who is the brown hair frizzy tall hair silent comedian? I met him on the metro once and he was silent and refused to speak on the metro and I thought it was soooo funny!
George Costanza is what Larry David in real life would like to have been like in certain situations, but didn't have the balls. Likewise Larry David in "Curb" is George Constanza times 15. Which is Larry David, which is, well yeah, you get it. I mean whatever, you know.
I thought it was funny, he just needs someone to banter with. That answering machine bit was funny, and Larry's humor isn't meant for night clubs, he just makes you think of ridiculous scenarios, like a magician having to act like a magician toward Hitler. That's funny, just think about it!
Okay. I read a few comments about this turd. People saying he was funny. I have now watched almost a dozen videos of this guy and he is never ever funny! I think the audience is just laughing out of courtesy.
Yes L.D. is a genius, probably had more to do with Seinfeld's success than jerry himself, but lets not forget L.D. quit writing for the show after season 6 of seinfeld. Jerry did most of the writing for the final seasons, and I think he did a great job.
very intresting u see the same jokes in curb as u do sienfeld i like it though i do enjoy larry's stand up as well and the movie whatever works he is brilliant at everything he does
I think you meant george's persona. George is Larry, which is pretty blatantly shown on the season 7 final episodes of the seinfeld reunion. F*ck I love david.
George Costanza is Larry David, Jerry is Jerry, they are best friends in real life thats why Jerry and George are best friends. Majority of the stories happen to Larry. But Jerry is Jerry no one else, his comedy his jokes his voice.
Seinfeld's career didn't fizzle, he started a family and had a kid so he had to take time off. Maybe one should know the situation and be up to date on it before making comments on it eh buddy
@rinosaur7 Why do you have to hate on Seinfeld? They're both genius, and as good as Curb Your Enthusiasm is, it's a great treat but it's content is basically Seinfeld all over again anyway
@emptyehole21 That response doesn't explain anything, David also ran Seinfeld and most of the concepts and themes in Seinfeld are the same as the concepts and themes in "Curb" and both shows are great, 12-21 million people a year for seven seasons straight didn't find the laugh track on Seinfeld to be too oppressive
@emptyehole21 Besides those laughs are from a live studio audience, not a computer, so basically were just hearing the people who saw the show live, like a video of a play
@thedexterbros Right on. Personally, I just find it REALLY annoying! I like Larry David, his show "curb your enthusiasm" i think is so MUCH better than sitcom. Hes more free to do what he wants. And no "audience laughs"
@rinosaur7 it hasnt "fizzled out" he done alot of world wide succes tours plus bee movie the one film he made was also a hit, he prob just likes the sparetime
@rinosaur7 Yeah, Seinfeld's career really fizzled. He plays any venue he wants, from Vegas to Atlantic City. David is a writer, Seinfeld is a stand-up comic. Dumbass.
There's a reason he got payed almost 2 billion dollars to write and create seinfeld: He's one of the best comic writers of our life time and in my opinion he's definitely #1.
Syndication of Seinfeld payments will continue to Larry David until 1.7 billion dollars as been reached. Guessing he has already been paid at least a half billion. 250 million he got in 1998 alone.
@misterclownface Its amazing how this industry makes money out of thin air...
Charlie Sheen was right when he said "hey, I already have your money". I hate this feeling when watching TV, Im making money to these assholes with my lazyness.
He has the potential to be a great standup comic. But in this some of the topics are just too particular. I'm pretty smart but i have simply never heard of "the two-form". (even googling i cant find it). or the guy who discovered the cure for polio. He assumes to much knowledge on the part of the audience. Maybe if he introduced the topics with a little explanation he could be a great stand up. Not that he needs to. I guess making a genius show is good enough.
@mrAudioguy wow that insult is George Costanza worthy. Which would be pretty apt were it intentional. Watch "jerkstore" and "Seinfeld: The Comeback Deleted Scene" to understand. And by the way I had sex with your wife.
@sdavis54. Trust youtube to dredge up some sarky cunt. I can assure you there certainly WONT be any sarcasm or irony in my response.
