good video im doing this already and its kinna pain full i dont do it for a living but i do it on my horses tex and missy and some of my cuzins unbrokes
@jaketheman123456789 horse ridin aint stupid i ride horses and i also ride bareback broncs!!!!! but i guess thats a city boys oppinion no argument there but IT AINT STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bronc riding is more likely for wild west shows, I would agree, and so should you?
Rodeo's three real main events are Brahman bull riding, calf roping, and steer wrestling, and all the cowboys and cowgirls compete in tie-down roping and Brahman bull riding and the cowboys also can compete in steer wrestling, as well, too!
@frankieblue89 Many broncs enjoy their job, half the ones I've seen at rodeos will run thru the chutes just a prancin until that riders' on then its all game
"My first colt that I was supposed to ride got a little too excited in the chute and flipped over, so we had to turn him loose to keep him from hurting himself." Another horsie that was bred to do his job? Maybe if you stopped landing on your head, you'd understand compassion. Grow up, child.
@AnimalLeftist Yes, that horse was bred to buck. However, horses are skiddish animals. So yeah, they'll get excited and they'll jump around in the chute a bit. All young horses will act a bit skiddish, whether they're bucking horses or not.
@AnimalLeftist Wrong. Saddle bronc riding evolved out of breaking horses in the hard way. Now they are just trained to buck and you have to spur the horse and make it look cool. They're not going to be broken in, and the horses aren't in pain or anything while they are bucking saddle bronc or bareback riders off.
@AnimalLeftist Actually, we can all ride horses. We can ride them as bucking horses with rodeo styles, and we can ride them normally as well. Do you know anything about horsemanship?
btw bucking broncos have feelings because when the people fall off u always see the horses look to see where they have fallen. and they do step on them, i guarantee that it was a accident.
@AnimalLeftist, Your fucking dumb cunt! Sounds like you have no life but try to start some drama. Grow up and don't worry about me and my horses or life! Kk thanks. Have such a great rest of the day! :-)
@howlingwalnut I say Broncs but it all depends on how tough the bronc is or how tough the bulls are. Bulls spin and jump but a bronc bucks harder and jumps higher.
What ever happened to rank eliminators like this pen. The last couple years there haven't been any horses like the bareback at :144 that just rip your hand right out of your riggin. And saddlebroncs who were so strong if you were a finger or two short they tore you off, and that the riders wouldn't rake them, because they knew if you made one little mistake you were on the ground.
Now I gotta love the rodeo abuse when they actually are less "abused" than saddlehorses. BOTH get mounted and forced to do their jobs. Rodeo-Halter, Saddle-Bit in Mouth, say what you want but a bit puts pressure on its mouth and causes it to stop. Most Rodeo horses have 200 outs in their life @ 8 seconds. thats 26 minutes. Now you take a saddlehorse. well atleast mine lifetimes are roughly rode atleast 15 hours, 10 times a month, for 14 years. that adds up to 25,200 HOURS.
see I may be biased to rodeo, due to the fact that my dad, cousin, and 3 neighbors raised bucking horses through the years. Now a horse works 8 seconds trying to buck a rider off, yes they buck harder with a flank strap, this is to enhance the kicking motion no other reason. take the flank off they buck but don't kick. If they were in pain due to the strap they would be kicking at their belly. Yes accidents to the animals unfortunately happen, but its no different than football. accidents happen
rodeo is the first american sport and is the most popular and most attended sport in the world. every stock contractor i know does not abuse or mistreat their bucking stock. ever seen a horse or bull at a rodeo that was nothing but skin and bones? if you have anything negative to say about rodeo please do me and all of the real americans a favor, go fuck a tree or a sheep!
@TheSoutherncracker rodeo isn't a sport.. the animals aren't willing participants.. and the stock contractors send their animals to rodeo.. that in it's self is abuse!.. an animal doesn't have to be skin and bones to be abused.. a healthy animal would react in much the same way as a skinny one when the flank strap is tightened or an electric prod is applied..
@rockhoppin Rodeo and Golf are the only two athletic sports that I can think of that can be classified as a sport. NFL, NBA and all of the other professional team sports out there are to me adult day care because all of those team sports players make millions of dollars for just being on a team, rodeo cowboys and golfers have the same thing in common, they have to win to earn money! All of my bucking stock know what their job is in the arena and are dosile out of it. Fuck P.E.T.A. and you
@cowgirlup397 Yes I know, sorry, he pissed me off. Hm, I think rodeos are terribly, the things that are supposed to be "fun" is when animals or humans are hurt, or when bulls/horses are very scared. I don't find that funny or entertaining in any way
@sigridandbilly Nobody finds the animals falling or slipping or cowboys/ cowgirls funny or entertaining. The entertainment and fun come from the thrill of seeing a good ride, and watching the riders and animals challenge themselves.
@Alexandros1294 Yes, I can see by the whites in their eyes that they really "love" their job. And if they "love" it, WHY does they have a flank strap? To make them buck. It's not the rider who scares them
@sigridandbilly They have a flank strap to enhance the motion of the buck. They're going to buck anyway without it, the flank strap it just put on snug on their flank to keep the motion straighter and higher. The flank strap isn't put on very tight, because if you get it too tight, they don't move. It's also made to loosen as they buck.
@TheSoutherncracker sports are destroyed by money.. when money becomes the main focus sports become businesses!.. no one cares about the individuals.. no one cares about the teams.. supporters are exploited and good honest competition is destroyed.. so why are you talking to me about money?.. as though it actually matters.. like I have said before.. rodeo isn't a sport!.. it is a business driven purely by money..
@rockhoppin evrything in this world is business weither you want to accept that fact or not. Every stock contractor in this world prizes every single animal that they have and treats them better than most people that have live stock for pets! If you think that these magnificant animals are kept in crowded corrals fighting for food their entire life and are beaten on a daily basis you are wrong. They have hundreds if not thousands of acres to run free spirited and are used only when needed!
@TheSoutherncracker ''All of my bucking stock know what their job is in the arena and are docile out of it'' your own words. if this were the case and your bucking stock know their 'jobs' then you must not need to use flank straps, spurs or electric prods like all the other stock contractors. I'm guessing not. if they are so docile out of the arena then you must really torment and abuse them in the arena to get the reaction you need. dont pretend you care about your animals. enjoy your money!
@rockhoppin flank straps and suprs are used to enhance the bucking motion of the bull or horse. not all horses and bulls have the heart to do that thats why they are chose selectivly. cattle prods are used for disobedience like belts for kids when they get disobedient and if you have ever benn hit with a cattle prod you would know that they dont hurt that bad.

these guys are some of the baddest ass mother fuckers alive and rockhoppin shut your fuckin mouth you queer no one cares what the fuck you have to say what do you heard sheep? ps they only run from you cus sheep dont like to be fucked.
@Thecowboyway13 hey man just to let u kno i support rodeo and i love it. i go to cowboy church and watch rodeos all th time when i can. i wish i had bull riding and bronc riding gear myself cuz i would get myself into it: )
Horse slaughter isn't allowed in the USA anymore, and Rodeo is a VERY American sport. Learn your facts before you go trashing a sport you have no business running your mouth about.
@cowgirlup397 Horses may not be slaughtered in the U.S. for human consumption but that does not mean they are not slaughtered for other uses. American horses are simply taken to Mexico or Canada and slaughtered there instead.
but horses aren't the only animals abused in rodeo.. I thought America was built on burgers and steaks.. you will be telling me you don't slaughter cattle next..
and for the record rodeo isn't a sport!.. in sport all competitors are equal and willing participants..
For the record, you should check your facts. The horses are cross bred with percherons, so they are big boned and very tough animals. Also, the PRCA releases an injury report after every rodeo. Also, those animals are athletes. They are well-bred, well cared for, and treated well. I have yet to see a rodeo animal that is skin and bones, or is timid and scarred from abuse. Seriously, learn your shit before you use opinion as fact.
@cowgirlup397 learn to read before you start hurling abuse.. like I said, animals DON'T have to be skin and bones to be abused.. ill interpret that for you because you are clearly struggling.. just because rodeo stock looks healthy doesn't mean it isn't being abused in the arena!.. flank straps, spurs and electric prods are still abuse no matter what the condition of the animal.. I don’t doubt these animals are athletes but they are not performing they are reacting to pain and fear.. abuse!..
@rockhoppin LEARN TO READ!!!!! I mentioned in my previous post that the animals are not timid either. I have been behind the chutes... have you?! I don't think so. An abused animal would be severly aggressive, or extrememly scared. I have worked with horses and other farm animals my entire life. I train horses... I KNOW what an abused animal looks like and acts like. I have yet to go to a rodeo where I see an animal who shows even the slightest sign of being abused.
@rockhoppin ALSO!!! I have yet to meet a man strong enough to force one of the animals to do anything. If you haven't noticed, they are a helluva lot bigger and stronger than humans. Believe me, if they didn't want to do something, they wouldn't. I ride with spurs because nagging an animal in my opinion is cruel. Flank straps are only used to ENHANCE performance, not create it.
@rockhoppin It's obvious you do not work with any animals like this. Your comments clearly show your ignorance. Before you start trashing rodeo, you should experience it. Before you start trashing equipment, maybe you should see how it REALLY works, and how it is really applie and learn the fundamentals. Your lack of knowledge of the subject is appauling. You are only making yourself look bad by continuing to fight a lost cause.
@cowgirlup397 sadly for your argument I have worked around and with horses all my life.. sports horses competing at world championship level.. I have also worked on a number of farms working with cattle.. and in my spare time I take in and rehabilitate abused and neglected animals..
so i too know what an abused animal looks like and how it behaves.. i can recognise when animals are being tormented and forced to 'perform' against their will.. rodeo is abuse!.. pointless.. heartless abuse!..
@rockhoppin Rodeo is not abuse. It's obvious to everyone that you have not been behind the chutes. Cowboys and cowgirls take pride in their animals, and care for them better than themselves. I don't know what rodeos you are going too, that is assuming you even attend rodeos.
@rockhoppin No it's not, lol. Those animals are allowed to keep their spirit! These horses love their job, and they're awesome at it! They're trained to buck, not forced to.
Dude... every horse bucks. If you don't like rodeo, just screw off and worry about yourself, not what everyone else is doing. You've got no business involving yourself in a sport you know nothing about.
At least these horse are out doing something. I have a line back 5 year old stud horse that is a bronc horse but also you can run barrels on him, rope off him and also even put kids on him to ride. He is well taken care of. He knows hes jobs. You all need fucking lifes. If you think this is abuse to a horse then DONT WATCH THE FUCKING VIDEO!!!!
@barrelracer1618, I watched your videos, and all I can say is, I do feel sorry for your horses. Does your horse flip out in the bronc chute? No? You can even put kids on him? When? After barrels? You are so full of it. Typical.
"At least they are out there"?? Risking their lives, just so you can get your jollies off. Twisted.
Is the bronc chute where your horse "got broke?" Your story is so full of holes, it's hilarious. Learn how to ride first, hon.
Great video!! Long the song too. All you stupid people that think this is abuse to horses you guys are DUMB!!! Its not hitting the fucking horses whats so ever. Im a girl and run barrels and ride broncs and i know my horses are not abused cause they love to run barrels. and all my buddies that have bronc horses they take great care of they horses. Most likely better care than what you all take care of your piece of shit horses that most likely go to waste sitting in the pasture just to look at.
Thats your brilliant comeback? Do YOU have a life? You could doing something useful with your time, instead of tormenting animals. Tree huggers? Your a such fucking idiot its hilarious.
If they did you wouldn't need a flank strap for them to do it. You wouldn't need to shove them in a small chute and stab them tase them kick them etc when they refuse to do what you want. This so called sport is barbaric and un classy. This redneck past time will be long gone by the time this country actually wakes up into the 21st century.
@queenluciaa Wow you're an idiot. The flank strap isn't required by any means. All it does is enhance the motion of the buck and straightens it out. It doesn't cause them to buck. We also don't stab and tase them you dipshit. We don't kick them either. You have no idea what rodeo is, so you have no room to call it barbaric, unclassy, and a redneck pastime. Have you ever been behind the chutes at a rodeo? Have you ever worked with horses before? NO, so shut your fucking mouth you ignorant cunt.
@queenluciaa For one, we only use a cattle prod when the horse is stalled in the chute and won't leave, because it's much more dangerous for the animal, and the rider to be bucking in the chute when they get too excited. The animals have to be well taken care of and treated well in order for them to perform. They are as much athletes as we are. If they can't perform, neither can we. We're dependant on each other. Horses cost a lot of money, especially Rodeo horses!
@queenluciaa Our bucking horses probably cost more than your house, car, and utilities payment combined. Furthermore, the cattle prod is not a fucking taser. Sure it has 4,000 volts of electricity. Volts are carried by amperage, and there is almost NO amperage in a cattle prod. The shock doesn't even hurt. It feels like a bee sting. You are an ignorant fool. You try to talk about things that you have no experience with and have never been around, and you only make yourself look stupid.
That is where you are wrong sire. I have about 2 years of experience of going to rodeos and studying the animals and how they mentally react. My dear friend owns a retired saddle bronc, who took years to gain his trust. Right of the van he was listless, and even laid down and gave up when we tried to deal with him. Don't bullshit me about the CATTLE prod. The marketer of the cattle prod crystal-clearly states that they should NEVER EVER be used in rodeos. Especially horses.
@queenluciaa That depends on which cattle prods you buy. The ones we used are designed for moving horses and cattle around through chutes, and they do NOT hurt. I've been shocked by them. I highly doubt you have any experience with horses. Most broncs become really good horses once they're done competing in the rodeo circuit. If the horse was untrusting, then he probably wasn't a good bronc and was sold to someone who had the time to take care of him. I find no fault in this.
Actually he was bought off a van going to slaughter, thats your local rodeo for you. I live in Canada BTW. Having experience of being shocked by them doesn't make itr right to do it for 8 seconds of foolishness. I find the event pointless. Along with tub riding, stampeding, and wild horse races.
@queenluciaa You don't shock them for 8 seconds either. It's one short, teeny shock and only if they stall in the chute. It's not used every time. You obviously know nothing about rodeo like you claim to. Of course someone as green as you doesn't find the point in anything we do in the rodeo arena. All you see is what PETA and SHARK want you to see. They twist and bend the truth and then make flat out lies and sell it so people feel bad for these animals which are treated better than most people
@Alexandros1294 theres been proof actually of PETA themselves doing cruel punishment to animals too, so i distrust PETA's claims when some of the abuse was done by themselves
@PotterYouRotter7 PETA kills more animals than they save. If they can't find a home for the dogs or cats that they keep, they euthanize them. They also wanted to stop using milk from cows in ice cream... they wanted to start using human breast milk for it.
I've seen them shock horses/bulls to make them explode out of the chute. If it was tiny, they wouldn't leap away so violently. Bucking horses are made as uncomfortable and scared as possibly to guarantee the "exciting" performance the audience wants. I'm not saying every rodeo is cruel, but bucking broncs are abused mentally and physically most of the time. Hell, calves and steers get it even worse. The video evidence doesn't lie, bud.
@xxibitsuxx Actually, most shark videos are doctored. It's not safe to sit there and excite a horse in the chute while you're waiting to get on. They're skiddish animals, and you don't want them flipping over in the chute on you because they get too excited. The animals only get the hot shot when an animal has stalled in the chute. THESE ARE THE RULES. You get fined if they are used otherwise.
@Alexandros1294, DOCTORED?? Hilarious!! Keep telling yourself that, dear child. Meanwhile, we'll continue to shake our heads at your cruelty. CBC TV didn't doctor one second of coverage of the Stampede. Except of course, to cut away from the calf clotheslinings. Horses flippin' out in the chute. Doctored. Bwhahahahahahaha. I guess no-one "doctored" YOUR horse flippin' over in the chute, that the horse obviously loved so much.
@AnimalLeftist Yes doctored. SHARK can show a video of a nasty looking crash, and show a horse falling down, and then they cut it off. They forget to show the part where the horse gets up and walks away just fine and like nothing ever happened at all. I was at a few of the rodeos SHARK has recorded and none of those "disasters" even happened. The crashes were bad looking, but the horses were fine. Very rarely do horses ever get injured or die in rodeos. Stawberry Fudge was one of those though.
@Alexandros1294 , ROFLMAO. Yeah, cutting away. Oh, please. Hmmm. does the name Checkmate ring a bell? A little pathetic cremello? How about the horses that just ship straight to slaughter, because they don't want to play your game, and no-one else can get near them? Kudos for feeding the slaughter pipeline, kid. Horsemanshit is what you "practice". I know horsemanship. What you do? Ain't it. Try to grow up, in one piece. Learn to RIDE horses, not torment them. Quit using the hotprod on yourself.
@AnimalLeftist Well no one said rodeo was horsemanship at its best. However, rodeo is a sport and it's entertainment for millions of people, and so it doesn't have to be horsemanship at it's best. These are horses that people didn't have the time or the desire to break in, so they give them to us so that we can ride them in rodeos. Quit believing everything you read on the internet or that SHARK tells you. They have alterior motives.
@Alexandros1294, Kid, I fear for your long-term well-being, too, ya know. You only get one brain. You should try to protect it, not concuss it, over and over! These are horses that no-one gives a shit about, so you get to torment them for fun & prizes, I didn't like rodeo YEARS before SHARK came along. I questioned the attitude it creates in people. You want to ride horses, or torment horses? I'm glad people are being shown what I have disliked, for many years now. Before the internet, even!
@AnimalLeftist I've only had one concussion, and my brain still operates at 100% capacity. I'll be fine. We don't torment these horses. Why the hell would I want to? When I'm getting on, I want a horse to be calm, collected, and at ease with everything. How is that possible if we are tormenting them? Once that gate opens, the horse knows its job, and he/she does it and everyone goes along their merry way.
@Alexandros1294 , by your own admission, you've landed on your head twice. Are you SURE you'll be fine? explain to me why bucking horses have a gaping mouth? The horse smiling in happiness? I wish you'd learn more about horses, and less about how to make them buck. It's a stupid, useless, cruel sport. It's been going on far too long. So sad, that you don't want to listen. For horses. Breaking horses in the "hard" way, as you put it, is the wrong way. You can't see the torment. It's "cool".
@AnimalLeftist Do I look like the kind of person that cares what's cool and what's not? Of course not. They have a gaping mouth because they have to breath while working as well. Horses that run, will breath with their mouth open occasionally. Horses that do anything will keep their mouth open while working. They have to breath like any other living being.
@Alexandros1294, you want the horse to buck, so you can look cool. The merry way is yours, alone. "Calm COLLECTED at ease??" You want that for yourself bud. Try to keep your stories straight. I can't believe you used the word collected. You'll never listen. Why? Tormenting a horse is cool. You can insist the quality of care is high, all you want. We know where you send them when they stop being "cool". Roughstock/deadstock/bucking stock. Sad state for horses.
@AnimalLeftist I want it for myself, and for the horse. I don't like being around scared horses, and when a horse is scared, I do my best to calm it down in the chute. I have never tormented a horse, and I will never be guilty of doing such a thing. Quit assuming things, and go back to eating your vegetables. Leave us alone and let us live the way we want to, and we'll leave you alone.
@AnimalLeftist Calf Clotheslinings. Yeah. Whatever. The PRCA doesn't doctor the footage. I've seen plenty of horses flip over in chutes on TV before, and especially at the NFR. It's not something anybody likes to happen, it just happens. Horses get excited. They're animals with small brains and they overreact to everything. They're prey animals. So yes, accidents like that will happen.
@Alexandros1294 , funny, horses, if "trained and bred" as you say, shouldn't try to kill themselves in the chute. But yeah, whatever. So, using your statistics, 50% of horses flip over in the chute. Clap, clap, clap. Aren't the horses having a blast! The abuse is all over the internet, sir, and SHARK is simply showing truth that is everywhere. Doctoring. snork. Accidents happen all the time, but only your "sport" sets these animals up to fail.
@AnimalLeftist Like I said, colts are skiddish, so yes, occasionally they will rear up or kick in the chutes. The horses in my sport are well taken care of, and become famous. Grated Coconut, a famous Calgary Bucking horses had a fucking gold plated halter they made for it and led her around with. She just sits on a pasture and eats now, and they're still breeding colts out of her. She's treated like royalty.
@Alexandros1294 , and her offspring go for millions, and all is always happy in rodeo horse land. Calgary can afford gold-plated halters. And a quick google search shows pretty low prices on bucking stock. From free, up to completely over-priced. You don't see how the horse industry has over-populated, do you.. Hell, no, slaughter the non-buckin' buggers in Mexica and Canada! Wonderful attitudes towards rodeo stock, all OVER the place.
@AnimalLeftist A high quality bucking horse is going to sell for quite a bit of money. One that hasn't been proven is not going to sell for a whole lot. Those bucking horses you see for practically nothing are usually trashy old saddle horses that no one had the time to work with. They deserve to live and have a job as well, do they not? Send them to rodeos where they can do what they love. If that's not good enough, then they can go to slaughter, or to someone else who does want to work them.
@xxibitsuxx The broncs you see are so well taken care of. They have access to the veterinary care at all times, get inspected regularly, and are fed high quality food. The only way you can have a good performance, is if the animal performs well. An injured, spooked, scared, and abused animal is not going to perform. These horses are trained and bred to do what they do.
@AnimalLeftist A horse that is tormented is not going to do any job, period. A tormented horse wouldn't even let people near it. These bucking horses typically don't mind having people around them in a chute at all, unless they're colts, and they all get used to it. If they didn't like what they do, they'd be gone, because we have no use for a horse that doesn't want to do its job.
@xxibitsuxx A standard cattle prod, or "hotshot" only lets out around 5,000 volts. A standard police tazer lets out 11,000 to 50,000. To give you an idea of the difference. 5,000 volts doesn't hurt too bad. I've been shocked by it. A horse's hide is 3 times thicker than human skin, and a bull's hide is 7 times thicker. So they don't feel nearly as much shock from it as we would. It's just a signal to get moving. Experience with animals doesn't lie, bud.
@AnimalLeftist It isn't. PRCA Rules and Guidelines state that it can only be used when a horse or a bull stalls in the chute. You get fined a few thousand dollars for hot shotting them when they don't stall. You can also only use it on the hip or shoulder area.
@Alexandros1294 , awwww, how sweet. Why then, does the maker of the HotShot recoemmend it NOT be used on horses? Oh, right, never mind, it doesn't hurt them. How pathetic. How sick, really. You don't even see how cruel you sound. A horses' hide is "only" three times thicker. They LOVE getting shocked, too, I'm sure. Why not just call the event what it is? Pissed off equids. Tame, broke, domesticated. That shock you took addled your brain cells. It fried your compassion for other living things.
@AnimalLeftist The "maker of the hotshot" says not to use it to lead horses around, like you would in a pen. It says nothing about using it on a horse that's stalled in a bucking chute. However, most people won't even use the hotshots anyway. They don't like to. A horse's hide is three times thicker, meaning they don't feel the shock as bad as you or me would, and even I say it doesn't hurt because I've been shocked by one before.
@AnimalLeftist Yes, these horses are domesticated, but they are far from being broke and tame. Very few of these horses are broken in or tamed. I'd love to see you try and put a halter on most bucking horses around here. They'd jump and kick at you as soon as you got within 3 feet of them. If you were out in a field, they'd probably just run from you. They aren't tame at all. They act just like wild horses do.
@queenluciaa When no one buys a horse, the horse goes to slaughter. More often than not, most horses end up being sold after they retired. Just because ONE horse is on its way to a slaughter house, doesn't mean that every horse in rodeo is sent there. Stop generalising, you make yourself look retarded. Rodeo is not a cruel sport.
@Alexandros1294, Now it has 4000. Keep your bullshit straight. I guess all the animals I've ever seen REACTING to a bee sting, were also tree-hugging pussies. You really are a piece of work, aren'tcha? They love their job, and they cost more than I'll ever make in my life. Yes, we know rodeos are run by big mega-corps. Us pathetic little people can still recognize cruelty when we see it. Big Ag has more money than Buffett. So, if you have money, you're entitled to be cruel, eh?
@AnimalLeftist Well an electric shock, no matter how high the voltage is, is going to cause a reaction. Duh. Rodeo's aren't run by big mega corporations either. Rodeo isn't a business anybody gets rich doing. Stock contractors, contestants, and rodeo companies alike don't make all that much money. It's just something they like to do. Yes, these horses do like what they do. Not all of them do, but most of them do. The ones that don't are usually sent off to other places.
@Alexandros1294 , stop, you're killing me, this is so funny. "OTHER places"? Yeah, I can just imagine. Maybe school horses, huh? snork. Or meat. Seriously, this is just getting funnier.
@AnimalLeftist I put other places because there wasn't enough room to type. Yes, some go off to slaughter if they don't buck that well. That's usually where they would go even if they weren't put in rodeos. People don't want to deal with horses that are just going to buck all of the time. However, some bucking horses actually end up making really good pick up horses, cutting horses, or even barrel racing horses sometimes. I've seen it all before.
@Alexandros1294 , at your age? Wow, when did you start riding, when you were 3? EVEN barrel racers? Not horses that GIRLS ride!! No shite!"People don't want to deal with horses that are just going to buck all of the time." Yes, the over-production of crap horses is indeed a problem. Rodeo feeds that business. I can see this is pointless, sir. You are well-programmed. I hope someday, you acquire the sense to care about your skull's future enough to quit riding broncs. Rodeo sux, for horses.
@AnimalLeftist Well the reason rodeo exists is because we don't think that these buckers are crap horses. We give them a life they enjoy and a chance to do what they instinctively want to do. The horses are just fine, and they aren't tormented. We all respect these animals because it's how we make our living. If a horse isn't treated well, it doesn't perform well. That's simple logic. It's in our best interests to make sure these animals are well taken care of.
its funny that people try to say that the animals are the ones being abused......i love rodeos and ride broncs myself and i know for a fact that its the people being abused and not the animals.....the proof is right here in this video
man those are some rank horses. And ya alot of these horses wont even buck unless u spur em good i was at a camp and there was a saddle horse who the contractor uses for bucking and the ppl who spurred got it buck good and those who didn't just got a fast loping horse around the arena. And every stock contractor ive ever been with had very strong and healthy bulls and horses.. yes there are the rotten contractors who give the sport a bad name but most take great care of their stock.
So I'm an English rider who hasn't ever been on a bronc, and I'm really not trying to be rude or disrespectful, but I was always taught it was a BAD thing to be bucked off. Is there a certain adrenaline in coming out of the gate that makes you guys keep going back? It's really pretty amazing that you continue to get on, knowing that in a few seconds that you'll be on the ground again. I've got a lot of respect for you guys.
@CrimsonxTears Well... a lot of these horses aren't broken yet, and the ones that are, are trained to buck. It is bad on any other horse, but on broncs, it's alright. A lot of the horses you see people use to catch the bronc after the rider falls off are ex-saddle broncs. They turn into great horses.
Yes sir thiers a big adrenaline rush in it and when your a cowboy even one that does not partake in rodeo events if you have grown up around horses you are always taught to get back on after you fall... or at least every cowboy i know has been tought this and im sure that everyone on here will agree with that statement
@PotterYouRotter7 LOL well its always better to get back on and show the animal you are not affraid if you can show that to the animal you have a better chance of gaining its trust over time and having a much smoother ride in the future
@CrimsonxTears im an english rider too. ya you dont want to be bucked off, but dont be terrified at the idea or you will definetly have a bigger chance on falling off. and its not as if you cant get back on if you fall.
@PotterYouRotter7 Oh yeah, I've definitely been bucked off before haha so I'm not exactly scared of it, but when I watched this video, it pretty much blew my mind.
these people are sick. and thats a bad sick not a good sick. they UTTERLY WRECK perfectly willing and good horses and turn them into fire-hearted bucking machines. i can't understand for the life if me why anyone would want to go and watch such a revolting sport. it shouldn't even be allowed to be called a sport!! those people are all sick, idiotic freaks who have nothing better to do with their time.
You idiot. These animals get fantastic treatment and care. They are bred specifically to have good form and a steady rhythm.
It's the best job a horse can have. 8 seconds of work and then a few weeks off until the next ride. Then after a few months they get the rest of the year off until next season.
Don't spout about things you don't know about you ignorant moron.
@bestiehorse1997 .... the horses used to catch the broncs are typically ex saddle broncs. It doesn't ruin them at all... in fact, most of them are great horses when they get out of the arena...
your a dumb ass... these sick idiotic freaks (Cowboys Proper Term :) by the way) make ten times the amount of money in a year that you probably make in three. and besides those poor poor animals you talk about have it much much better than any ranch horse working horse or trail horse in the world have it. these animals are specifically trained to buck its the flank strap and spurs that do it not torture or what ever the hell you belive does...
Billys way too old to be doin that shit... The nicest guy you'll ever meet... But he's gonna kill himself he had more wrecks in that vid than anyone else
good video im doing this already and its kinna pain full i dont do it for a living but i do it on my horses tex and missy and some of my cuzins unbrokes

MsCheygirl55 1 month ago
"My first colt that I was supposed to ride got a little too excited in the chute and flipped over, so we had to turn him loose to keep him from hurting himself." Another horsie that was bred to do his job? Maybe if you stopped landing on your head, you'd understand compassion. Grow up, child.
AnimalLeftist 6 months ago
@AnimalLeftist Yes, that horse was bred to buck. However, horses are skiddish animals. So yeah, they'll get excited and they'll jump around in the chute a bit. All young horses will act a bit skiddish, whether they're bucking horses or not.
Alexandros1294 6 months ago
@Alexandros1294 , as long as you're riding them, I guess. Never knowing if you will torment them must be such fun for them to anticipate
AnimalLeftist 5 months ago
@AnimalLeftist A tormented horse doesn't let you ride it, dumbass.
Alexandros1294 5 months ago
@Alexandros1294 , that's the whole point behind saddle broncs, genius.
AnimalLeftist 5 months ago
@AnimalLeftist Wrong. Saddle bronc riding evolved out of breaking horses in the hard way. Now they are just trained to buck and you have to spur the horse and make it look cool. They're not going to be broken in, and the horses aren't in pain or anything while they are bucking saddle bronc or bareback riders off.
Alexandros1294 5 months ago
Poor rodeo "cowboys". They don't want to learn to actually RIDE the horsie. Like Mr. Alexandros here. WAY more fun to force them to buck.
AnimalLeftist 6 months ago
@AnimalLeftist Actually, we can all ride horses. We can ride them as bucking horses with rodeo styles, and we can ride them normally as well. Do you know anything about horsemanship?
Alexandros1294 6 months ago
btw bucking broncos have feelings because when the people fall off u always see the horses look to see where they have fallen. and they do step on them, i guarantee that it was a accident.

TheSoutherncracker 1 year ago
@TheSoutherncracker rodeo isn't a sport.. the animals aren't willing participants.. and the stock contractors send their animals to rodeo.. that in it's self is abuse!.. an animal doesn't have to be skin and bones to be abused.. a healthy animal would react in much the same way as a skinny one when the flank strap is tightened or an electric prod is applied..

@rockhoppin Rodeo and Golf are the only two athletic sports that I can think of that can be classified as a sport. @cowgirlup397 Yes I know, sorry, he pissed me off. Hm, I think rodeos are terribly, the things that are supposed to be "fun" is when animals or humans are hurt, or when bulls/horses are very scared. I don't find that funny or entertaining in any way
sigridandbilly 1 year ago
@sigridandbilly Nobody finds the animals falling or slipping or cowboys/ cowgirls funny or entertaining. The entertainment and fun come from the thrill of seeing a good ride, and watching the riders and animals challenge themselves.
cowgirlup397 1 year ago
@sigridandbilly The horses aren't scared or hurt. If they get hurt it's not intentional. The horses and bulls love their damn job.
Alexandros1294 1 year ago 5
@Alexandros1294 Yes, I can see by the whites in their eyes that they really "love" their job. And if they "love" it, WHY does they have a flank strap? To make them buck. It's not the rider who scares them
sigridandbilly 1 year ago
@sigridandbilly They have a flank strap to enhance the motion of the buck. They're going to buck anyway without it, the flank strap it just put on snug on their flank to keep the motion straighter and higher. The flank strap isn't put on very tight, because if you get it too tight, they don't move. It's also made to loosen as they buck.
Alexandros1294 1 year ago
@TheSoutherncracker sports are destroyed by money.. when money becomes the main focus sports become businesses!.. no one cares about the individuals.. no one cares about the teams.. supporters are exploited and good honest competition is destroyed.. so why are you talking to me about money?.. as though it actually matters.. like I have said before.. rodeo isn't a sport!.. it is a business driven purely by money..
rockhoppin 1 year ago
@rockhoppin evrything in this world is business weither you want to accept that fact or not. Every stock contractor in this world prizes every single animal that they have and treats them better than most people that have live stock for pets! If you think that these magnificant animals are kept in crowded corrals fighting for food their entire life and are beaten on a daily basis you are wrong. They have hundreds if not thousands of acres to run free spirited and are used only when needed!
TheSoutherncracker 1 year ago
@TheSoutherncracker ''All of my bucking stock know what their job is in the arena and are docile out of it'' your own words. if this were the case and your bucking stock know their 'jobs' then you must not need to use flank straps, spurs or electric prods like all the other stock contractors. I'm guessing not. if they are so docile out of the arena then you must really torment and abuse them in the arena to get the reaction you need. dont pretend you care about your animals. enjoy your money!
rockhoppin 1 year ago
@rockhoppin flank straps and suprs are used to enhance the bucking motion of the bull or horse. not all horses and bulls have the heart to do that thats why they are chose selectivly. cattle prods are used for disobedience like belts for kids when they get disobedient and if you have ever benn hit with a cattle prod you would know that they dont hurt that bad.

Hey @rockhoppin
Horse slaughter isn't allowed in the USA anymore, and Rodeo is a VERY American sport. Learn your facts before you go trashing a sport you have no business running your mouth about.
cowgirlup397 1 year ago
@cowgirlup397 That is so true@!!!!!!!!!1
leah07nissan 1 year ago
@cowgirlup397 Horses may not be slaughtered in the U.S. for human consumption but that does not mean they are not slaughtered for other uses. American horses are simply taken to Mexico or Canada and slaughtered there instead.
but horses aren't the only animals abused in rodeo.. I thought America was built on burgers and steaks.. you will be telling me you don't slaughter cattle next..
and for the record rodeo isn't a sport!.. in sport all competitors are equal and willing participants..
rockhoppin 1 year ago
For the record, you should check your facts. The horses are cross bred with percherons, so they are big boned and very tough animals. Also, the PRCA releases an injury report after every rodeo. Also, those animals are athletes. They are well-bred, well cared for, and treated well. I have yet to see a rodeo animal that is skin and bones, or is timid and scarred from abuse. Seriously, learn your shit before you use opinion as fact.
cowgirlup397 1 year ago
@cowgirlup397 learn to read before you start hurling abuse.. like I said, animals DON'T have to be skin and bones to be abused.. ill interpret that for you because you are clearly struggling.. just because rodeo stock looks healthy doesn't mean it isn't being abused in the arena!.. flank straps, spurs and electric prods are still abuse no matter what the condition of the animal.. I don’t doubt these animals are athletes but they are not performing they are reacting to pain and fear.. abuse!..
rockhoppin 1 year ago
@rockhoppin LEARN TO READ!!!!! I mentioned in my previous post that the animals are not timid either. I have been behind the chutes... have you?! I don't think so. An abused animal would be severly aggressive, or extrememly scared. I have worked with horses and other farm animals my entire life. I train horses... I KNOW what an abused animal looks like and acts like. I have yet to go to a rodeo where I see an animal who shows even the slightest sign of being abused.
cowgirlup397 1 year ago
@rockhoppin ALSO!!! I have yet to meet a man strong enough to force one of the animals to do anything. If you haven't noticed, they are a helluva lot bigger and stronger than humans. Believe me, if they didn't want to do something, they wouldn't. I ride with spurs because nagging an animal in my opinion is cruel. Flank straps are only used to ENHANCE performance, not create it.
cowgirlup397 1 year ago
@rockhoppin It's obvious you do not work with any animals like this. Your comments clearly show your ignorance. Before you start trashing rodeo, you should experience it. Before you start trashing equipment, maybe you should see how it REALLY works, and how it is really applie and learn the fundamentals. Your lack of knowledge of the subject is appauling. You are only making yourself look bad by continuing to fight a lost cause.
cowgirlup397 1 year ago
@cowgirlup397 sadly for your argument I have worked around and with horses all my life.. sports horses competing at world championship level.. I have also worked on a number of farms working with cattle.. and in my spare time I take in and rehabilitate abused and neglected animals..
so i too know what an abused animal looks like and how it behaves.. i can recognise when animals are being tormented and forced to 'perform' against their will.. rodeo is abuse!.. pointless.. heartless abuse!..
rockhoppin 1 year ago
@rockhoppin Rodeo is not abuse. It's obvious to everyone that you have not been behind the chutes. Cowboys and cowgirls take pride in their animals, and care for them better than themselves. I don't know what rodeos you are going too, that is assuming you even attend rodeos.
cowgirlup397 1 year ago
@rockhoppin Also, I was referring to your lack of knowledge in stock animals (the animals they use in rodeos).
cowgirlup397 1 year ago
@rockhoppin No it's not, lol. Those animals are allowed to keep their spirit! These horses love their job, and they're awesome at it! They're trained to buck, not forced to.
Alexandros1294 1 year ago
Dude... every horse bucks. If you don't like rodeo, just screw off and worry about yourself, not what everyone else is doing. You've got no business involving yourself in a sport you know nothing about.

@queenluciaa We're not tormenting animals. They love this job.
Alexandros1294 9 months ago
@Alexandros1294
If they did you wouldn't need a flank strap for them to do it. You wouldn't need to shove them in a small chute and stab them tase them kick them etc when they refuse to do what you want. This so called sport is barbaric and un classy. This redneck past time will be long gone by the time this country actually wakes up into the 21st century.
queenluciaa 9 months ago
@queenluciaa Wow you're an idiot. The flank strap isn't required by any means. All it does is enhance the motion of the buck and straightens it out. It doesn't cause them to buck. We also don't stab and tase them you dipshit. We don't kick them either. You have no idea what rodeo is, so you have no room to call it barbaric, unclassy, and a redneck pastime. Have you ever been behind the chutes at a rodeo? Have you ever worked with horses before? NO, so shut your fucking mouth you ignorant cunt.
Alexandros1294 9 months ago
@queenluciaa For one, we only use a cattle prod when the horse is stalled in the chute and won't leave, because it's much more dangerous for the animal, and the rider to be bucking in the chute when they get too excited. The animals have to be well taken care of and treated well in order for them to perform. They are as much athletes as we are. If they can't perform, neither can we. We're dependant on each other. Horses cost a lot of money, especially Rodeo horses!
Alexandros1294 9 months ago
@queenluciaa Our bucking horses probably cost more than your house, car, and utilities payment combined. Furthermore, the cattle prod is not a fucking taser. Sure it has 4,000 volts of electricity. Volts are carried by amperage, and there is almost NO amperage in a cattle prod. The shock doesn't even hurt. It feels like a bee sting. You are an ignorant fool. You try to talk about things that you have no experience with and have never been around, and you only make yourself look stupid.
Alexandros1294 9 months ago
@Alexandros1294
Especially horses.
queenluciaa 9 months ago
@queenluciaa That depends on which cattle prods you buy. The ones we used are designed for moving horses and cattle around through chutes, and they do NOT hurt. I've been shocked by them. I highly doubt you have any experience with horses. Most broncs become really good horses once they're done competing in the rodeo circuit. If the horse was untrusting, then he probably wasn't a good bronc and was sold to someone who had the time to take care of him. I find no fault in this.
Alexandros1294 9 months ago
@Alexandros1294
Actually he was bought off a van going to slaughter, thats your local rodeo for you. I live in Canada BTW. Having experience of being shocked by them doesn't make itr right to do it for 8 seconds of foolishness. I find the event pointless. Along with tub riding, stampeding, and wild horse races.
queenluciaa 9 months ago
@queenluciaa You don't shock them for 8 seconds either. It's one short, teeny shock and only if they stall in the chute. It's not used every time. You obviously know nothing about rodeo like you claim to. Of course someone as green as you doesn't find the point in anything we do in the rodeo arena. All you see is what PETA and SHARK want you to see. They twist and bend the truth and then make flat out lies and sell it so people feel bad for these animals which are treated better than most people
Alexandros1294 9 months ago
@Alexandros1294 theres been proof actually of PETA themselves doing cruel punishment to animals too, so i distrust PETA's claims when some of the abuse was done by themselves
PotterYouRotter7 7 months ago
@PotterYouRotter7 PETA kills more animals than they save. If they can't find a home for the dogs or cats that they keep, they euthanize them. They also wanted to stop using milk from cows in ice cream... they wanted to start using human breast milk for it.
Alexandros1294 7 months ago
@Alexandros1294
The video evidence doesn't lie, bud.
xxibitsuxx 6 months ago
@xxibitsuxx Actually, most shark videos are doctored. It's not safe to sit there and excite a horse in the chute while you're waiting to get on. They're skiddish animals, and you don't want them flipping over in the chute on you because they get too excited. The animals only get the hot shot when an animal has stalled in the chute. THESE ARE THE RULES. You get fined if they are used otherwise.
Alexandros1294 6 months ago
@Alexandros1294, DOCTORED?? Hilarious!! Keep telling yourself that, dear child. Meanwhile, we'll continue to shake our heads at your cruelty. CBC TV didn't doctor one second of coverage of the Stampede. Except of course, to cut away from the calf clotheslinings. Horses flippin' out in the chute. Doctored. Bwhahahahahahaha. I guess no-one "doctored" YOUR horse flippin' over in the chute, that the horse obviously loved so much.
AnimalLeftist 6 months ago
@AnimalLeftist Yes doctored. SHARK can show a video of a nasty looking crash, and show a horse falling down, and then they cut it off. They forget to show the part where the horse gets up and walks away just fine and like nothing ever happened at all. I was at a few of the rodeos SHARK has recorded and none of those "disasters" even happened. The crashes were bad looking, but the horses were fine. Very rarely do horses ever get injured or die in rodeos. Stawberry Fudge was one of those though.
Alexandros1294 6 months ago
@Alexandros1294 , ROFLMAO. Yeah, cutting away. Oh, please. Hmmm. does the name Checkmate ring a bell? A little pathetic cremello? How about the horses that just ship straight to slaughter, because they don't want to play your game, and no-one else can get near them? Kudos for feeding the slaughter pipeline, kid. Horsemanshit is what you "practice". I know horsemanship. What you do? Ain't it. Try to grow up, in one piece. Learn to RIDE horses, not torment them. Quit using the hotprod on yourself.
AnimalLeftist 5 months ago
@AnimalLeftist Well no one said rodeo was horsemanship at its best. However, rodeo is a sport and it's entertainment for millions of people, and so it doesn't have to be horsemanship at it's best. These are horses that people didn't have the time or the desire to break in, so they give them to us so that we can ride them in rodeos. Quit believing everything you read on the internet or that SHARK tells you. They have alterior motives.
Alexandros1294 5 months ago
@Alexandros1294, Kid, I fear for your long-term well-being, too, ya know. You only get one brain. You should try to protect it, not concuss it, over and over! These are horses that no-one gives a shit about, so you get to torment them for fun & prizes, I didn't like rodeo YEARS before SHARK came along. I questioned the attitude it creates in people. You want to ride horses, or torment horses? I'm glad people are being shown what I have disliked, for many years now. Before the internet, even!
AnimalLeftist 5 months ago
@AnimalLeftist I've only had one concussion, and my brain still operates at 100% capacity. I'll be fine. We don't torment these horses. Why the hell would I want to? When I'm getting on, I want a horse to be calm, collected, and at ease with everything. How is that possible if we are tormenting them? Once that gate opens, the horse knows its job, and he/she does it and everyone goes along their merry way.
Alexandros1294 5 months ago
@Alexandros1294 , by your own admission, you've landed on your head twice. Are you SURE you'll be fine? explain to me why bucking horses have a gaping mouth? The horse smiling in happiness? I wish you'd learn more about horses, and less about how to make them buck. It's a stupid, useless, cruel sport. It's been going on far too long. So sad, that you don't want to listen. For horses. Breaking horses in the "hard" way, as you put it, is the wrong way. You can't see the torment. It's "cool".
AnimalLeftist 5 months ago
@AnimalLeftist Do I look like the kind of person that cares what's cool and what's not? Of course not. They have a gaping mouth because they have to breath while working as well. Horses that run, will breath with their mouth open occasionally. Horses that do anything will keep their mouth open while working. They have to breath like any other living being.
Alexandros1294 5 months ago
@Alexandros1294, you want the horse to buck, so you can look cool. The merry way is yours, alone. "Calm COLLECTED at ease??" You want that for yourself bud. Try to keep your stories straight. I can't believe you used the word collected. You'll never listen. Why? Tormenting a horse is cool. You can insist the quality of care is high, all you want. We know where you send them when they stop being "cool". Roughstock/deadstock/bucking stock. Sad state for horses.
AnimalLeftist 5 months ago
@AnimalLeftist I want it for myself, and for the horse. I don't like being around scared horses, and when a horse is scared, I do my best to calm it down in the chute. I have never tormented a horse, and I will never be guilty of doing such a thing. Quit assuming things, and go back to eating your vegetables. Leave us alone and let us live the way we want to, and we'll leave you alone.
Alexandros1294 5 months ago
@AnimalLeftist Calf Clotheslinings. Yeah. Whatever. The PRCA doesn't doctor the footage. I've seen plenty of horses flip over in chutes on TV before, and especially at the NFR. It's not something anybody likes to happen, it just happens. Horses get excited. They're animals with small brains and they overreact to everything. They're prey animals. So yes, accidents like that will happen.
Alexandros1294 6 months ago
@Alexandros1294 , funny, horses, if "trained and bred" as you say, shouldn't try to kill themselves in the chute. But yeah, whatever. So, using your statistics, 50% of horses flip over in the chute. Clap, clap, clap. Aren't the horses having a blast! The abuse is all over the internet, sir, and SHARK is simply showing truth that is everywhere. Doctoring. snork. Accidents happen all the time, but only your "sport" sets these animals up to fail.
AnimalLeftist 5 months ago
@AnimalLeftist Like I said, colts are skiddish, so yes, occasionally they will rear up or kick in the chutes. The horses in my sport are well taken care of, and become famous. Grated Coconut, a famous Calgary Bucking horses had a fucking gold plated halter they made for it and led her around with. She just sits on a pasture and eats now, and they're still breeding colts out of her. She's treated like royalty.
Alexandros1294 5 months ago
@Alexandros1294 , and her offspring go for millions, and all is always happy in rodeo horse land. Calgary can afford gold-plated halters. And a quick google search shows pretty low prices on bucking stock. From free, up to completely over-priced. You don't see how the horse industry has over-populated, do you.. Hell, no, slaughter the non-buckin' buggers in Mexica and Canada! Wonderful attitudes towards rodeo stock, all OVER the place.
AnimalLeftist 5 months ago
@AnimalLeftist A high quality bucking horse is going to sell for quite a bit of money. One that hasn't been proven is not going to sell for a whole lot. Those bucking horses you see for practically nothing are usually trashy old saddle horses that no one had the time to work with. They deserve to live and have a job as well, do they not? Send them to rodeos where they can do what they love. If that's not good enough, then they can go to slaughter, or to someone else who does want to work them.
Alexandros1294 5 months ago
@xxibitsuxx The broncs you see are so well taken care of. They have access to the veterinary care at all times, get inspected regularly, and are fed high quality food. The only way you can have a good performance, is if the animal performs well. An injured, spooked, scared, and abused animal is not going to perform. These horses are trained and bred to do what they do.
Alexandros1294 6 months ago
@Alexandros1294 , trained to be tormented. Kudos!
AnimalLeftist 6 months ago
@AnimalLeftist A horse that is tormented is not going to do any job, period. A tormented horse wouldn't even let people near it. These bucking horses typically don't mind having people around them in a chute at all, unless they're colts, and they all get used to it. If they didn't like what they do, they'd be gone, because we have no use for a horse that doesn't want to do its job.
Alexandros1294 6 months ago
@xxibitsuxx A standard cattle prod, or "hotshot" only lets out around 5,000 volts. A standard police tazer lets out 11,000 to 50,000. To give you an idea of the difference. 5,000 volts doesn't hurt too bad. I've been shocked by it. A horse's hide is 3 times thicker than human skin, and a bull's hide is 7 times thicker. So they don't feel nearly as much shock from it as we would. It's just a signal to get moving. Experience with animals doesn't lie, bud.
Alexandros1294 6 months ago
@Alexandros1294, then why is it now ruled illegal?
AnimalLeftist 6 months ago
@AnimalLeftist It isn't. PRCA Rules and Guidelines state that it can only be used when a horse or a bull stalls in the chute. You get fined a few thousand dollars for hot shotting them when they don't stall. You can also only use it on the hip or shoulder area.
Alexandros1294 6 months ago
@Alexandros1294 , awwww, how sweet. Why then, does the maker of the HotShot recoemmend it NOT be used on horses? Oh, right, never mind, it doesn't hurt them. How pathetic. How sick, really. You don't even see how cruel you sound. A horses' hide is "only" three times thicker. They LOVE getting shocked, too, I'm sure. Why not just call the event what it is? Pissed off equids. Tame, broke, domesticated. That shock you took addled your brain cells. It fried your compassion for other living things.
AnimalLeftist 6 months ago
@AnimalLeftist The "maker of the hotshot" says not to use it to lead horses around, like you would in a pen. It says nothing about using it on a horse that's stalled in a bucking chute. However, most people won't even use the hotshots anyway. They don't like to. A horse's hide is three times thicker, meaning they don't feel the shock as bad as you or me would, and even I say it doesn't hurt because I've been shocked by one before.
Alexandros1294 6 months ago
@AnimalLeftist Yes, these horses are domesticated, but they are far from being broke and tame. Very few of these horses are broken in or tamed. I'd love to see you try and put a halter on most bucking horses around here. They'd jump and kick at you as soon as you got within 3 feet of them. If you were out in a field, they'd probably just run from you. They aren't tame at all. They act just like wild horses do.
Alexandros1294 6 months ago
@queenluciaa When no one buys a horse, the horse goes to slaughter. More often than not, most horses end up being sold after they retired. Just because ONE horse is on its way to a slaughter house, doesn't mean that every horse in rodeo is sent there. Stop generalising, you make yourself look retarded. Rodeo is not a cruel sport.
Alexandros1294 9 months ago
@Alexandros1294, Now it has 4000. Keep your bullshit straight. I guess all the animals I've ever seen REACTING to a bee sting, were also tree-hugging pussies. You really are a piece of work, aren'tcha? They love their job, and they cost more than I'll ever make in my life. Yes, we know rodeos are run by big mega-corps. Us pathetic little people can still recognize cruelty when we see it. Big Ag has more money than Buffett. So, if you have money, you're entitled to be cruel, eh?
AnimalLeftist 6 months ago
@AnimalLeftist Well an electric shock, no matter how high the voltage is, is going to cause a reaction. Duh. Rodeo's aren't run by big mega corporations either. Rodeo isn't a business anybody gets rich doing. Stock contractors, contestants, and rodeo companies alike don't make all that much money. It's just something they like to do. Yes, these horses do like what they do. Not all of them do, but most of them do. The ones that don't are usually sent off to other places.
Alexandros1294 6 months ago
@Alexandros1294 , stop, you're killing me, this is so funny. "OTHER places"? Yeah, I can just imagine. Maybe school horses, huh? snork. Or meat. Seriously, this is just getting funnier.
AnimalLeftist 5 months ago
@AnimalLeftist I put other places because there wasn't enough room to type. Yes, some go off to slaughter if they don't buck that well. That's usually where they would go even if they weren't put in rodeos. People don't want to deal with horses that are just going to buck all of the time. However, some bucking horses actually end up making really good pick up horses, cutting horses, or even barrel racing horses sometimes. I've seen it all before.
Alexandros1294 5 months ago
@Alexandros1294 , at your age? Wow, when did you start riding, when you were 3? EVEN barrel racers? Not horses that GIRLS ride!! No shite!"People don't want to deal with horses that are just going to buck all of the time." Yes, the over-production of crap horses is indeed a problem. Rodeo feeds that business. I can see this is pointless, sir. You are well-programmed. I hope someday, you acquire the sense to care about your skull's future enough to quit riding broncs. Rodeo sux, for horses.
AnimalLeftist 5 months ago
@AnimalLeftist Well the reason rodeo exists is because we don't think that these buckers are crap horses. We give them a life they enjoy and a chance to do what they instinctively want to do. The horses are just fine, and they aren't tormented. We all respect these animals because it's how we make our living. If a horse isn't treated well, it doesn't perform well. That's simple logic. It's in our best interests to make sure these animals are well taken care of.
Alexandros1294 5 months ago
its funny that people try to say that the animals are the ones being abused......i love rodeos and ride broncs myself and i know for a fact that its the people being abused and not the animals.....the proof is right here in this video

man those are some rank horses.

@CrimsonxTears thanks
SaintOfSin21 1 year ago
@CrimsonxTears Well... a lot of these horses aren't broken yet, and the ones that are, are trained to buck. It is bad on any other horse, but on broncs, it's alright. A lot of the horses you see people use to catch the bronc after the rider falls off are ex-saddle broncs. They turn into great horses.
Alexandros1294 1 year ago
@CrimsonxTears
Yes sir thiers a big adrenaline rush in it and when your a cowboy even one that does not partake in rodeo events if you have grown up around horses you are always taught to get back on after you fall... or at least every cowboy i know has been tought this and im sure that everyone on here will agree with that statement
RodeoCowBoy117 1 year ago
@RodeoCowBoy117 ha. even us "sissy" dressage ppl are taught to get back on the horse :P
PotterYouRotter7 1 year ago
@PotterYouRotter7 LOL well its always better to get back on and show the animal you are not affraid if you can show that to the animal you have a better chance of gaining its trust over time and having a much smoother ride in the future
RodeoCowBoy117 1 year ago
@CrimsonxTears im an english rider too. ya you dont want to be bucked off, but dont be terrified at the idea or you will definetly have a bigger chance on falling off. and its not as if you cant get back on if you fall.
PotterYouRotter7 1 year ago
@PotterYouRotter7 Oh yeah, I've definitely been bucked off before haha so I'm not exactly scared of it, but when I watched this video, it pretty much blew my mind.

these people are sick. and thats a bad sick not a good sick. they UTTERLY WRECK perfectly willing and good horses and turn them into fire-hearted bucking machines. i can't understand for the life if me why anyone would want to go and watch such a revolting sport. it shouldn't even be allowed to be called a sport!! those people are all sick, idiotic freaks who have nothing better to do with their time.
bestiehorse1997 1 year ago
@bestiehorse1997 what in the hell are you talking about??? they dont "utterly wreck" the horses.
DurhamRebel 1 year ago
@bestiehorse1997

@Alexandros1294 i have an ex saddle bronc and i use him for dressage xD

your a dumb ass... these sick idiotic freaks (Cowboys Proper Term :) by the way) make ten times the amount of money in a year that you probably make in three. and besides those poor poor animals you talk about have it much much better than any ranch horse working horse or trail horse in the world have it. these animals are specifically trained to buck its the flank strap and spurs that do it not torture or what ever the hell you belive does...
