Its a great song and a great cover. It just always disturbs me that light years is a measure of distance, and it is clear from the song that the what is really meant is time. It is like singing "Hear I sit, hand on the telephone, hearing the voice I'ld known a couple of kilometres ago" I substitute "eons ago" when I sing it. Pedantic ? I guess so,

@DukeSantos45 - I love the JP version all the way, but it is a departure (welcomed, of course) from Joan Baez's version (she wrote the song, after all)....so the 31 dislikes may not be "idiot" dislikes....either Joan Baez fans pure, or maybe it's possible that they are missing the feel that Joan gave to the song. If you'd check her original version out, you may discover something cool too. In the end, I love the Priest, and never really liked Baez, but you have to give her credit on this one.

You can play it in standard with these chords and it will sound fine, but im not sure will it be the same as the recording...

The chords you quoted, you have to drop those. So verse will be barred with open string D, Bb, F, C for example.

Hope this helps. You can play using your chords, but you'd have to tune your instrument half-step down.

Judas Priest and Black Sabbath are like wine. They age well. Very good acoustic cover version of a Joan Baez tune they made their own on one of their albums from the 1970s. I prefer metal over death metal. Metal tells stories on songs and don't always have to do with death or the world being blown to smithereens. Great to see Judas Priest videos I have never seen before, until now.
