There is a huge difference in Medical usage and the current proposal in Madison that nearly legalizes smoking pot for anyone who can get a doctor to write phony prescription. The scope of the legislation is the real issue here not the effectiveness of smoking versus not smoking pot.

Whom would you have give the recommendation? Santa Clause? Vukmir? For medical use, shouldn't it be given by a Doctor? The scope of the bill (best state bill so far), requires a Doctor to discern if cannabis is the best option. Doctors should have the liberty of recommending what is best for patients, not government -one size fits all- regulation for everyone. Judgment on a case by case basis by a qualified physician (not a legislator) is the best way to administer therapeutic cannabis.
