Hi Karin, Thanks so much for sharing these sweet slices of bhakti fest- I was there too and it was such a beautiful inspiring gathering!
In case any kirtan lovers are wondering, the wild Om Namah Shivaya kirtan you hear at the beginning & end of the video with all the people dancing is Sean Johnson & The Wild Lotus Band from New Orleans. You can't see them on the video. They are one of my favorites! If you like what you hear, check out their new album Devaloka- it's amaaaazing! CU next year!
Do you think you could post the kirtan that was on the ground, wich you cut into segmants; could you post the full kirtan seperatly. i would luv it soo much if you did! thank you
I see my friend & infamous author of "The Road to Java," Olivia De Haulville at about 4:20 (heh-heh!). Also, this video reminds me of the term i came up with over the weekend: "Spontaneous Kirtan Combustion" exploding all over the Sacred Vortex of Mental-physics (on "9/11" non-the-less!)
Just saw Sean and the gang in Asheville last week they were amazing, so much bliss, wish I could go this year to Bhaktifest.

I love it, but it seems so awkward.
