It does make 500 horsepower at the crank. It's a real badass car. Add a good cold air kit and that alone will put you over 500 at the rear wheels. This car responds extremely well to mods.

nope. dynoed at 430-450. The 2010 or 2011's dyno at 500 fyi.

@Mike2VP Actually Mike2VP your correct, roughly 450 at the wheels but at the crank the 5.4 power plant produces 500HP. Most cars lose 15% of engine power from the crank to the wheels. Shelby absolutely has 500 HP at the crank thats why its called the GT500. Oh and FYI the 2010 GT500 has 550HP.

@TheLethalstang Yeah it was a smart move on Fords part giving the Shelby the aluminum block saving alot of weight. Of course what I was stating was that the car in the video 2007 Shelby GT500 has Iron block with aluminum heads.
