@ crestonfunk These are the instructions for using the original insert, which uses a cradle position. The new heart to heart insert works differently. If that's what you have, then that's why the instructions are different. I agree about the manual being a little less than clear, however. But I tend to be a visual learner.

It seems that this video shows an entirerly different method than the Ergo Infant Insert manual (which is pretty hard to follow.) Which is the right method?

@FanaticalWriter not true, even the Ergo website only has instructions for the sitting position in the original insert.
but it is nice to know you can use both ways, cradling and sitting with the original insert.
