  • who is the brown hair frizzy tall hair silent comedian? I met him on the metro once and he was silent and refused to speak on the metro and I thought it was soooo funny!

  • he's got some clever material but I'm not sure if people would really laugh this much at it if it...

  • this is from a sitcom pilot so people are laughing artificially, right?

  • pretty funny but almost ALWAYS shouts on the punch line

  • 4:58 sooo great

  • Does he pay the crowd to laugh? whats up with that?

  • Skip to 1:3o for actual stand up and avoid long ass intro. Great stand up though!

  • what is the song at the start of the video? thanks

  • @cpringipas 2001: A Space Oddessy theme tune

  • George Costanza is what Larry David in real life would like to have been like in certain situations, but didn't have the balls. Likewise Larry David in "Curb" is George Constanza times 15. Which is Larry David, which is, well yeah, you get it. I mean whatever, you know.

  • LD u must do standup - if u hate your audience just film it in your bedroom

  • Hahaha I think the single man in communist China DEF has more freedom

  • is larry a jew?

  • I like Larry.

  • Fair enough, to each our own

  • I HATE seinfeld, but i LOVE CURB!!!

  • hey 1:30 -- 4:24

  • larry david is the ultimate example of a billionaire who could easily be mistaken for an everyday schmo or bum! Comedy genius tho

  • Vere is se rabbit!!!!!

  • This is one of the rare times Thus Spoke Zarathustra (I probably butchered the name) has not been used distastefully after 2001.

And hey, at least it's not Wagner.

  • this guy has definetly done LSD atleast once.... by the way isnt his middle name like staurt or something?

  • I thought it was funny, he just needs someone to banter with. That answering machine bit was funny, and Larry's humor isn't meant for night clubs, he just makes you think of ridiculous scenarios, like a magician having to act like a magician toward Hitler. That's funny, just think about it!

  • The emperor has no clothes.

  • Okay. I read a few comments about this turd. People saying he was funny. I have now watched almost a dozen videos of this guy and he is never ever funny! I think the audience is just laughing out of courtesy.

  • Very disappointing, was expecting better being a big fan of his show CYE.

  • Fuckin Intro Man!! brilliant

  • he is a better comedian than jerry in my opinion.

  • the hitler bit was fucking awesome.

  • this fucking sucks honestly just fucking terrible shortchange crap fail idiot dick face shit

  • Yes L.D. is a genius, probably had more to do with Seinfeld's success than jerry himself, but lets not forget L.D. quit writing for the show after season 6 of seinfeld. Jerry did most of the writing for the final seasons, and I think he did a great job.

  • 9 people like Carlos Mencia : (

  • 9 people like Carlos Mencia :( - written by Carlos Mencia

  • haha that posse stuff at the end was great

  • lol wow he sounds more like jerry than jerry does, and his mannerisms too! uncanny!

  • come on guys seinfeld was still great after larry, yada yada and serenity now are my favotites episode.

  • Brillant material...fucking genius!!

  • ya thats what i always thought.....he was a mixture of jerry and george

  • AWESOME!!!

  • very intresting u see the same jokes in curb as u do sienfeld i like it though i do enjoy larry's stand up as well and the movie whatever works he is brilliant at everything he does

  • larry

  • Jerry's standup bits at the beginnings are pretty bad actually. My fav. character was George.

  • i really didnt need this ridiculous opening...

  • what is jeff garlin writing down in the crowd?

  • I think you meant george's persona. George is Larry, which is pretty blatantly shown on the season 7 final episodes of the seinfeld reunion. F*ck I love david.

  • pretty good. pret-ty pret-ty good

  • There's a reason why Seinfelds career fizzled out and Larry David went on to have another successful TV show.....

  • @rinosaur7 Yeah, and the reason is that L.D. is a brilliant writer/screenwriter, while Seinfeld is a stand-up comedian.

  • @Werebull interesting to see that Sienfelds persona was really larry's persona.

  • @newton2013 Larry's persona is more of a mixture of some of Jerry's persona & George Costanza.

  • @Werebull george costanza's character is based off of larry davids real life

  • @Werebull this is 100 percent correct.

  • @Werebull Larry is a real person. Jerry and George's personas have many aspects of Larry's personality, especially George's.

  • @Werebull No, on the outside he's like Jerry, but on the inside he's just like/wants to be George:)

  • @newton2013

George Costanza is Larry David, Jerry is Jerry, they are best friends in real life thats why Jerry and George are best friends. Majority of the stories happen to Larry. But Jerry is Jerry no one else, his comedy his jokes his voice.

  • @newton2013 Jerry is Jerry , George is Larry.

  • @Werebull stop insulting stand ups

  • Seinfeld's career didn't fizzle, he started a family and had a kid so he had to take time off. Maybe one should know the situation and be up to date on it before making comments on it eh buddy

  • @rinosaur7 Jerry didn't want another career in TV and Larry did?

  • @rinosaur7 Why do you have to hate on Seinfeld? They're both genius, and as good as Curb Your Enthusiasm is, it's a great treat but it's content is basically Seinfeld all over again anyway

  • @thedexterbros its cause seinfeld is a corny fukin sitcom...laugh tracks are fuckin corny bud, noone wants to be "told" when to laugh

  • @emptyehole21 That response doesn't explain anything, David also ran Seinfeld and most of the concepts and themes in Seinfeld are the same as the concepts and themes in "Curb" and both shows are great, 12-21 million people a year for seven seasons straight didn't find the laugh track on Seinfeld to be too oppressive

  • @emptyehole21 Besides those laughs are from a live studio audience, not a computer, so basically were just hearing the people who saw the show live, like a video of a play

  • @thedexterbros Right on. Personally, I just find it REALLY annoying! I like Larry David, his show "curb your enthusiasm" i think is so MUCH better than sitcom. Hes more free to do what he wants. And no "audience laughs"

  • @rinosaur7 Fizzled out? Are you kidding?

  • @rinosaur7 it hasnt "fizzled out" he done alot of world wide succes tours plus bee movie the one film he made was also a hit, he prob just likes the sparetime

  • @rinosaur7 Yeah, Seinfeld's career really fizzled. He plays any venue he wants, from Vegas to Atlantic City. David is a writer, Seinfeld is a stand-up comic. Dumbass.

  • jeff green,,his manager at 2:43 taking notes

  • There's a reason he got payed almost 2 billion dollars to write and create seinfeld: He's one of the best comic writers of our life time and in my opinion he's definitely #1.

  • @BoyBrainiac He got paid a lot of jack but it was no where near 2 billion dollars. WHere the fuck did you hear that?

  • @ITHEREONETHATHASNT It's on his wiki article and I'm pretty sure it's linked to a source.

  • @BoyBrainiac HA! 2 billion thats ridiculous he made about $22 million

  • @elitewarrior11 he gets paid every time an episode is aired also

  • @elitewarrior11

Syndication of Seinfeld payments will continue to Larry David until 1.7 billion dollars as been reached. Guessing he has already been paid at least a half billion. 250 million he got in 1998 alone.

  • very great.. i wish i could shoot my pilot

  • hes not THAT good, but hes ok

  • titaniumslug is an idiot. everyone else gets his jokes dumbass

  • He has the potential to be a great standup comic. But in this some of the topics are just too particular. I'm pretty smart but i have simply never heard of "the two-form". (even googling i cant find it). or the guy who discovered the cure for polio. He assumes to much knowledge on the part of the audience. Maybe if he introduced the topics with a little explanation he could be a great stand up. Not that he needs to. I guess making a genius show is good enough.

  • ha ha ha, titaniumslug you should change your name to "thickasabrickslug"

  • @mrAudioguy wow that insult is George Costanza worthy. Which would be pretty apt were it intentional. Watch "jerkstore" and "Seinfeld: The Comeback Deleted Scene" to understand. And by the way I had sex with your wife.

  • @titaniumslug It's the "tu-form" as in the spanish speaking. like para tu. You are pretty smart!

  • @sdavis54. Trust youtube to dredge up some sarky cunt. I can assure you there certainly WONT be any sarcasm or irony in my response. I fully accept that it is through no fault other than my extremely low intellect that i should have never happened to hear the phrase "the tu-form" in my life. I can only wish i was smart enough to leave trolling comments using the same youtube account that i use to post EXCELLENT stand-up routines like you have. (yes thats right people check out sdavis54s act)

  • @sdavis54 continued: You should do the tu-form bit at your gig at the bar. I am sure everyone will understand it. It could even kill as well as your 'packers lose' bit. Oh. And you should definitely keep the MOHAWK. It makes you look really cool.

  • @sdavis54 debías escribir para tí mi amigo, pero gracias para jugar.

  • @sdavis54 debías escribir para tí mi amigo, pero gracias para jugar.

  • it's "tu" as in the french for you in the familiar (as opposed to "vous" for the polite second person)

  • thanks

  • @titaniumslug holy shit. you're right! people being intelligent annoys me! because i'm not! i only want to hear about what i know!

  • There's a difference between intelligence and knowledge. I said He assumes to much KNOWLEDGE on the part of the audience not intelligence. Maybe grammar of latin based languages is common knowledge were you live or for your age group. It certainly isn't in mine. I never said he should start doing fart jokes. I just said introduce the topics with a preamble. Its unintelligent to assume someone has all the knowledge you do. And its even more so to assume that because they don't that they are dumb

  • you're an idiot

  • @titaniumslug It's the "tu form" as in French. Tu is friendly, vous is polite. That's what he was going for. It's not his fault you don't get it.

  • Yeah thanks I know I've been told 3 times already. I just thought id add some discussion about stand up comedy instead of just nauseating Larry David ass licking. I didn't expect every person who knows french to be a pompous douchebag about it.

  • titaniumslug: you either think you're too intelligent for him or too stupid for him. either ways you're the idiot. but i understand- often people who think they're really intelligent and funny but are anything but that (which they live in constant denial of) build up defense mechanisms which involve the constant denial of anyone else being funny.

  • He's the best of the best of the best

  • Larry David is the undisputed funniest man alive!!

  • Larry Legend !!! My Hero !

  • Keorz...Oh you Poor bastard...(shakes head) ;^)

  • what penis?

  • Anybody else care to key on his last two statements? I'm not getting through this guy.

  • i love larry david and seinfeld humour... but that just wasnt very funny. 6/10

  • Your statement completely contradicts itself

  • lol VERES ZE VABBIT?!

  • Shut the fuck up dude, shit

  • so he's not the greatest stand up comedian, his comedy is a required taste. So what , he's one of the greatest comedic minds of our time the fact that he created sienfeld says enough.. a funny show that almost anyone can relate to. cant wait for season 7 of curb

  • word

  • I completely agree.

  • i love larry david

  • Larry David wrote jerry's standup material in the first 3 seasons because they agreed that larry's material and jerry's voice worked well together

  • he said he got lucky with Jerry because Jerry was already going to do something with NBC. So he skipped all the steps and went with him on the show. The show was 90% LD and 10% Jerry

  • More like 95% LD and 5% Seinfeld, fuck knuckle.

  • I'd say 70 / 30

  • Larry left the show after the 7th season

  • the more i watch Curb the more i see the similarities between seinfeld and curb and realise that larry david was in fact the genius behind seinfeld too. I'm losing respect for jerry.

  • Everyone should know that LD was the one responsible for the genius and inovation which stood behind "Seinfeld", but that doesn't mean Jerry didn't do his part and shouldn't be appreciated; he was an integral part of the project and I don't think it would've been as good with anyone else in his shoes.

  • @thegov08

I love larry more now after watching Curb, but i can't help but realize how alike him and Jerry are. It's like they met each other and thought "Ok we have to make a tv show."

  • @thegov08

Larry was a writer, Jerry just told the jokes, his voice is the only voice that can do those kinna jokes

  • Larry David is a great writer, but a terrible performer. i want to laugh but i just dont, i want to watch curb your enthusiasm but its just not funny ugh...i guess sometimes you can have it but dont have it

  • you are wrong.

  • i feel bad for you. i think he's a great performer.

  • Lary David may not be the best stand up comedian but he can write the best shows .

  • But even as a stand-up comedian he has a certain charm and appeal, I think. He is "real", congruent with his nature/persona/inner self, he doesn't try too hard or put up an act. I, for one, find his energy and quirckiness to be the funny elements, rather than the material.

  • I only laughed once.

  • This Man SLAYS Me!

  • Bet he wasn't the first. oohh! ZIng.

  • oh really...a fuckin ric flair introduction...that LD...

  • great compilation

  • LD does bad comedy brilliantly.

  • Huge Jerry fan.. but most dont realize David was most of the genius behind seinfeld scripts.

  • We really need to bring back Jonas Salk jokes!
