sorry, but he doesn't seem autistic to me at all....as a parent of a severely autistic child, I cannot even compare the difficulties that my son faces in comparison to this very verbal, social young man. When the media portrays autism by highlighting aspergers or high functioning people, it leads the public to ask, "what's so bad about autism, anyway'?...this will reduce funding for much needed research for the type of autism that IS truly incapacitating

I went through the whole movie and I could find autism only in words and subtitles. I do not see any indication that the boy suffers from autism. But, I find a lot of indications that the commenters to this video suffer from autism, incapable to understand the boy. No tears from my eyes. The film is good for showing interracial unity and good actors.

I like how this movie shows - pretty clearly - how an autistic child or person is or can be. I've always found it pretty hard to understand this whole autistic thing. I have known several people who were autistic, but their behaviour was quite different. But verbally they've been the same. It's like they're really busy in their heads or something.
