Mariah Carey (...one of the best female vocalist on earth I think) said it all. She didn't sound good, she sounded ridicously amazing. I believe Mariah Carey more than than the judges.
I had forgotten how good she was. I really like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie, Katherine, but I think Carly had the best pure voice of anyone in any of the seasons to date.

I actually read this comment, triamera and then had to hurry over and hear it. I STILL don't think she "pulled it off" in the Studio Version of this song but i was pleasantly surprised with some of the choices she made to make it her own. I was actually WOWed when Kelly Clarkson sang it on the results show of the top 3 in Season One. (Not the time she sang it in the BIG red dress, that was aweful) but the jeans and burgundy top! Check it out!

no way the best voice ever on idol... not as good as jennifer hudson, fantasia barrino or kat mcphee... but on par with ruben studdard, elliott yamin and kelly clarkson... def one of the best.
katherine mcphee comes no where close to carly or kelly...carly is by far one of the best voices, i think she was honestly better than the top two this season. a better singer but not the perfomer or artist like the davids

@FlightX101 Leona is a great singer no doubt, but god she is so overrated. Her voice is not even clear...husky voice like mary j. is far greater than hers. She can reach high notes alright but it was cloudy. Simon is rubbish...don't listen to him all the time. He does not know shit about music. He just thinks if anything can wow him, that's good. Well, that's not true at all. Music is much more than that.

The aspect ratio on this video is wrong. Everybody looks skinny. Not sure what caused that.
