I hope that kid is okay, because there wasn't anything right about how this procedure was done. Those abscesses are EXTREMELY painful. I can't even imagine this being done without anesthetic.

Ouch man that looks really painful , i had the same thing too but mine stretched toward the other side of mine arm, had it for one week and a half, until it decided to pop, and it started to drain out, it took it 3 days to drain out, and the best way to drain it out is by lying down on the floor with one arm face upwards towards you're head while letting someone drain it out by pushing the top the top skin to drain it out.

Some of you arent reading the info. It says "After this we went to er and he had emergency surgery". So this is not him in the hospital. It's probably in his house with family trying to help him. Im curious how he got this in that area of his body. Check my page and you will see what one looks like wide open a day after surgery. They stapled mine shut a week later after two surgeries. I hope everything went well for you. They are very painful depending on location and size.
I had these in the past and they are quite painfull. Should have squeezed it yourself dude....it wouldn't have been as painful. On a second note....your arm looks terribly infected.. My first choice would have been using a RAZOR BLADE too!
NO doctor in this picture. No doctor will "operate" like that. I can believe the immediate emergency surgery. Look how red and infected that arm is. He is getting septic is my bet. He needed some IV antibiotics plus surgical debriedment of that area. Sure hope he got it. Good luck. RN
