Tigers usually LOOK like they win cause they usually always swipe with their claws, as where the Lion usually goes for the death blow with a well placed bite (from what i've seen). Maybe they don't live in the same area but they obviously put them together to see who'd win. By powers of observation, the result was the tiger winning. Even out numbered the tiger still fought. I think often times in these videos it obvious that the Lion is just swatting at the tiger like a house cat swats at flys. However that being said, A lion can't beat a tiger 100% of the time. Also many things have to be taken into account, such as age, weight, and if they are playing or actually fighting. Both are amazing animals.

Maybe they don't live in the same area but they obviously put them together to see who'd win. By powers of observation, the result was the tiger winning. Even out numbered the tiger still fought. But when the lion was outnumbered the other tigers just let one tiger deal with him. You see the lion keeping the tiger down for awhile but it always got its teeth into the lions neck. And the lion looked as though it was just struggling to try and reverse it or get away.

It's a touchy subject...who would really win LION or TIGER. IMO I think it all depends on the on the idividual,which is more agressive at that moment.
Lions(males that is)have size on their side and are a bit stronger not much more but bit,but Tigers are more agile.
Lions are usually only agressive when they need to be, when Tigers are usually always agressive. Tigers have more hunting and combat experience wereas Lions rely on their size as an intimadtion factor... idk, close call

It's funny how they cut that part when the lion is beating the shit of the tiger, because in the hall clip the Lion is always standing and the Tiger is desperate like he doesn't know what to do in front of a Lion. The Lion instead takes his time to overwhelm the tiger, and once the tiger gets tired the Lion proceeds for a slide chance for that dangerous bite to the neck to take the tiger down. That's how it always is. Tigers are not good fighters like Lions period.

If that's true!! I like to see a video that depicts the tiger completely devastating the Lion, because in all clips I've seen, the tiger is only boxing quickly while THE LION is STILL standing. I think most of the Time a Lion is more intelligent, stronger as well as a better fighter. The role of a male lion is to protect the females and offspring. I think often times in these videos it obvious that the Lion is just swatting at the tiger like a house cat swats at flys. However that being said, A lion can't beat a tiger 100% of the time. Also many things have to be taken into account, such as age, weight, and if they are playing or actually fighting. Both are amazing animals.

When tigers leave their mother, they have to fight to get territory, especially males, who will be attacked almost on sight if another male catches him passing through his territory. Lions do as well, or a young male takes over their home pride, not traveling to find another. Both fight eachother and other animals pretty frequently. Both species have pretty much the same fighting skill.

Even due to their natural ecology they have adapted to fighting for domininance, such as the mane which provides protection to a big degree against neck bites, also giving it a more intimidating appearance. Lions face more competition, given the greater number of lions, as compared to tigers, per square kilometer. This is two male tigers, male and female tigers can be differintiated via size, these two are exactly equal - yes the size difference between female and male tigers can make a big difference. Whilst they bring a femle lioness and an old male - You can tell from the way his lower jaw hangs down (0:29). i wouldn't belive it if it showed the lions ''losing'' nor would i think its true if they won.
