Hey idk if you already got the comp but i suggest getting a Intel core 2 quad not the i7, a lot of weird things going on with i7's and the intel quads been outdoing them in benchmarks.

I have the 1200 too, but was worried of not getting room for the Noctua NH-U12P SE1366, looks like the case has space for it :D

have you been able to get your ram to run at 1800MHZ with the 920. I have the Corsair 1866 and read that with the 920 it's hard to OC the ram to 1800.

hi thanks for comment. nope i cant get stable my ocz 1866mhz is running at 1523 7-7-7-16 timings 1.66v and i7 at 3.8ghz. the higher the cpu freq goes i noticed you have to lower ram freq to get a stable overclock.

Yeah, I worried about that myself, Me and you and preety much the same components, except you have a better cooler. I looked at the Noctua and really thought it was probably the best air cooler out there, but it didn't fit my theme, so I sacrificed a little performance

(CM V8) for aesthetics, but that a different story. Do you have 920 C0 stepping or D0 stepping, wonder if the D0 would help any.

I should have done better research before spending the extra $ on 1866MHz ram

Yea the noctua is probably the best but looks so boring! also i have the C0 as i got it for around 100Dollars cheaper than the D0 of a freind. i made exactly the same mistake as you buying 1866mhz ram thinking i could run it at the rated speeds with an overclock. im going to try and get a refund for the ram actually and but some 1600mhz corsair dominators as they are better ram overall and look nicer imo. thanks for the comment :)

Hey that sounds great, if you do get a refund and purchase the 1600 Dominator, look at the Dominator GT. I tried to get a refund on mine from Corsair, 3 mos after I had purchased it, so I could buy the GT. They basically said are you HIGH! LOL When I bought mine, Corsair was the one ones selling the GT and they were always on back order. Oh well :-(

Also when I bought the 920 C0 3mos ago I found it on a one day sell at Fry's for $225. that's what started this build.saved 100 and spent thousands

hi yea you should of said to them that you were getting bsods at stock speeds while loading into windows or something and asked for lower freq ones as a swap and get some money back also.that would of made you look genuine :D. ill phone ocuk in a few hours as it is 5.50am here in uk XD. nice you got the i7 very cheap!
