  • Newtek will be gone by this time next year, what with the failure of Lightwave, the poor sales of this nightmare product, and their continuing history of horrible customer support and service.

  • @falconbleau Lets just hope they give us some code for Webcamstudio and linux.

  • Hello I would like to help you if you can I'm from Georgia Temur I want this program to study but could not be found, and can you tell me where the top thanks to a large

  • Don't get NewTek. Worst product I have ever had.

  • Key : DduU-3VuR-VbfM-ANqe-871c

    HD : P0nE-T3qc-RAVr-kPcK-48a2

  • "As you can see here it has a lot of transitions" (Disclaimer most if not all can be done in Imovie) HUR HUR CAN I HAZ GREEN SCREEN?

  • @qqstar999 iMovie can do this live? i don't think so. Also iMovie can't really do any of the DVE's on the TriCaster

  • I work at a TV studio currently, and I use the NewTek VT4 which is no less than a buggy un-upgradeable piece of crap. It is like the engineers decided half way in that they were done. Best part is that the only way you can work the bugs out is to call a technician to come down and figure out that crap for themselves.

I have also used this tricaster. Somehow the engineers got their stuff together for a decent product for once.

  • Looks like a MUST HAVE

  • make virtual sets in second life and then chroma key yerself into them :) and then use wirecast same difference

  • We have this at our school! It's awesome!!

  • i bought one , very expensive! i use it with ustream

  • Hi MaksisKotovics, I'm looking to do the same. I you wouldn't mind could you pleas message me. I'd like to know what you purchased specifically and your setup. Thanks!

  • i want one so badly, if i had the money.

unfortunately, for such a small "pirate" broadcaster like we run, we are restricted to selfbuilt CGs with low resolution, modified scan-converters and equipment bought on Ebay.

What Tricaster can do LIVE is amazing.

Just take look at one of my videos, with what piece of 80s technology i insert station logo ?v=tWbgN1K4Ebs

and if power outage happens, i loose my logo (i would have to wire up EPROMs inside to prevent that)

  • @rtbvhsrip Just wait. I aint paying 25,000 for a program either. Someone will make a universal switcher, and I am working on linux "broadcaster" a program just like this, only different!! I love Linux, it makes all things possible. Join us.

  • Theres a HD version comin soon , we have all the Tricasters here in Toronto, They are amazing!

  • lol there like 5000-10000 dollars i got one =)

  • JourneyEd & other 'educational discount' suppliers have it for less. Def worth being 'a student' to get these kinds of discounts.

  • All authourized Newtek dealers have Educational prices, look on the newtek site for a dealer in your area

  • NICE!!!

  • Im sold were can I purcahse one? Also can the tracaster support High defintion?

  • nah. it doesn't support HD unfortunately. it does support widescreen.

  • are you SURE it doesn't support HD?

  • er.... YES.

wtf. why did you vote me down. I'M RIGHT.

  • The TriCaster ThreePlay supports HD.
