I have written it clearly (Yalta, Teheran conferences). Soviets and Stalin are responsible for German expulsion. If you know that Poland existed before 1918 - you should also know that majority of these territories weren't always german. And wow - even Gdansk was founded by Polish ruler - Mieszko I. I recommend you to check historical maps.

my grandad was a polish paratrooper who was captured by the russians. He came to Scotland after being liberated by the british army. he will not talk about the war or about his family and i want to know because i am so proud of my polish roots.

Stalin decided about borders of Poland, because he wanted 25% of Poland's territory for S.U (Teheran conference). You seems to don't know nothing! WW2 - pure justice?! I have written it clearly (Yalta, Teheran conferences). Soviets and Stalin are responsible for German expulsion. If you know that Poland existed before 1918 - you should also know that majority of these territories weren't always german. And wow - even Gdansk was founded by Polish ruler - Mieszko I. I recommend you to check historical maps.

what people dont know is that that Poland, Czecholslowakia, Hungary, Ukraine, Yugoslavia, and the other surrounding slavic countries that were occupied by the soviets after the war fought the most in the war( maybe didnt do the most) but percentage wise they suffered the most losses, and experienced the most destruction to their homelands. So why weren't these countries liberated first instead of France, which joined the Nazis

Alas it is all too true. In American military history, Monte Cassino is too often talked about only in regard to the all black american unit who served there. Little to no mention of the Honorable and Faithful service done by so many fine Polish soldiers. Honor, Respect, and Recognition from at least one (ex) American soldier to all those living and dead. The song talks about battle of Wizna, where 721 Polish soldiers fought for three days against 42000 german troopers, tanks and planes. Almost every Poles were killed, but for every killed Polish soldier died 40 Germans:)
