issue? I just bought this laptop and i would love to add my 1TB hard drive in there.

  • I think your laptop is awesome. I own a G73jh and I love it. I also think you need to get some rest buddy, you're packing some serious bags under them eyes! =)

  • @chadwickhell dude I have dark bags under my eyes but no matter how much I sleep now they dont go away...what can I do man?

  • Nice laptop. My G72gx still kicks the crap out of anything I throw at it, including Skyrim, though you gotta keep it plugged in for top performance (common?). I may pick up this G73sw when the price goes down.

  • You bought a gaming laptop just for music ? o.O

  • @123NAAB456 If you are actually into making music, a gaming laptop is the right choice, fact that music vst's and music production programs needs that high performence to be driven. This is a laptop I most definitley will buy ONLY for music.

  • @123NAAB456 Audio processing software can be very CPU-intensive.

  • @123NAAB456 i guess he didn't bought it just to listen to music,...cause if it is for producing,... (well yeah the gpu on this machine is unneeded),..but,... when makin' music you just can't get enough cpu&RAM :D

  • @123NAAB456 music requires a lot of processing power when you have many clips at once. i plan to get one for the same reason but gaming will be another

  • @123NAAB456 it does have a sub woofer

  • @123NAAB456 I did too. Music Production/Programming requires lot of power as well, I do graphic design as well.

  • ok im gonna go get some food and this better be in top comments

    when i get back

  • its my little baby

  • i have that laptop i got it for christmas from my dad im using it now

  • G74sx is better ;D

  • @MrPoof15 What is better about it?

  • @TheFatalInstinct1 Its a newer model with a better venting system and a 560m rather then the 460m. Also the 460m is only a 2gb dedicated ram, but the 560m is a 3 gb dedicated. My buddy bought the g73s and the next day they got a shipment of g74s laptops, so i bought the g74s and hes been kicking him self in the face for it ever since.

  • I just got the 15.6 inch version of it..

  • practice and enjoy.. that came from Jonathan aka ellaskins! lol. have you used it in your gig already? hows the performance?

  • Lambo laptop!!!!

  • @jupitertheking100 They have a lambo version now :) Look up the ASUS VX7

  • Hey does this have any HDMI ports?

  • srsly !!! .. its called republic of gamers not republic of DJs -.-

  • ugly as fuck

  • @ysujy10 exactly

  • Asus. Ditch the firewire and replace with eSATA PLEASE

  • Just bought a hp pavillion 2 usb 3 ports and 2 normal usb 8 gig ram 750 gig hardrive and its normal size for 750 dollars you made the wrong choice

  • @wiig80111 Now, let me hear. What kind of a CPU and such is in that HP? HP sucks, and yes he got a really good deal for 1300 bucks instead of ur HP. He cant go mix music on a HP.

  • Brian. What software application are you using on the laptop to create your DJ music? Thank you.

  • ur a dj ur like 45 50

  • i was also thinking about this laptop for itch, looks so fast. just worried about taking a gaming laptop to DJ with...

  • This laptop is big for no reason

  • @cellularrepublic1 The cooling fan? The high-power hardware? A large screen?

  • Its funny a few weeks after I came home with my Macbook pro 15' my dad walks in with one of these dinosour laptops by Dell lol

  • So, you dont wanna join my "church" but u bought a gaming laptop for music ?

    ok ...

  • Batman called, he wants his awesome laptop back....

  • Got one of those babies too, only problem so far is the hdd, which it crashed for me, so now I got asus word on swapping hdd drive \o/

  • why is this for music i mean its a gaming laptop -_-

  • I have this computer, Its pretty BA

  • 666€ and u get same hardware, less noice, smaller laptop so have fun with it

Packard Bell Easynote ts11hr 276ge Check it out

  • he sounds like the bangbros dude. im waiting for him to HEHEHEHHEE SHOW ME THEM TITTAYS

  • Wow i want that, wait i got one :D

  • good luck with it!

  • Y dont ppl with macs not realize that ppl who buy these laptops because macs arent capable of running very hi end shit say for instance crisis. I own a mac laptop and imac along with an alienware.

  • this is a BEAST of a machine! i have the G73SW and it eats games like GTA4 for breakfast! and stays DAMN cool for having serious hardware like an intel i7-2630QM and nvidia GTX460M under the hood

  • Another Happy Customer d=) although i was thinking about getting a 3d Gaming laptop but im unsure..

  • This would be amazing for a ssd/hdd combo for gaming

  • what are u a jew u kid? Add like 200 more $, and get the mac u fucktard.

  • @97Gam3rz Your a fucking idiot. Macs suck, everyone knows it. Why call him a kid? He's like 30 and your like 10.... Pluss save 200$ for music or games

  • @97Gam3rz a mac is for retards. they use outdated hardware and sell them for twice the price. only jews with too much money in their pockets buy macs.

  • @TheSchokoxx lmfao wow ur crazy man

  • idiocracy ..a tablet wud 've been enough for giggingg.IF aren't going to play any games then give me that graphics card .and 3d screen ..damn you

  • Comment removed

  • why do u check ur specs there when u can check it on dxdiag?

  • At 3.20 you said 'labtop' so I immediately disregarded everything else you had said.

  • @fungleboo Lol -_-

  • people. dont buy this thing.. i bought it and just after 6 months the thing is begging to freak on me. i dont even do the crazy gaming! i just draw.

1 the power port will need to be replaced at one point. loose port after 1 month.

2 the asus updater dose not work at all.

3 screen tearing and complete screen blackouts.

    4 flimzy casing.

    5 loose USB PORTS ?!

6 a touch pad that freaks out after 1 hour of use...

all of these are the problems ive faced with this machine!

  • @NetraToraken Your problems sort of totally don't interest masses. If you're unable to fix or get it fixed then go buy a mac or whatever they use for noobs.

  • @aserta im just warning people not to buy this hunk of junk brick

  • @NetraToraken Hard luck never heard anyone say this about asus laps ..let alone their flagship gaming lap. Just give the thing for servicing .you'll get a fixed lap soon

  • @paulthecoolest this is the 3rd one they have sent me man.

  • Sweet lappy. I'm eyeballing it too :D.

Just curious, what's the DJ software you are using there ?

  • @elbutchos stay away from this computer

  • DUDE u look a little like swifty!! cool! well ure awesome thanks!

  • you forgot to mention, it also has bluetooth.... and crashes everytime you plug it in HDMI or play a newer game on it

  • great til you get the black screen of death.

  • In my case was the Blue Screen of Death, over and Over until I sent it 4 times and then they decided to send me a new laptop !!! Grrrrrr.

  • ummm what is that 2:55? what kind of application is that?

  • @anpredictable VirtualDJ

  • i have G74Sx but i want the 73 style tho :) more slicker

  • would you recommend buying this open box on newegg?

  • Yeah I agree with the people below get an external hd

  • How did this only get a 5.9?

  • Use an external hard drive

  • dude needs to get some sleep

  • @grimjow669 Maybe he just looks it. I look exhausted the better part of the time. sleep quite a bit. Just from late night gaming.

  • nice machine , you should get the asus lambo vx7

  • does you Nvidia card keeps crashing and recover please ?

  • i would choose sager np8180

  • Yes Brian you actually have one of the most powerful gaming notebook in the world. The notebook is design after the F-117 fighter jet. I actually worked as a Technical Support agent for ASUS before for over a year, servicing all their flagship notebooks and desktops. Pertaining to the HDD I'm not certain if you can get that HDD case in the laptop but you can try Bestbuy they should sell HDD cases that maybe able to fit your project. Good luck any other questions feel free to ask.

  • :) Just by an external hard drive ....

  • You buy a gaming laptop for music? why?

  • @FullFledged2010 lots of music progs require alot of RAM and a nice processor :P something in common gaming!

  • @Ecko486 But you're paying about 35% of the total price just for the graphiccard. En most music programs dont need an i7 maybe not even an i5.

The most important piece of hardware for music programs is a good soundcard with low latency and a fast harddrive.

Even 4gb ram should be more then enough for things like Ableton or cubase with a shitload of plugins.

  • @FullFledged2010 I guess your right about the graphics card and all that, kind of unnecessary for music - Except running some of my projects on an i5 with just several plugins and effects takes up like 40% of the CPU and a tonne of my disk space causing dropouts and all that D: I updated to an i7 gaming laptop, and no more problems!

  • @FullFledged2010 I don't care how many likes this has... music is more important than gaming >_> Imagine a game without music... That's not even your point... just throwing that BOLD comment out there o: Gaming computers = better at EVERYTHING... buy a computer specialized for a specific task... it will fail compared to a gaming computer, because its specs are not made by smart or nice people. Nice and/or intelligent people make gaming computers... def of nice used here: helpful with tech stuff

  • @DailyColors All i'm saying is that if you want a music deticated system the 2/300 dollar you pay fot a graphics chip isn't going to help you get better latency or more crispy sound. A 200 dollar soundcard / headphone / monitors are

  • @FullFledged2010 Because in every aspect they're better. Better audio, better visuals and more speed. Two of those three things are necessities with a music pc. Also, a decent DAW requires a good gpu for the interface to run smoothly under high load.

  • @ywontudiekid Name me one decent producer that uses an internal sound card to make music? If you're serious about making music on a laptop you use a decent low latency external usb soundcard with full asio support.

So its only the cpu,ram and hdd speed that matters.

The interface of any daw is software rendered so a lowend graphicscard wont even breaking a sweat running it.

  • @FullFledged2010 maybe he also likes playing games! or he just likes the look of it

  • @FullFledged2010 music programs for djing require quite a bit of power :]

  • @bandages13 Like traktor? Virtual dj? Any dualcore can handle them no problem what so ever.

Again the soudcard/driver/ latency or slow hdd is what causing them to stutter and respond bad.

I run ableton live 8 plus native instruments maschine and dozens of heavy vst synths on a dell xps with T7700 dualcore and it never peaks over 70% usage.

  • Awesome video check out my channel for gameplay of this laptop I have rage acb an some others

  • Oh, and Macs ... yeah. I paid about for this machine what my wife paid for her Macbook, and this machine blows her Mac out of the water in terms of specs. Macs are great if you want to overpay for a pretty computer with limited specs. If you want a workhorse, you go with something else.

  • This is a really nice machine. Just got mine a little while ago, custom-built from Xotic PC with 16 GB of RAM and Intel quad core. Great sound and beautiful MATTE display (getting harder to come by all the time). Stays cool and runs whisper-quiet ... quietest computer I've ever owned. I got mine customized with a pair of 1TB HDDs. I don't know the size specs on the HDDs, but it can obviously be done.

  • question for everyone: i recently got this laptop (really good buy so far). In the specs for it, it says it has a blu-ray/dvd combo optical drive. when i put in a dvd it works fine but when i put in a blu-ray, it can't seem to read it. Do i need to get some other drivers for it or does it just not play blu-ray discs at all? hope this question isn't too dumb to ask here lol

  • @maglebeast I will be buying this computer in a month or two and have done a good deal of research. With that in mind, I can tell you that if it is in fact the same one I am buying, then it does not have a Blu-Ray capable optical drive. You either have the wrong product or you were misinformed somehow. For example, newegg had the computer listed with a 1920x1080 screen, when it has a 1600x900 screen instead. Check with whoever you bought from to make sure there were no errors.

  • @Cyclotrimethelene i will do that. thanks for the help!

  • yo estoy dispuesto en gastar mucho dinero en algo que me haga feliz total la vida es una sola y es corta pero primero hago mi empresa y luego compro mi Notebook Gamer Asus G53sx-a1 Nvidia Gtx 560 2gb

  • does this laptop have a lot of bloatware?

  • got 74SX-BBK8 succkkkaaaa

  • Panda eyes!!!!

  • Can upgrade the GTX 460m to the GTX 560m?

  • @AaronBiscuits The performance increase with the 560m is very minimal. Even if you could upgrade to 560m it would be pointless because you would not see a major performance increase.

  • @AaronBiscuits If its mxm you can upgrade to anything within the mxm type 3 cards. (460m to 590m gtx)
