With Hardy and Hathaway acting and Nolan directing this movie would be near perfect. But, Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman brings it down a lot. Sorry, but Bale just doesn't do it.
Bales the perfect Wayne/Batman. He has this face where he can pull off the boyish heart behind the character when need be, but also look fierce and intimidating on his own. He has this charm and suave thats essential for Wayne. Also, he's very entertaining to watch. Everyone Batman before him has been terrible. Unappealing to say the least, yes even Keaton only the nostalgia turds like him. Keaton was bland and boring and his Batman killed. Bales an excellent B-man too

Tom Hardy is one of my fav actors for sure.. Black Hawk Down, Layer Cake, Inception, Warrior, and although Bronson wasn't great, he did an epic character in it. Now DKR.
@XsteveboiX I mentioned his character in Bronson, just wasn't a fan of the movie itself. Just preference is all. The Warrior wasn't a large budget movie and I loved it.
Hardy will be amazing i do not doubt it...but he must bring even more to reach the Heath Ledgers level as batmans opponent. But he has the potencial. Can´t wait to see it.

@theaxylum I disagree, for one we don't really know Bane, second, everyone is comparing the Joker vs Bane and their two different Villans. Same purpose but different. I think Tom Hardy as Bane will be brilliant I've seen to much of his work, who knows.......(don't kill, just objective) he may "do" better than ledger in the movie, truth is we just don't know until July 20, 2012. Heath ledgers performance can't be replaced, but Nolan wouldn't do a movie that couldn't surpass TDK

For example if you ask someone: Do you like apples? and someone says YES, that's going to be the same thing as if you ask the same person: You don't like apples, right? And the answer will be NO...
in comic book, Bane is only bad 'hero' who smashed Batman in fight eye in eye and Bane before he die he broke Batman's back, in the movie, we will se that or something else?
I think he will break Batman, but not in a physical way. The Joker set things in motion, he threw Gotham into chaos, turned the city against Batman, and forced his hand to actually kill someone (Dent), having refused to kill anyone directly before. I think in this film, Bane will capitalise on what the Joker started, plunge Gotham into rioting, violence and really screw up Batman.

@cryomanic I think thats whats supposed to happen, or will happen. this will be the last movie for Christian Bale, but not batman. Christopher Nolan is already planning a "reboot" for the trilogy and Bale said he isn't going to do it. (Hollywood is making Nolan do this) so in order to end Bale's Batman, I think having Bane put him in the wheelchair would be perfect for Batman fans since it would follow the comics.

Now that the scarecrow is in the movie it all makes sense as to how bane will appear larger than normal. Given Christopher Nolans desire to make everything grounded in reality, somewhat, I think the scarecrow will make bane appear larger to batman when he sprays him with his fear toxin. So horrible actors? Nolan demands acting talent before anything. Hathaway is a brilliant actress. Yes the sexual appeal may not be as prominent, but honestly its time people looked at catwoman as a serious person and not some sex image. I have deep respect for Nolan taking WHO CATWOMAN IS seriously.

@theaxylum I disagree, for one we don't really know Bane, second, everyone is comparing the Joker vs Bane and their two different Villans. Same purpose but different. I think Tom Hardy as Bane will be brilliant I've seen to much of his work, who knows.......(don't kill, just objective) he may "do" better than ledger in the movie, truth is we just don't know until July 20, 2012. Heath ledgers performance can't be replaced, but Nolan wouldn't do a movie that couldn't surpass TDK

The subtitles just put his answer into correct grammar. So yeah, the subtitles are right.

@veer49 I think it's just about the interpreter, he reformulated the question. And Tom heard it differently than the question was supposed to be asked. For example if you ask someone: Do you like apples? and someone says YES, that's going to be the same thing as if you ask the same person: You don't like apples, right? And the answer will be NO...

I think he will break Batman, but not in a physical way. The Joker set things in motion, he threw Gotham into chaos, turned the city against Batman, and forced his hand to actually kill someone (Dent), having refused to kill anyone directly before. I think in this film, Bane will capitalise on what the Joker started, plunge Gotham into rioting, violence and really screw up Batman.

@cryomanic I think thats whats supposed to happen, or will happen. this will be the last movie for Christian Bale, but not batman. Christopher Nolan is already planning a "reboot" for the trilogy and Bale said he isn't going to do it. (Hollywood is making Nolan do this) so in order to end Bale's Batman, I think having Bane put him in the wheelchair would be perfect for Batman fans since it would follow the comics.

I don't think anyone can top Heath Ledgers, Joker, but hopefully they're not rebooting just to try and make a new joker. that would be stupid, even if batman needs joker, i don't think anyone can do a better joker than heath. i want them to do something with robin or even nightwing.

i wander if they will put in the lil things that make Bane like his lil teddy bear Osito and btw, Bane was Indo-Carribean decent which is East Indian which also are universally English as the main dialect called Carribean-English so his look and accent IS dead on, as for his mask, Bane never shown his face, even with himself alone in the room, so i disagree with this mask, it should have been made with a black under cloth with maybe? inferred goggles (modern military-esk)

Now that the scarecrow is in the movie it all makes sense as to how bane will appear larger than normal. Given Christopher Nolans desire to make everything grounded in reality, somewhat, I think the scarecrow will make bane appear larger to batman when he sprays him with his fear toxin. What do you all think? Pretty smart of Nolan. huh?
