I did not dislike the people that wore (spelling?) them... I disliked the item itself, much like you can dislike a type of clothing, a music or a picture because you dont like its looks or feel. It was annoying how everybody started loving them without any reason. If it just comfortable, fine, I am still granted my oppinion of their looks. But if you love them, then I ask you why. We are both granted our opinion, I just couldn't understand why they were so popular.

I hate Crocs, but I'm not an extreme hater. If I see people wearing 'em, I don't say anything. When they ask me if I like them, I just reply with the always simple yet direct "No." Now, the converstaion doesn't heat up until they ask why I hate them. It is then when I express my feeling towards Crocs and why I think they are one of the worst shoes I've ever seen (all in a polite manner, mind you). They get defensive, but we let it slide because we know everyone's entitled to their own opinions.

i, for one, am thankful for crocs.

i had to have surgery on my feet because i had an enlarged navicular bone in both feet. i also had wide feet and the combination of both of these issues made it almost impossible to wear shoes. the only shoe i could wear were my crocs. yeah, i didnt like them but i slowly grew attached to them. i had to wear crocs for all of 6th grade. if it werent for crocs, i would have been wearing paper bags to school.

Besides that I think they are ugly ( I know that is my opinion) People forget that all kind of shoes have different purposes. Flip-flop are for on the beach (and only there please, unless you live in a tropical Asian or African country) Sandals are used in summer, rain boots, during rain, snow boots in the snow, tap shoes for tapdancing .

I've seen campers with them walking in shallow water, and it's a way of abiding to "no shoes in pool or pool deck" laws if your place has them....so as you didn't wear them around the street.

They have holes in them. If you want your feet to get air, the holes in Crocs aren't going to help as much as regular sandals are. They are still going to make your feet feel hot and gross. Water can get in them at any time and stay in there and slosh around all day.

They aren't really helpful for water shoes, either. I tried that. Didn't turn out well like I thought it would. :\
