i go up to Duluth a lot on the way to canoeing country,the thing about the "can" is the way you come into it.after a long drive from Minneapolis at 70MPH on a straight as an arrow freeway in the middle of nowhere you make a wide turn and then drop down a long-long ear popping hill and right into a tangle of on and off ramps.the locals know whats going on but it can be a confuser..speed traps on one section have to be watched for.50 is hard to do after hours of 75
lol if you have a laptop and happen to search for wifi near there youll find a network called "CaNoFwOrmS" i thought that was funny to know for oll the duluthians like me.
Are you talking about that big 6 or 7 lane intersection on piedmont that was by the old gas station that they re-did because big trucks would alwasys crash going down the steep hill? That was the same road that this is just farther up the road and now its redone..and that tech school is now Lake Superior College and I go there and I must say it is a great school!!
Nah trust me although Spaghetti Junction looks confusing, it's mostly pretty lanier, you can only go one of two ways. It just happens to have alot of flyovers and overpasses in the same area, it's not really that confusing.

I've never heard of this exit being called can of worms. All I know is whoever designed it must've done something wrong because there's a stoplight when you come off of 35 heading northbound and enter 53 going northbound, and it intersects with 53 going southbound. It's wierd.

Thats not the original can o' worms in duluth. the old one was near/past Enger kinda close to that Duluth Technical College. Its not there anymore

Yeah its nickname "can of worms" reminds me of that interchange called "spaghetti juntion" near atlanta except that one is alot bigger of course..!
