  • My 5 yr old got an iPod for his bday and this is the ONLY song he wants on it. Lol...we took him to see Bob 2 weeks ago...I told him who we were going to see and he said, "the one who looks like God?" Hahaha....

  • @wildflowerink Your 5 year old got an iPod for his birthday?

  • @Chantalallen Actually he is my bf's son and my bf got him one because he was always borrowing his older brothers wanting to play games etc. Do you think it is excessive? I kinda thought so.

  • This is just simply a great song, great lyrics.. thank you for the great songwriting in this song..the words hit home.. thanks!

  • Man theres more than just 40 dogs going on here:}dude can sing:}

  • check out bob's song "ghosts" on my channel ( its the only version on youtube)

  • why 40 dogs?

Also, the first time I thought he sang "we're like good terrorists--haven't happened yet, but will" at 0:58

  • In the immortal words of my friends Summer and Melissa on this topic: "Bob encompasses all."

  • I miss my FAYM hoodie!! Hope whoever has it is enjoying it! ...you remind me of a moonbeam... or the ghost of a moonbeam down on the beach down by the coast slippin' through the night like the most beautiful thing I've ever seen...

  • Seriously?! This song has no more views or views than this? I am dumbfounded? Where the hell is the world?

  • He's like Ed Hardcourt's doppelganger when they're both with beard, seriously

  • Great song... I can see this being one of those timeless tunes that is always relevent!

  • love love love

  • I lurve seeing Missy Tiffy get her groove on. Makes me happy every time! What a fun nite!

  • I don't remember getting this song, but it's downloading in my itunes account right now. Never heard of it before that.

    Nice... thanks.

  • a really good friend of mine told me this was one of the artists she liked, i was thinking,"how could it be as good as rock artists such as green day?" i am happily wrong

  • My dog loves this song! lol

  • This song reminds me of my Physics class. My teacher would always play this song. Ah Good times :)

  • I still <3 this.

  • Great song by one of the most talented songwriters ever....

  • I've had this song stuck in my head for 4 days now... and it doesn't even bug me :-) First thing I hear in the morning. I LOVE BS... never miss a show when he comes to Portland.

  • I don't know how many hits he's gotten from me alone. I need this music right now. BAD TIMES!

  • @asoundguy by gay you mean the happiest fucking song youve heard in your life right :D

  • @asoundguy sorry maybe if you took one of the 3 penis' out of your mouth people could understand what you're trying to say

  • Just saw Bob Live at the Rathskeller in Indianapolis. Amazing show and this song really is beautiful. I am a life long fan now! XOXO

  • Song reminds me of my life with my fiance. She is the most wonderful and patient woman I've ever known. To face our problems and have the courage to tread forward knowing that failure is at our faces. Her encouragement and support will outlast the hardships we currently face and find that little light at the end of the tunnel.

  • 2:14 Check out Ollie getting down!!

  • "You're the color of a sideways look from an undercover cop in a comic book"...

"You're the color of the colored part of The Wizard of Oz movie"

It's lyrics like this, that are simultaneously playful and vividly descriptive, that set Bob Schneider apart as a lyricist.

To make a broader point: God bless musicians who don't take themselves too seriously. I'm talking to you Emo artists.

  • Gots too love real music! Awesome.

  • How did this song NOT become an even bigger hit than it was? Oh, wait,i know,It doesn't have a Jonas involved or blonde lead, or a fancy name in the band name..oh no..heaven forbid a true song, with true lyrics and a true songwriter have a hit song along side all the corparate and comercial crap of the day. I mean seriously, the lyrics of this song are amazing. If you can't tap your toe or sing the chorus to this song, you dont have a pulse. In my opinion, one of the best songs in the last 5 yrs

  • @Stooty68 This tune has HIT, HIT, HIT written all over it. If anyone believes that the best songs are played on the radio, they are sadly mistaken. I think it has exposed more people to Bob (I'm including myself in this too) and that's an awesome thing. I would have listened to the guy YEARS ago had I even heard one song from him but I'm just thankful I've finally found him and his music.

  • @MassTwingles I agree masstwingles. I first heard this song on a late night underground college type station in the North East; and sometimes you just "know" when you hear a song, thats it's good, real good. But since then, i haven't heard it once played anywhere. Some of the best songs/artists NEVER get played on any radio stations, anywhere. I've started to listening to a radio show called E-Town. You should try to find it in your area. It highlights groups and artists you never hear.

  • @Stooty68 Bob's been on E-town, you should check it out. He's playing in Boston in a couple of weeks and I'm sooo excited! His live performances are some of the best out there and his frunk recordings are must-haves. :-D

  • @MassTwingles Hey MassTwingles, are you coming to see Bob? Do you know where in Boston? I live about 30 miles north of Boston. And where are you?..if thats ok to ask...

  • @Stooty68 He's playing Harper's Ferry on Sept. 18th. I saw him there last April. It's an ok venue (typical club/bar) in the student ghetto of Allston. I will be there and possibly heading up to Portland, ME to see him the night before. Got to get my Bob fix while I can! I live in MetroWest btw.

  • @MassTwingles Oh good!! Goin to both shows! Thats awesome! I hope it goes well! I'm sure both shows will be great as the usually are! Be sure to let me know how the first show is as i will probably only be going to the second show. By the way, do you know the name of the acordian player?

  • @Stooty68 Oliver Steck...saw him dressed up in a bunny suit with a Gilbey's vodka box over his head the first time I saw Bob and his band play live. He's definitely the comic sidekick to Bob's straight man. Very talented man: plays piano, trumpet, and accordion. Spread the word about Bob and bring a couple of newbies to the show in Boston...I can almost promise you it won't be the last time you and your friends see him perform live. :-D

  • @MassTwingles Hey you! This is kinda fun! Finally finding someone with simaler tastes in music! I sure will try to bring some newbies!. But im usually on an island when it comes to music selections among my friends, so id most likey be going alone. How do we correspond with each other, other than on youtube?..Just askin...no pressure if thats not cool...

  • Just got to love it.

11 people missed the like button btw. retards

  • heard this one for the first time a few days ago and love the lyrics...fitting right in my life as we speak...love you sir james!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • классное видео

  • Love this...can't get Enough. Ever!

  • Do they play this song outside of Austin?

  • @angelshalo It got lots of radio play in Portland, ME, where I heard it.

  • I caught Bob in Dallas just after the release of Lonelyland (2000-2001). Great collection of music and great show opening for Train. Happy to see him finally getting the recognition he so richly deserves. He's a very gifted performer.

  • Like the couple of other folks who commented, this is my first time with Bob but I am hooked. The best thing of all is that I find out he is in Austin. Go Bob will be seeing more of you I am sure.

  • I heard it at Hollister s also...

  • Go check out all of his older stuff as well. Lonelyland & I'm Good Now are 2 amazing albums. Yet another great Austin artist. . .

  • heard it at hollister? man i hope not, bob is one of my favorite artists and i'm happy he's gaining popularity, but i hope hes not selling out to places like hollister, whatever, glad you guys found him!

  • @theswim90 I hate it when success is labelled 'selling out'

  • @theswim90 Who cares where they heard it as long as they DID hear it. Plus, I don't care if he sells out since he's an independent artist it just means more scratch in his pocket and I'm all for that. Rock on, Bob!

  • Interesting to know what this song is about. Check out bobschneidermusic(dot)com. He streams his album and comments on each song. #5 explains this song. AWESOME ARTIST....FROM TEXAS!
