I agree she was a grate competitor and agonist she had carisma but she was a bitch, She use to intimidate the others girls douring the warm up occuping the spots on the ice where she knew the jumps of the other ladys were and douring the official training session she use to improvise on other girls music in order to make them loose the concentration.

At that time, singles skaters had to do compulsory figures and compete with a 2:20 short program and a 4 minute long program. They trained for 6-8 hours a day. To even suggest it's possible to win more than one medal at any event is ludicrous.
Witt was not the most technical skater, but she was a great performer. She attacked programs and was a good pressure skater.

There are multiple events in figure skating for girls. There are womens singles, pairs skating, and ice dancing. So there are multiple chances for medals just like in gymnastics. The G-string was her short program costume in 1988. Remember after the Europeans she was told to wear more feathers to cover up.
Dagmar deserved every medal she won in her career since she was such a talented gymnast.
If the team bronze was a gift it was only because her teammates were overscored but not her.
Also Dagmar was robbed of the bars gold in Seoul which went to that ugly rat faced Silivas. Dagmar was given only a 9.975 for a perfect bar routine in team optionals which kept her from atleast tying for bars gold. It was unfair that wasnt a 10 since it was better her other bar routines which got 10s at those Olympics. Oh well Daniela can have her cheated bars gold and other golds but she will always be remembered as the loser who lost the Olympic AA to Shushunova.

Wow very impressive that she tried the triple flip. I always thought that her most difficult jump was the triple loop. I know that her entrance to the triple salchow can be easily confused for the triple flip. I had to see this to believe it :) Check out my vid for Evelyn Grossman at the 1990 Euros. I think she would have won 7 world titles, but she wouldnt have won the 88 Olympics....I wish she could have gotten flip and loop consistent in 1994, she improved so much artistically it would have been nice to see

If there was never any figures it is quite possible Ito would have been placed higher then 4th in the 88 Olympic SP and 3rd in the 88 Olympic LP so it is hard to really say who would have won out of Witt, Manley, and Ito without figures.

i think that technically it was her most challenging LP in whole carrer, at 1987 she also landed 5 jumps, but no triple flip
