@Praxxus55712 The reasoning was that to start with, while they are small it is better to protect them from the elements. Then bing them out when they are larger.
Should definetly have a compost pile in the backyard...wouldn't take up much room and would provide excellent free organic compost to keep the garden going.
Beautiful bluebells! Watching your vid made me feel so guilty for having done nothing yet to our vegetable patch which is now buried under heaps of weed...
Actually we did dig some of them up and pot them. They grew about 1.5 feet tall and the flowers turned to buds which then weight the plant down. I am not sure what to do with the buds which I assume are the seeds. I might throw them in a wood somewhere where they have a chance of growing next year.
I'd say compost is the best for pots.....but bigger the pot the better!

@dionysusstar Yes we do, but it takes a year or 2 to make compost from waste and we needed some to get us started.

Whilst you're putting in this garden, you should also be creating a compost heap. If you want more info on how to do this, just ask :)

Bluebells are rare! In Europe anyway. You could always dig them up, put them in pots and keep them for decoration.
