@mikeruns26 II spike the disc every once in a while. Usually if it was a huge play that really helped the team. Other times I will spike it is when I hate the player defending me or the team for whatever reason and our team needs a boost of energy. Sometimes getting pissed helps you and your team out. If you dont like someone spiking the disc dont let them get the disc. When someone else spikes it I get pissed at them not because of the spike but because I let him get the disc. So i agree.

The guy at 3:03 shouldn't have been kicked out. The defender clotheslined him. The defender should have been thrown out for a dangerous play. I would have been pissed and probably talked tons of shit.
@illegitimate0 I agree that it was a dangerous, dumb move by his defender, but ultimate needs to be non-confrontational. I can understand being upset, but you have to keep a cool head and take the high road. Spiking the disc HARD and BLATANTLY on the defender is not doing that. Whether that warranted a tournament expulsion is debatable, but that attitude should be nowhere near this sport.
I've replaced both ACL's. Right one in may 2002 and the left one in Oct 2008. I played Paganello in April 2009 and a couple of grass and indoor tournaments last year as well, waiting to go to Paganello this year for the 20th anniversary.
@DrThunder2021 i dunno about ACL replacement, but i sprained mine pretty badly earlier this year and they wouldn't let me play for about three months, and even now i need to wear a custom brace. i have a friend who tore his twice, and didn't get it fixed the second time, and now he plays soccer without an ACL, so i'm sure ultimate is possible.
@DrThunder2021 I had my surgery in September. I'm just getting back into my conditioning for club season. It is very possible, just take your rehab seriously and don't play till the doctor clears you!

Not a strip. He never had control of the disc, therefore it's free game. It's as it he was bobbling the disc... you can still mack the disc if somebody's bobbling it without a strip (foul) called.
i have watched this a few times, and I am always bothered by the catch at 1:20. Disc never touches the ground, it has stopped possession on red's back. Doesnt that mean that black strips it by picking it up off his back?
Naw thats not JV spiking the disc. I don't remember his name name but hes way short and intense and plays for JB. On the spirit issue, all these teams get together after for beers and whatnot, but during the game if you play some spirit ultimate in at club nationals? your gonna lose.

Thats the whole point of the way ultimate works, making sure it's unpossible to have discussions. You can call your own fouls as well as somebody else's fouls, if you don't agree, you can contest, don't discuss it! foul? no you don't agree? Ok back to thrower, and thats how it should be. Naw thats not JV spiking the disc. I don't remember his name name but hes way short and intense and plays for JB. On the spirit issue, all these teams get together after for beers and whatnot, but during the game if you play some spirit ultimate in at club nationals? your gonna lose.

i wonder where the fair play is at 3:03? throwing a disc in someones face in not that spirited. just like the fact that there are referees on the pitch.

i'm pretty sure that the guy who spiked the disc on the other player at 3:03 was expelled from the game after that. as for the observers, I'm torn about them, but I do know that I hate games that get time capped and observers do some good to help work through disagreements a lot quicker than some disputes that I've waited through on the field

Thats the whole point of the way ultimate works, making sure it's unpossible to have discussions. You can call your own fouls as well as somebody else's fouls, if you don't agree, you can contest, don't discuss it! foul? no you don't agree? Ok back to thrower, and thats how it should be. Not with an observer who says what you should do. Btw whats up with the footballike slamming the disc against the ground? Ok, good that your happy but thats just beeing agressive and having an attitude problem
