check any radiohead concert in this days everyone is just standing there playing with they're phones, and it's in general for the most of the bands now
the gig culture is very lost this days i mean i've seen gigs when everyone just stands and pseudo-nod theyre heads to my iron lung
@JuiCeBoX19 really? are you that deaf? dont get me wrong.. im a fan but lets face it.. most of it was touched up with a computer. when you have twice as many members in your band as anyone else you tend to produce a ton of white noise, and they have no choice but to doctor it up for your pallet
@drausrrr at first I wanna say that a dispute over radiohead between radiohead fans is not what I'm looking for, I tink you'll agree on that one.
so let's compare in rainbows, their latest and PH their first.
At a lot of songs on pablo honey were recorded with more than four guitars. They got mixed as one wall of sound which wasn't that commom in the 90's... compare sebadoh or sth.
So, I think the production value on in rainbows is not that big, think of house of cards or something.
@JuiCeBoX19 if you wanna hear a great band that actually records what they play check out Mazzy Star.. or going back even further try Shriekback.. there music sounds so full because they are very dedicated musicians that only record live
@drausrrr So my point is that compared to other modern indie/alternative bands, radiohead is not that overproducing compared to others.
Last thought: When the technique is there, why not use it?
In the early nineties, lo-fi etc. was big. I really really like bands from those days, I like Dinosaur Jr. and every band related to there popularity and genre. But let's face it: Why not use todays technique, when it'S there...
Just don't dispute over RH. I'm sure you'll post your response anyhow dude
pablo honey is underrated because its compared to the bends too much, i rekon its a great album and this song along with you, and blow out are among the best .
As expected by radiohead their live performance matches, if not exceeds, their studio version. Totally sucks that they dont show jonny though, particularly during his awesome solo.
I love this times too, but maybe I preffer the last ones. If you see those fans, they're just jumping & shouting, but there's no feeling at all...:S When they came to Mexico, the majority was crying in the whole show XD
the camera man sure loves that chick with the big bouncing tits
