@AshaleeDanyell since you live there maybe you can help me with a question. There used to be a go kart track that was on the main strip (not the go karts on maddox by the golf courses) but once you got off the bridge entering the island you make a right and go all the way down to the camp grounds and a dead end. Why did that go kart place close? I was there the other week and it was closed down?
@grabmygoobers Been closed for quite a while. I think it was closed because the insurance got to be too much. Ask Eddie Tull. He owns it.
And you don't get into the park for free because you're driving one of those rented 3 wheel cars. In fact when we ride mopeds over to the beach, each one of us has to pay or have a pass.
@fuxgood I was at the go kart place many years ago and saw two little girls in a kart loose control and run through the chain link fence knocking over a bystander. The girls faces got cut I think. I always wondered if that was the reason if they sued the owner. When I went down they had an rv parked in the middle of the track with weeds grown all around it. I am glad to see not much has changed since I was last there. I saw they added some stores at the circle on the maddox side.
I just got back from chincoteague. the house we rented for a week was called edie's folly and it was kickass. Loved the vacation we had, tons of fun. plus its only like 45 mins away from OC.
i love Chincoteague island. Im in chincoteague island right now and i am driving where he is right now. I absaltly love it here. The sea shell cafe has the best coffee EVER. Thats were im at right now. Thanks for posting this.
ive been there, there are alot of beach shops downt that road! i love sunsatiosn beachware...fun fun fun, theres a macdonalds down on the way back from assateague too, with ponies there. fun
i know every place on chincoteague i know it like the back of my hand and i really wish i lived here and if u go 2 chincoteague go to the hamton inn the best place 2 go 2 if ur staying in a hotel. Loved this place when I was a kid. Ten of us or so rented mopeds on the Island then rode them to Wallops NASA visitor center, after exiting the center the owner of the moped rental place was outside waiting for us. He told us the mopeds were not supposed to be taken from Chincoteague Island. He was tipped off by a passing motorist who saw us buzzing by, luckily he was cool about it and didn't break our balls. Is Mr. Whippy's still there?
Another thing,no biggy,but its not pronounced chinkotink.That sounds like a chinese kinkos.Go to rays shanyt on wallops island,tell them Glock sent you.
