@JayT851 well, we have to accept that metal subgenres are a fact of life. Iron Maiden and Deicide sound nothing alike, but both are still metal. So we have to find a way of classifying them. But some people do take it ridiculously seriously, but Nevermore are hard to place. I think if one subgenre is needed then Progressive Metal is as good an idea as any.
