2 years ago. It was a free, generic LG flip phone from Verizon. It was the one that had big speakers at the hinge. Then I got the Storm :) All is well in the universe. So, looking at when I get my next phone LTE will be brand new. Yay me for perfect timing.
As they have a more heavy competitor in the cell industry it's going to see what their competitors end up doing when it comes to the cool services like Maps that they will want to have on their phones. My guess is that eventually they will end up going to a different provider for those since why would they go and help their competitor? Just a thought.
I'm excited for the Pre though - I think it's going to rock the house.
