  • nice fireplace...

  • the very speed !!!!

  • As a violinist I get really inspired by Bach's guitar pieces - they are the basis for the violin partitas after all. This is surely a fine rendering.

  • I can't write my own opinion, I need to study more about Bach. But I can write about the Technique: It's not bad at all ;)

  • Too much reverb!

  • @TomasMolinaComposer It cant be too much reverb.

  • lol "i'll be bach"

  • "i'll be bach" he says lol

  • Very nice....true Baroque! BRAVO

    REV 18

  • WONDERFUL..I CANT STOP LISTENING

  • Fantastic rendition.

  • Por amor de Deus corta-me esse cabelo!

  • @Picasanta Feche os olhos e abra os seus ouvidos. Isso se chama ouvir música...

  • bravo!!

  • In Päludium you simplified a bit, but there are really tricky passages! Anyhow nice played!

  • Your electric guitar vids are fantastic, but these classical ones are even better by far. Love this stuff!

  • Bach. Is. A. Genius. The guitarist is very skilled, too. :)

  • very nice!

  • Bravo!!

  • Bravo!

    Fantastic job of yours!

  • OMG...this was one of my first show pieces! BEAUTIFUL!

  • I hate you... xD

You are a beast not only with the electric guitar, ¡with the spanish guitar too!

    Great, great guitar player, congratullations.

P.D. I´m spanish, sorry for my english.

  • i love the reverb

its so .....hmm natural? apt? perfect?

  • Ma perchè il salotto di casa tua suona come una chiesa gotica con navate da sessanta metri? Manco fosse la cattedrale di Santa Gudula a Brussels! :p

  • awesome!!!! i have been looking for this piece forever.

    excellent

  • I see you're sporting Bach's hair-style : )

Oh yeah, and, well played! Good acoustics, lovely natural reverb. Good work!

  • BRAVO!

  • @starlinginspector...i agree sir...a chilled out 'genious'

  • Bach in flip flops ...i love it!!

  • @bobcelt Bach himself would approve, he was a pretty chilled out kinda guy ;-)

  • @starlinginspector Love man!!..I think Bach would approve plus palying this Good!1..sounds like a piano guitar

  • @starlinginspector if you consider a god-fearing lutheran and penny pincher a chilled out guy.

  • @starlinginspector

plus as we see from the 21 children he had, and the hundreds of musical works, his wife didn't let him do much but make love and write music :)

  • excellent...hardly anyone seen performing that piece this way

  • very clear sound.! great playing and excellent interpretation!

  • This is excellent! I love your playing. I must say though that I don't like the studio reverb chosen for this video...i think i a little more subtle one would be nice..

  • @msutton2006 agreed

  • senza la giacca e la porta che si intravede c'era pure la simmetria...il sandalo ci può stare

  • Love your version. Awesome!

  • amazing, really good guitarist.

  • Comment removed

  • He just understands the melodic lines in the fugal part greatly, and makes the independent voices of bach's polyphonic technice flower, excellent interpentation!

  • It is a good tempo, for those complaining that it's not "presto" remember that presto in the 18th century cant be compared to presto from the 19th and 20th centuries, you need to consider the poliphony to be clear. Then again, it's a good tempo.

  • Every Classical piece I view just amazes me, but they always has these stupid snobs nit picking little things just to make themselves feel important... "The Presto... blah blah... "... I feel very certain these "critics" would have a tough time playing ANYTING on the guitar. So.... if you have nothing nice to say... SHHHH!

  • esto l epuede interesar a mi karnalito

  • BRAVISSIMO!!!!!

  • I wish this could be downloaded. Ahh most pleasant indeed. 5 stars

  • tio esto no es en directo espero k la musica puesta no sea cortada y pegada

  • I have a really hard time with the tecnique in the presto, especially combining the rythm figure for the right hand, playing sixteenths with the thumb and eights with the index finger, anyone got a tip for practising?feels lke no matter how long or hard i try it seems impossible to get the necessery flow.

  • That was so not presto. Well played, good emotion, but not even close to presto.

  • @CLASSICBOB4200 Yes the manuscript says "Presto" but what are you going by to claim "that was so not Presto"??! A Metronome click?? from an almost loose free form to something SUDDEN and QUICK? Yes it did, and it does so almost on it's own given the form of the piece. And yes, the section in question IS played "Presto." Especially in Bach's era these markings were for feel and mood NOT how many clicks you can put in a measure.

  • Did the section marked "Presto" come up quickly, suddenly or in a somewhat hastily felt manner? Did it prick up your ears as it suddenly moved into the new section? Yes it did and it was indeed Presto. Start thinking of Allegro, Presto etc. as adverbs or adjectives and you will play better. Try taking your metronome to a Fisk or Isbin recording of this piece and it is not even close to being "Presto' either if all you define Presto by is a click.

  • are there tabs for this? that would be super sweet

  • Very good "cantilena" which is not too common for Bach pieces performing.

    Soundsas a concert stage level.

  • nice fireplace

  • Very good performance!

I've heard the Prelude played out of rythm so many times that I'm afraid of listening this piece again. But you did it exactly right. Congratulations!

    Happy New Year!!!

  • The first prelude part can be played in various ways and not only one. It comes natural to be "out of tempo" in order to be more expressive and artistic if you want.

  • should try using sport wrist bands

  • This is great! This second part makes me sleepless because that's so beautiful.

  • That last part with the two melodies is amazing!

  • Very nice piece. Well done. Would anyone be able to show me where I could purchase the sheet music so that I can play this for PIANO. I dont play guitar so that tableture does not help me much. Thank you.

  • Amazing.

  • Qui est-ce ce guitariste ?

  • Bravo bravo.5 stars.

  • wonderful!

  • I simply love when presto it's played leaving you with the impression that there has to be more than one guitar involved. Great sound, perfect tempo and the impression of 2 guitars - thanks! Sometimes, I feel such a deep pity for those who never understood Bach - such a loss! Like someone took away the cake from you and left you only with plain bread.

  • @PrickStanda

Let me just add that I listen and try to play Bach quite a lot but still amazed how I can't grasp his pieces entirely... There is always some hidden detail, a camouflaged cadence, an undercurrent sequence, an implied accent, a deeply veiled thought that I find almost every time. I don't think I'll ever understand his genius completely.

  • @gentlerhino bach (means "river" in german) is a bottomless ocean. :)

  • Du grand travail ! Bravo !

  • Just... Perfect!

  • Bet you he would sound that good even with the oldest crappiest strings.

  • We should all aspire to play Bach this cleanly. Well done!

  • REally Beatifull and powerfull Sound! WHAT STRINGS ARE YOU USING???

  • That was really good except the passagio section should really be played at a slower tempo than the preso section. You played them both at pretty much the same tempo. Aside from that, it was amazing.

  • Si Bach était encore de ce monde, il serait très fier de cette prestation. Bravo

  • Amazing job, by the way you got an honorable mention in guitar idol, congrats! I voted with 3 different email adresses but it didnt seem to change much.

Dont worry man, this guitar idol is just some hyped up crap, most of the voters were 13yr old wankers who don't see talent in anyone but mattrach and gustavo guerra.

You were still the best in my eyes (and many others) Keep updating!

  • Well, violate a squirrel with a cucumber and call it a sock for vegetables.

  • god this song is beautiful, you have a much talent

  • c'est très correct.

  • Wow! That was awesome. Great job. What kind of guitar is that? Terrific sound!
