  • My 2012 does that not tat loud though it kinda scared me but it's either belt actuator or belt

  • my 2012 does the same thing...

    kinda scares me lol

  • @kfx450rdude mine used to do that all the time it was my belt. make sure its not to loose

  • @kipp3r84 Its the timing chain.

  • mine dose the same thing mines the valves

  • cam chain?

  • That would suck losing that unit to storage wars lmao

  • @TheHondakid98 haha yeeeeeeeeeeepppp

  • you prob got it fix by now but im kinda wondering what it was.. was it the valves? cuz one of my dirt bikes did something like that and the valves just had to be adjusted

  • mine did it and it was the belt sensor.

  • my 2011 brute started doin that today, only much louder and it only has 150 miles on it?????

  • Its the bushings in the primary clutch. 150%!! its not anything to do with the engine. so dont worry. After 3500miles, my primary started getting a little worn out. Rebulid the clutch and it will go away gaurenteed.

  • its fine its the lifters in the motor. is it do it louder when you first start it and only at idle you really notice it ??. or when your driving do youhear it get louder when you add gas. i have 3 brute force 750, 2-2006 and a 2007 mu buddy has a 2005 they all do it itskinda like a exhaust valve release thing not too sure 100% what causes the sound but its totally fine.

  • hey did you figure out why its making that noise?? my 05 brute is doing the same thing! pissing me off!

  • my 02 prarie did that its normal and its fine buddy

  • its normal

  • My Honda Recon does the same crap....

Its just been rebuilt and ive only rode it 4 times since ive gotten it back and yesterday it started smoking...What do I need to do?

  • @Mac10WithCheese Get a new one!

  • @muboy2100 Nevr will I buy another honda....Everyone here in louisiana has hondas...Either they have an old 300 or a new 420 rancher...But those things look bad ass..Im getting a 2011 Brute Force

  • @Mac10WithCheese Dude trust me! get a honda 420 ! i drowned it out 5 times! one of those was today! I promise to god! I was doing water wheeles! I slip and let of the gas! Sucked up water! Me and my frinds got it out! And pushed the 420 on its side! ANd got all the watter out of the air box! And i started it and cranked up and sounded better than before! And gased all the watter out! and my happy ass went back and TAMED that hole!

  • @Mac10WithCheese kick the guys ass that rebuilt it, sounds like he didn't change the rings

  • oh yeah, the valves need to be adjust :)

  • thats the way it is, its fine.

  • it is eather your belt clutch or the timing chain may be loose my uncles brute had that same prob. and it was the timing chain.

  • that's just the clutch. sounds normal to me.

once they get 10 miles on them the clutches sound like that.

  • sounds like your valves need to be adjusted

  • Have your belt checked. if it gets to tight it will start making sounds at idle in neutral.
