any chance youll be making a actual SCUBA apperatus for this mod? Love the work youve done so far. But would really love to see something along the lines of an actual rebreather, O2 meter, etc..... It would really add more realism to this to see guys with actual rebreathers, flippers, etc....
@shabo857 The ADO mod already has two swimmers, one with flippers and scuba tanks, the other with a rebreather and stowed flippers tied to shins. I don't foresee myself modeling anything as it takes a huge amount of time and I don't have the tools or skills to venture into that area just yet. But check out the ADO mod made by a group of French developers. They have a lot of cool stuff to check out.
I have been watching this mod since you first started work on it and I would love to use this for my Metal Gear Campaign Project if you don't already know the start of MGS shows snake coming in from a sub and then swimming all the way into the docking area after leaving his SVD.Currently Im using the Arma1GNAT Dives tanks which allows only for a 9ft dive below surface and they can sometimes kill you on exiting if your not careful. I cant wait for this release you still adding the Kill anims?
@Eaglezero6205 I answered your PM. But just so others know, I'm not planning on any animations. I went down that path and it didn't yield that much fruit after a lot of labor and guessing. There are issues with the units performing new animations when they are already swimming. I can get them to switchMove, but can't get them to go back to swimming. I tried the halo front animation for diving, which looked ok, but couldn't get it to work well.
@st3v0011 Yeah, I have had computer problems for a while and kind of gave up on working on Arma2 since I had to reinstall it a few times and that got really old fast. Haha.
@jimba222 I have a pretty fast computer, but I'm hoping this won't require a fast computer to run. The diving and rising depends on your fps, it seems because when I'm recording with FRAPS and my fps drops down to the 20's, the diving and ascending takes much longer than it does without FRAPS running.
One of the features, the wavey vision effects, is a post process effect that requires you to run at least "low" post process effects.
