@dreamofgenie55 I'm sorry,but,Oak Alley plantation was not in the film "Gone With The Wind." All of the scenes were filmed by props.Tara was built on the backlot of MGM.

Plantations have so much history.. it's incredible that some are still standing.
I couldn't help but think that the first plantation shown reminded me very much of Twelve Oaks in Gone With the Wind.
