@ArcadeBumstud I'm guessing that this is from the GaoGaiGar FINAL stages, where the Sol Lords used all kinds of enemy units, from ZAFT mobile suits to mechanical beasts as grunt troops with AI.
Look how huge the thing is, maybe you can't tell in SD form, but Gunbuster is gigantic. There is no way they could build multiple Gunbusters, they wouldn't have the time or the resources to do it. It took up to the fifth episode just to complete one Gunbuster. Imagine what it would take to make even more of them.
But they did not make more because it was to expensive and way way to powerful. Just one of its 2 power cores generates more power then the sun.
Thats y they mass produce the Shisler thats about only 1/2 of the Gunbuster's power.
Also they where a bit occupied building the Gunbuster3, A bomb so bit it took almost all the recourses of the solar-system and Jupiter itself, so they could blow up the galaxy.
You need to read more, then. A certain buster machine in Diebuster was nearly the size of the Earth, Getter Emporer in the Getter manga is the size of the Earth, TTGL is the size of a small galaxy, etc.
Gunbuster is 200 meters tall, but it is not the largest. The general classes for robot sizes are "mechanoid", "giant mechanoid" and "super mechanoid". Anything 10 - 50 m is usually mechanoid (most robos fall into this category). 100+ is in the giant category, where it becomes super isn't defined.
@narutofan78215 I think it,s more how the mech works that defines if it,s super or real.
for example Lagann is only half a meter high but is powered by manliness whilst the RX-78-2 who,s around 18 meters high is powered by a Minovsky reactor (it doesn't exist but it,s half way real).
the Gunbuster is somewhere between the two it,s a real robot powered by something unrealistic (a black hole reactor)
But they did. There is a mass produced version of the Gunbuster, the Sizzler battlesuits, which show up in the last episode of the OVA. Make sure to search Youtube for "Sizzler Project."
Why are the JINNs piloted by AI?

While they only made one gunbuster, they made several Sizzler Blacks, which were basically lower powered, mass production gunbusters.

Buster beam: The most absurd and awesome attack ever, well no, after buster kick.
I never understood why earth didn't build, I dunno, more than one gunbuster. I'm pretty sure that would have tilted the odds in Earth's favor.

It's apparently the biggest mecha ever featured in the genre from what I've read on a fan site.

Its so big it has a landing pad on its hand.

Nope. That would be Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, many orders of magnitude bigger. Gunbuster's like a bacteria next to it.

@countrybluegrass the TTGL is a few light years high (he used galaxies as shurikens)

@henritje19
A real galaxy is hundreds of thousands of light years from end-to-end. Anti-spiral galaxies... not so much.

Pretty darn good in this game. Great range, power, hits entire platoons, and looks wicked.
I used mostly Beam, Home Run, Double Collider, and Kick in my runthrough of the game. That's about all you need.
