  • kool vid, that is a sweet ass muzzle break you have there man

  • What scope do you have on it? Or do you have a better scope to suggest for the Super SASS? Thanks,

  • Can anyone tell me if the length of the barrel plays a roll in decreased sound using a suppresor? I have a dpms min-sass 5.56 and plan on using a yankee hill phantom suppressor. I have watched a few videos where the sound suppression varies significantly from ar to ar. Is that the reason? It seems the shorter the barell the louder the suppression.

  • Anyone here have in-depth knowledge about simi auto 308 rifles? I'm looking for a Simi Auto 308 rifle I have found: Knight's Armament SR-25 $5,000, H&K 417 $4,000, Springfield Armory Standard M1A $1,347.80, Remington R-25 Rifle $1,359.05, and ArmaLite AR-10A4CBF Carbine $1,247.48. Looking for multi purpose fun to shoot / low maintenance / deer to big game hunting. Looking for near AK-47 reliability with well placed follow up shots, large magazine & drum, & (bonus Slidefire) cost under $1,500

  • Can I run the suppressor without an adj gas block? How much blowback would there be?

  • I'm looking to get a ar10, is it worth getting the adjustable gas system if I'm not running a silencer?

  • is it running subsonic?

  • I've been looking for an ar-10 for a while, but I want the tactical rails on them to add accessories easier, did you buy you ar-10 with that rail already on it, or did you have to buy it separately? either way, where did you get it the ar-10 tactical rail?

  • is it worth getting the super sass if you dont plan to use a suppressor?

  • whats your barrell length?

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • Thats one sexy gun and very nice suppressor!

  • How much did the silencer cost and how what model scope is that? Do you have a 2.5 trigger pull? Thanks,

  • Boner

  • this just gave me an erection

  • im hard

  • Are these civilian sr 25s

  • @USNSarDiver read the comments below you. that pretty much answers your question

  • What are all the modifications/attachments you have made too this gun?

  • I'd like to hear this rifle with sub sonic ammunition, its hard to decipher how effective the suppressor was with the sound barrier crack

  • So the AR-10 is basically a AR-15 chambered in .308? (Although it came out earlier than the AR-15.)

  • From 1 - 10, how well would you qualify this gun compared to others? =/ and if not much problems, mind me asking how much you paid for it?

  • @harold562 Ive heard amalites are on of the best for their .308 cals. (especially the triggers) after all it IS the ORIGINAL. I cant say for sure though ive never fired one. and this model hes using is around 3,200. you get what you pay for.

  • @th3airsofttitan It's only the original by the name.. The current Armalite rifle is not built to the magazine specs of the original Stoner design. SR-25 pattern rifles are closer to Eugene Stoner's original design. After all Stoner did help develop the SR-25 after Armalite was sold..

  • @scarred4life1 well i wish I could afford the knights sr25. its just too damn expensive for me at this time. im starting with a rra lar 8 this summer :)

  • @th3airsofttitan Yea they are not worth the 5k price tag. There are alot of 308 AR manufacturers out there. Plus they all use the Standard SR-25/DPMS pattern magazines.

  • @scarred4life1 plus the sr25 is not available for civilians at the moment because knights is already at max production for the military. (so i heard) either way this will be my first AR. dont want to wait too long or else the big bad govt might take them away. >:p obama is one hell of a sales person. hahaha

  • @th3airsofttitan PM me, I would like to talk to about which 308 to buy. Dont waste money on a Knights. I personally would recommend using The Ma-Ten receiver sets. That way you can use whatever barrel you want but still be able to use Magpul's 20 round 308 Pmag. You are somewhat correct about 308 pistons. LWRC makes a 308 with a piston (bad-ass weapon). But no manufacturer makes a piston conversion set for 308s yet. Adams Arms might be working on one though. LWRC's 308 rifle is amazing.

  • is that sub sonic ammo? if so its still a lil loud...

  • @cliobogger that's normal ammo. the high pitch is from the supersonic crack. if it wasn't suppressed, the main sound would be lower in tone and wouldn't last as long. it they were subsonic, 1 you'd just hear a click, and 2 it wouldn't cycle the action.

  • beautyful rifle.

  • great set-up. I plan on grabbing one of these when I get the spare "pocket change". these .308 ARs are never cheap

  • @th3airsofttitan You can pick up a brand new RR LAR-8 for $1300. Which is a pretty good deal considering a AR-15 is around $1000.

  • @XtcRaver420 Rock River isn't in the same class as Armalite. You can get a Taurus .45 for $500 but it's nowhere near a Kimber or Colt .45.

Buy once, cry once. You get what you pay for.

  • @KillShot762 Yes but for a target shooter, the LAR-8 isn't a bad choice. I was just showing an example for pocket change ( under a few thousand. )

  • @XtcRaver420 Ah, I gotcha!

  • if you upgrade to a gas piston it will eliminate the carbon build up and keep your bolt running cooler it will also regulate your gas some, make it easier to shoot

  • @DarkRavenNudist1 There is no 308 piston conversion kit...

  • @scarred4life1 actually i think there is, i swear ive seen a 308 AR10 that had a piston. might have been a normal AR but im fairly sure it was 308.

  • Are you using subsonic rounds?

  • @Jusrin21 subsonic 308s ? hahaa

  • damn 308 kicks like a mother fucker....

  • @kapelanZnew It's not that bad, a lot less than the 10 gauge I use anyway.

  • man you got a badass follow thru

  • Awesome setup.

  • Are you using an adjustable gas block?

  • does a suppressor change the recoil impulse? or "feel"?

  • @restorationsanity Yes it makes it a little more "snappy." I don't know if you've ever shot .40 or .45 pistols, but in my opinion firing a .45 is similar to a regular assault rifle. Firing the snappier .40 round is like firing a suppressed assault rifle.

  • Dear santa........

  • why do the casings eject different with the suppressor on it? does it have to do with blowback or how the supressor releases gasses?

  • @122ffsdd neither, if you look closely the camera is at a different angle, most likely because when the shooter reloaded he changed his seating arrangement. and, the suppressor has nothing to do with the blow-back system because it catches the gas that come out of the end of the barrel while the blow-back system catches it at mid barrel or so :)

  • @122ffsdd with a suppressor attached you DO increase your blow back, which makes your chamber a lot dirtier especially with a .308 that is why the brass is being ejected faster with the suppressor.

  • @122ffsdd The AR10 is gas operated. The suppressor causes a big increase in internal pressure in the barrel itself. Therefore, more pressure is passed down the gas tube, and back into the action. Causing the bolt to cycle much faster, and ejecting the case further.

  • What kind of muzzle brake is that on there at the beginning of the video?

  • Press Pause, then press play.

Hold 2 and hear full auto AR-10 w/o suppressor

    OR

Hold 9 and hear full auto AR-10 w suppressor

Thumbs up if you get it!

  • If you start loading your own rounds at sub super-sonic speeds you wont even hear the sound of a .22 resemblance . Really just the hammer click and firing pin. Im assuming it would be hard to do though with a .308

  • @blogsdo12 You can use already loaded Lapua Subsonic 200 grain rounds which are the most accurate that I've shot through my suppressors. The bolt won't cycle though but who gives a crap when the only noise is the firing pin and the bolt clicking in place.

  • @NRAdude niiice thanks a lot for the info . im gonna have to get in on some 200 grains now. Thanks again

  • @blogsdo12 No problem. MidwayUSA sells them too I think...

  • @blogsdo12

Somehow I think it would be a bit louder than that. In any case, you would need to get a different bolt return spring to account for the decrease in pressure if you wanted the gun to cycle properly.

  • Abracadabra:

  • Seems kind of pointless to make suppressors illegal. All they really do is make it difficult to tell where someone is shooting from. You're still firing at about 110 decibels.

  • I own and operator Sniper Company, you can check our site & forums for more information we suggest Suppressed Armament Systems suppressors. They make suppressors for Accuracy International. If you check our YouTube channel SniperCompanyLLC you can see more videos.

  • where do you even get silencers cause i want one

  • @lilaznshorty711 based on your voice from you upload you got some time before you think about getting one junior... im not trying to hate on you

  • THEY WISH TO MAKE IT ILLEGAL WITH THE SILENCER THE SAME LOGIC USED WITH TEFLON COATED BULLETS THAT THE CALL COP KILLER BULLETS REALLY FUNNY YOU CAN STILL BUY TEFLON COATING SPRAY YOU KNOW NO DIFFERENCE

  • kudos man bad ass gun... been wanting a 7.62x51 ar myself... thumbs up

  • suppressor makes it sound like a pissed off 22LR

  • @DanthemanhasaRam lol so true

  • @DanthemanhasaRam now that you mention it yeah it does

  • Oh, and it's only rednecks that haven't been in places like ghanni or the mog that want "loud, big, heavy, firebreathing, 7.62 caliber rifle at a minimum" because they never wonder why our special forces troops (the most highly trained soldiers in the world) would want silencers, and also manage to kill over 20 people for every person they lost while outnumbered 3,000 to 100 as the away team. We shoulda just sent you not them. (Muzzle flashes are what got the skinnies killed, shoot back at it!)

  • @Jamfanwp its not a silencer... its a suppressor... just saying

  • hmm with silencer sounds like a small caliber..

  • Seems to be a no brainer. Let's imagine ourselves up the river without a paddle on a volunteer mission, protecting downed brothers in a stinking sh@#hole place called Mogudishu, Somalia( I know it's bold but bear with me). Situation f.u.b.a.r. hostiles on drugs in every direction and they all want to kill you and desecrate your corpse. I am gonna say I want a loud, big, heavy, firebreathing, 7.62 caliber rifle at a minimum. Why? Cause 1 shot drops em anywhere it hits em. That is a fact. the end.

  • @glassynole Heh, AK's Don't drop people like you think, the rounds go straight through. There's ONE way to sum up the 7.62 vs 5.53 argument. 7.62 will shoot straight through a cinder block wall and cause a person hit on the other side to have a bad, bad last few minutes of their life (unless they have body armor). A 5.56 won't do much after the wall, but will drop someone on the spot most of the time in one single shot if you shoot just them. Accuracy is an issue on AK's too, you can't hit shit.

  • @Jamfanwp Never said A.K.'s did anything. When I said 7.62 I should have been specific and said 7.62x51. Just figured since the vid was about an AR in .308 it would be obvious that I was talking about 7.62x51 not 7.62x39. 5.56 is perfectly adequate in "situations" especially if you use 62grn ss109 m855 ammo. The Tungsten steel rod will go through walls, floors, ect..... Really comes down to doing the best with what you have at that moment and personal preference.

  • @Jamfanwp which is why the 7.62x51 is the most preffered round of law enforcement and many long range shooters... distance + knock down = kicking some ass. and thats not an ak... dumbass

  • fucking beast. my ar-15 hides in shame.

  • @EliteDefenseInc

I'm sorry you think that, this is a gret gun, but apples and oranges.

  • Think my brain is jizzing. Nice rifle

  • @blackjerryboymetal Guess you missed the private message I sent you, inviting you out to shoot. It wasn't a taunt to a dick measuring contest. It was a genuine invitation to demonstrate my point. The only one who is embarrassing you is YOU. No one can force you to learn. Sorry to waste your time.

  • @blackjerryboymetal

Your position is based on false assumption of both the reason .223 is popular in competition (the AR15) and the terminal effects. My position is based on personal experience with both cartridges around the world. Quite a few other professionals have gotten a laugh out of your comments. If you would like to actually learn something, then feel free to meet me in the real world. If you want to continue to allow the internet to shape your perception, then feel free to decline.

  • @blackjerryboymetal

Brother, I have been shooting both in a professional capacity for a long time at ranges from 500 to 1000 yards. Your comments demonstrate the danger of believing the internet over having real world experience. I tell you what, if you want to head on down to Southern Indiana I will take you out to the range with a 20" .223 and 20" .308 and you can tell me after we are done if you think your statement holds water.

  • @blackjerryboymetal

They are as different as can be. I highly suggest you check your facts. I own and shoot both 5.56NATO (.223Rem) and 7.62NATO (.308 Win). They require different ammo, have different applications and have totally different max effective ranges. The cases don't even accept the same size primers.

  • Nice set up! Someday.....

You can see it speeding up the cyclic rate quite a bit. Without the can, the brass is ejecting rearwards, with the can it is ejecting more forward and noticeably faster.

  • dude awesome weapon all you need is the gas piston conversion and that would be the most badass assault rifle combo!!! i want an AR10 so bad the hell with the 5.56 lol

  • Great video glad your someone shoooting big guns and not airsoft

  • beautiful firearm. ar-15s look completely pussyfied because of this gun

  • @CHURCHxOFxSCOTTxBOND

    Not really.

  • I think there's five pounds of cheek fat on that PRS.

  • i have one just like that mine shoots a 223 though

  • all my new videos are under "Sniper Company" check them out!

  • this is my sniper im buying :) its beaster then i thought

  • very nice.. where did you buy most of your parts I am getting a lower this week and I am wondering where the best places are for AR 10 stuff I built one AR 15 already and I want to do the 308 now- any help? thanks

  • In a way I'm glad suppressors are stigmatized. If they weren't then it would be illegal to shoot a gun without a muffler on it. Using the logic of why suppressors are regulated I think that mufflers on cars should be banned so that robbers can't sneak up your driveway at night.

  • @H110orWin296 LOL then everyones' car would sound like a friggin semi truck

  • @H110orWin296 The 2nd Amendment says nothing about infringing your personal right to keep and bear arms based on advancments of firearms. Have you heard a car with straight pipes? If you think a Harley is loud. That is nothing compaired to a V-8 with straight pipes. It's a matter of annoyance with having to hear a car without a muffle. I get pissed off when I get woke up by a loud car.

  • @H110orWin296 I love that way of thinking! XD

  • @H110orWin296 there is no logic. Its all about taxation and job preservation for ATFE

  • @H110orWin296 good point brother

  • @H110orWin296

    Very well written sir.

  • The titanium supressors are a little over rated I think there good for pistols but I would like to go with a heavier YHM one when were talking about 308

  • @miccreu: To protect your hearing and keep the noise level down all together. Like sound walls on a freeway.

  • stupid question but what would a civilian need a suppressor for? that supprises me that they are even leagal but in most states you cant even have a magizine that holds more then 10 rounds...silly laws

  • @miccreu

to suppress the gun, why else?

  • how much is it approxomately for an m16 standard rifle`in dollars?

  • Well thanks to the anti-rights politicians, civilians can't buy any automatics made after 1986, so with the number artificially capped an actual M16 will cost you 10k+.

But there are a dozen or so companies making AR-15s (the civilian rifles the M16 is based on) for as little as 600.

They used to be cheaper but last year's election and One Party Rule drove prices through the roof.

  • i see

  • Nive can

  • don't you have to pay like 200 dollars a year to keep that supressor legally?

  • nope, just $200 once.

  • and no other bothersome conditions?

  • nope, $200 for the stamp. And the paper work has to be accompanied with the suppressor at all times.

  • how much is the supressor worth?

  • usually $600 to $1300 for a good 308 suppressor.

  • Could you use subsonic ammo and post your results? Would love to hear the difference between your super-sonic and subsonic on Ar-10 suppressed
