This cideo was why I was very sceptical about Cyring Lightning and the album at first. The long hair was a bit of a shock but then Alex looking like a twat singing just killed it for me. People might disagree but look at the video and watch Alex singing. Doesn't look great. Not how he normally sings either.

Good on them for not brainlessly trying to hold on to past glory - it was what it was but it's time to move on. It'll be funny to see if their Fred Perry-wearing fan base will embrace the change of image and do likewise. Mostly their fans will stay on board but there will always be some shallow-tons who stop liking the music because the new image doesn't fit.

okay, matt is just the only one that looks decent. nick looks fine. but alex and jamie? haha they went from being the hottest to the drugged up looking. i thought the first two albums were superb. What I really meant to say is that all artists has some little signature to put on records. there's no way they should sound the same, but the album lacks a bit of energy. it's starting to grow on me, it was a good thing they did reinvent themselves, but maybe the josh homme influence may not have been the right idea. i prefer their songs with james ford.

Their new music is not as childish or youthful as before

its actually more serious in a way

 so for them to have serious music with a serious video would make them too much of a "Serious" band
